Reforging Bone with Spiritual Qi

2/14/2026

Evan Lin hung up the phone and walked out the school gate.

Blade sped over in the car, stopping right in front of Evan, his face heavy with worry.

"I'll drive."

Evan pulled open the driver's side door.

Blade didn't question it and switched to the passenger seat.

Once inside, Evan casually shifted gears and started the engine, then immediately floored the gas pedal.

The engine let out a deep roar as the whole car shot forward like a crazed beast, sweeping left against traffic. The tachometer spun wildly, and in just over ten seconds, their speed had rocketed to one hundred and twenty kilometers per hour.

Blade's heart pounded as the scenery outside blurred past in a rush. Cars loomed ahead, coming straight at them—one wrong move and it would be a total wreck.

Even with Blade's nerves, he was still a little shaken. He turned his head to glance at Evan behind the wheel.

The side profile of the young man was indifferent, his eyes betraying no hint of joy, sorrow, or anger.

He just handled the steering wheel with ease, weaving smoothly through the city streets.

What should've been an hour-long drive took less than twenty minutes before they arrived.

With a clean sweep and a sharp drift, the car slid perfectly to a stop right in front of the military hospital entrance.

Evan pushed open the door, and Blade hurried out, leading the way for him.

"There are five in the squad, from First Blade to Fifth Blade. Only First Blade and Second Blade are seriously hurt..." Blade quickly filled Evan in on the situation.

Guess the other side was holding back—or maybe they just didn’t see the other three as worth their time.

Out of the five, only First Blade and Second Blade have the strongest combat power.

Tiger Fang made this move to directly cut off Knife-Edge Company's chances of winning the upcoming Single-Soldier Showdown.

Evan said nothing, his face calm.

He strode inside, his steps steady and unhurried. The nurses passing by glanced at Evan with a hint of surprise, sensing something unusual about him.

Third floor, outside the ICU.

Eldest Brother Su looked exhausted. Third Blade, Fourth Blade, and Fifth Blade stood by his side, faces full of grief.

The old doctor in a white coat held a medical chart, sighing: "Deputy Commander Su, the best we can hope for is that one of them regains use of his hands, the other can walk again, then both go home and spend a few years just recovering their health."

"Is there really no hope? They're my men! I know better than anyone how outstanding they are! Forcing them to retire now is no different from stealing their future! If there's any chance, please try every possible treatment!" Su pleaded earnestly.

The doctor shook his head. "One's elbow is completely shattered, the other's kneecap is totally destroyed. Injuries like these are beyond what medicine can handle right now."

"Even if we put metal screws in their bones, there's no way they'll live like normal people, let alone stay in the army. That would just be torture for them."

Hearing this, Eldest Brother Su's face grew even darker.

He shifted his gaze and suddenly saw Evan Lin coming up the stairs. Su rushed over: "Master Lin! You're finally here! They..."

Before Su could finish, Evan just shook his head. "Let me check their injuries. There might still be hope."

"Hope? With injuries this bad, there's no way. I don't know who you are, but right now they're ICU patients, and it's my job to make sure they don't get hurt again." The doctor was stunned by Evan's words, then looked at him suspiciously and shook his head.

What annoyed him most was that after he finished talking, neither the sudden young man nor Eldest Brother Su paid him any attention.

The young man walked right around Su and pushed open the ICU door, stepping inside without hesitation.

"You can't go in!" The doctor's face changed when he saw this.

"Let Master Lin do whatever he wants. If anything happens, I'll take responsibility." Eldest Brother Su grabbed the doctor's shoulder and spoke in a deep voice.

The doctor's expression shifted several times, clearly annoyed. "Fine, let's see how this guy plans to fix those injuries!"

He sounded indignant and a bit angry.

After all, he was a veteran doctor in a military hospital—he just couldn't believe injuries like these could ever be cured.

The group all looked into the ICU.

Inside, two hospital beds stood side by side.

First Blade and Second Blade lay there.

First Blade was Frank Xu; Second Blade was the burly, broad-shouldered man.

One had every bone in his hand shattered, the other’s kneecap completely blown apart.

They looked utterly miserable.

Evan stepped forward, reaching out—one hand gently touching First Blade’s hand, the other resting on Second Blade’s leg.

Then Evan guided a stream of spiritual energy into their bodies.

The two currents of spiritual energy felt warm and gentle, slowly starting to reconnect and fuse their shattered bones.

"What does he think he’s doing? Don’t tell me he plans to fix their bones with just his hands—this isn’t some simple fracture!" The doctor crossed his arms and sneered.

"From a professional standpoint, this is a joke. Treating patients like this will only make things worse!"

Eldest Brother Su and Blade stayed silent, staring hard at Evan inside the ICU.

Evan’s face stayed calm, but sweat soon beaded on his forehead and his expression grew tired.

Using spiritual energy to heal injuries isn’t actually that hard—the real challenge is using mental force to guide two streams of energy, finding the exact spot where each shattered bone belongs.

The more delicate the spiritual energy, the harder it is to control. Even most ordinary Golden Core experts would find it a headache to piece together bones like this.

But Evan, with just Foundation Establishment cultivation, was using his powerful mind to heal bones with spiritual energy!

Minute by minute, time ticked by.

Outside the ICU, the doctor kept shaking his head.

Just then, Blade noticed something. He walked up to Eldest Brother Su and whispered a few words.

Hearing this, Eldest Brother Su’s face darkened. He turned to look at the far end of the third-floor hallway.

There, led by Chen Yonghan, a group of people was heading their way.

Chen Yonghan looked full of confidence. Next to him, a man wore a cocky smile, his entire presence radiating a sharp, aggressive aura.

Inside the ICU, Evan slowly withdrew his hands.

First Blade and Second Blade, who had been unconscious, gradually looked better and opened their eyes, tired but awake.
