Intimidation

Everything was perfectly normal—so why suddenly send an Inspector Envoy?

Though for now, no one knows exactly who the Inspector Envoy is...

Brunelle, the supervisory chief of the Law-Enforcement Pavilion's Mory Sector Branch, was certainly unwilling, but no matter how much she disliked it, she had to endure.

"Hmph."

The veiled woman, Brunelle, wore a somber expression. A trace of killing intent flashed in her eyes—she hoped this newly appointed Inspector Envoy would be sensible and not make things difficult for her. Otherwise, she wouldn't even need to act herself; the Mory Sector’s governors would rush to intervene.

The starry sky was dark and cruel—many things simply could not be avoided.

Resources, interests, power—only compromise could keep things stable. Deep down, Brunelle disliked Inspectors.

"It’s not the first time."

"Most Inspector Envoys sent from headquarters never know their place." Brunelle lazily flicked her fingertips, quietly waiting for the Inspector to arrive.

The starry sky was silent. The Law-Enforcement Pavilion’s Mory Sector Branch was built at the edge of a black hole, where terrifying currents of gravity—like swirling storms—coiled around the black hole’s surface, resembling grains of sand and dust.

Outside the black hole was a luminous halo—a grand vortex resembling a ring of light. Within, the black hole’s core gravity devoured and eroded all matter, collapsing and shattering in a frenzy that made even cosmic space tremble.

In terms of sheer power, a single black hole surpassed a hundred thousand Void Rift-tier lifeforms.

Of course.

The black hole’s power was not fully concentrated; it was relatively dispersed, making it difficult to tear through space.

At the black hole’s edge, between the vast gravitational currents and normal starlit space, a circular structure hovered. It appeared delicate and compact, but concealed immense space within. At this moment, everyone from the Mory Sector Branch stood silently at the building’s main entrance, gazing into the distant stars.

Everyone had received the notice.

The Inspector Envoy for the Mory Sector was about to arrive.

Huh?

Brunelle gently furrowed her brow, her gaze flickering.

She clearly saw a silver-gray spaceship approaching the Pavilion branch, but something seemed off.

The spaceship was battered and dilapidated, riddled with dents. Especially as it approached the Pavilion branch, its trajectory was crooked and slanted, the whole vessel shaking violently.

What’s going on here…?

As a Cosmic Eternal, Brunelle spread out her senses, easily penetrating the spaceship’s rain shield to probe its interior.

Even though she disliked Inspector Envoys.

Basic precautions and welcoming ceremonies were still necessary.

If the Inspector Envoy had an accident or was attacked, she would bear unavoidable responsibility. Only after the Inspector officially took office could she retreat to the background and avoid being implicated.

As for now.

Still unaware of the Inspector’s details, Brunelle remained cautious and carefully investigated the spaceship.

Chaos and screams everywhere?

Brunelle frowned, then fell silent. This was a spaceship dragged here by the black hole.
