Does This Small Matter Require Young Master Drake's Attention

Grace's eyes grew hot with emotion. She tugged at Jun Lionhead's sleeve and said, "Master, thank you for caring so much about me."

Jun Lionhead turned and took her hand. "With your master here, you have nothing to worry about. I'll always protect you."

"Master, why are you always so kind to me?" Grace asked.

Jun Lionhead smiled and patted her head. "Because you're my disciple!"

Grace looked at his face and smiled, yet two fresh tears rolled down her cheeks...

Jun Lionhead reached out to wipe away her tears, then said, "Actually, the idea that an Eighteen-level Spirit Alchemist should be the Alliance Leader was the Grand Elder's suggestion. I was just the messenger."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Grace was confused.

"It means he's about to ace the Eighteen-level exam!"

Grace was even more puzzled. "Then why are you helping him?"

"Otherwise, do you think your master could just waltz into being an Elder of the Spirit Alliance?"

Now she understood. "Oh! I get it!"

"You got it?"

"I get it." Grace felt a sudden flash of insight. "I really get it!"

...

That night, Grace snuck out and dragged Felix Xi off to a deserted spot.

"What's going on?" Felix Xi looked around warily.

"Did you take the Red Nullifier Pill?"

The Red Nullifier Pill was the secret alchemical pill Jun Lionhead taught her to make the night before he left Apricot Hill. Its effect: immunity from the Red Truth Pill for one year.

"I did."

Grace said, "I suddenly have an idea."

"What idea?"

"Just in case—I mean just in case—you get caught by Leon Young's men again, don't completely deny that you're the son of the Medicine God."

Felix Xi frowned. "What?"

"You need to say your mother is missing, and you don't know who your father is," Grace said. "Also, say that a mysterious expert once guided you, and you're somehow connected to a legendary treasure."

"You want him to suspect me but not be sure. You want him to want to kill me, but even more, to use me to find my father's inheritance—so he keeps me alive?"

"Wow! Senior brother, you're so quick-witted!"

"So, is this what you dragged me out here to tell me?"

"With our current strength, killing Leon Young or exposing his true identity is like striking a stone with an egg," Grace said. "So, what I want to tell you is... I want to become one of Leon Young's trusted aides."

Felix Xi frowned. "What?"

"That way, first, we can collect evidence of him harming your father, and second, we can learn his weaknesses."

"So how do we become his trusted aide?"

"By using you to climb the ranks," Grace said.

Felix Xi's face darkened. "What are you planning to do with me?"

Grace whispered a plan into his ear.

Felix Xi frowned. "That would put you in danger."

"Ever since I inherited the Medicine God's legacy, danger has been my path," Grace said. "Besides, don't underestimate my brains!"

After all, she'd lived an entire lifetime before.

Felix Xi replied, "Not seeing it."

Grace: "..."

Drake Abyss.

Celestial Palace, the Sunshade Palace where Evan Xiao handles state affairs.

Yin Zhu had just finished receiving orders and was about to leave.

Li Zan was summoned to hear his orders.

Seeing Li Zan arrive, Yin Zhu decided not to leave, hid outside, and peeked inside.

"Your Highness, you called for me?" Li Zan asked.

"Take care of this." Evan Xiao tossed him an old-fashioned invitation.

Li Zan took it and looked: "Spirit Alchemist Alliance Five-Millennium Jubilee? Your Highness, why are you tossing this to me?"

"Send someone from Longyuan to deliver a congratulatory gift." Evan Xiao said expressionlessly. "Do I need to spell it out for you?"

"Oh..." Li Zan blinked. "Or I could go myself!"

Evan Xiao glanced at him. "Does this trivial matter really require Young Master Drake to handle it?"
