Seeing this, Victor Liang felt a mix of emotions—helplessness, anger, and a deep sense of pity for the little jailer.
"Gordon, go call Landon Lu in for me."
Gordon looked at him in surprise. "Mayor Liang, are you really going to make the Minister come here...?"
"Go, now!"
Before Gordon could finish, Victor Liang cut him off, visibly irritated.
Watching all this, Tom Sun couldn’t help but grin smugly, already scheming how he’d toy with the little minister once he arrived.
Having been suspended by Victor Liang, Ian Song—outwardly unconcerned—felt a bit annoyed inside. He started reflecting: since coming to this world, had he been too gentle? Given that he possessed the overpowered Puppet Mastery Divine Art, why bother climbing the ladder step by step when he could just directly control the Federation Empire’s big shots?
Thinking this, he couldn’t help but laugh, silently cursing himself for being so stubborn before.
Just as he was about to leave the Special Police base, Gordon Gao hurried over.
Seeing Gordon’s awkward, hesitant expression, Ian asked, "What is it?"
Gordon hesitated and said, "Those bastards refuse to leave the cell. They told Mayor Liang they’ll only go if you come and kneel to apologize."
"Kneel and apologize? Heh." Ian Song chuckled and strode straight toward the jail.
"Minister, are you really going to kneel to them?" Gordon hurried after him, asking.
"What do you think?" Ian glanced at him.
"I don’t think you will!" Gordon replied after a moment’s thought.
"You know me pretty well!" Ian said with a smile.
Chatting as they walked, the two quickly arrived at the jail.
"Ha ha! Little Minister, you finally showed up!" As soon as Ian appeared, Tom Sun burst out laughing like a madman.
Ian glanced at the jailer, who was still twitching in a daze, and his eyes darkened.
Noticing Ian’s look, Tom Sun smirked, "Yeah, I did that! So what are you gonna do about it?"
As he spoke, Tom Sun pulled out the remote and pressed it again. Instantly, the jailer was wracked by another burst of crackling electricity, his body convulsing even harder, wisps of blue smoke rising from his skin.
"I’m torturing your own man right in front of you—aren’t you angry?" Tom Sun stared at Ian with a twisted grin.
"I am a bit angry," Ian replied calmly.
"Good!" Tom Sun smirked. "I remember you said this was your turf. Now I’m messing with your people right here—are you really just going to stand there and watch? Don’t you want to bring me to justice?"
With that, Tom Sun spread his arms wide, threw his head back, and laughed wildly—then pressed the remote again.
But just then, the remote vanished from his hand—and a palm suddenly filled his field of vision.
"Smack!"
The slap echoed through the cell, and Tom Sun’s body went flying, slamming hard into the alloy wall.
"What the...?"
Seeing this, Victor Liang was stunned—he instantly realized that calling Landon Lu here had been a huge mistake.
Gordon, on the other hand, wasn’t surprised at all—he just wore a look that said, ‘I knew it.’ After working with this young boss for a while, he’d come to understand the kind of person he was; there was no way he’d ever bow to a few spoiled brats.
Jason Chen and Jerry Jiang, though, were both taken aback.
But then, a cold, murderous glint flashed in Jason Chen’s eyes—he’d already decided that this little minister had to die.
Tom Sun slowly got up from the floor, spat out a mouthful of blood, and glared at Ian with venom in his eyes. "Little Minister, you’re dead! You’re dead!"
"Landon Lu, I order you—apologize to Young Master Sun right now!"
Victor Liang stormed over, shouting in anger.
"Order me?"
Ian shot Victor Liang a cool glance. "Mayor Liang, you seem to have forgotten—I’ve already been suspended. Since I’m suspended, why should I take orders from you and apologize to this scumbag?"
Victor Liang: "...!"
"Little Minister, I have to admit—you’ve got guts!"
Just then, Jason Chen stepped forward, eyeing Ian with a mocking smile. "You’re just putting on a show of bravado right now. If you kneel and apologize to the three of us, we might consider sparing your life!"
Ian laughed. "Your act is pretty weak—sixty points at best!"
As soon as he finished, Ian raised his hand and slapped Jason Chen across the face!
"Smack!"
Five bright red fingerprints immediately blossomed on Jason Chen’s cheek.
"Guards! Somebody arrest him, now!"
Seeing Ian slap Jason Chen, Victor Liang was nearly apoplectic, shouting in fury.
But this was a jail, and there were only a handful of guards. After witnessing what happened to their colleague, the guards were already fed up with the mayor and his cronies—there was no way they’d obey and try to arrest Ian. Besides, with their limited skills, how could they even hope to take down the minister?
With no one responding, Victor Liang grew even more furious and yelled at Gordon, "Gordon, I order you to arrest Landon Lu!"
"Mayor, you might as well just suspend me!" Gordon shrugged nonchalantly.
"You... you...!"
Gordon’s reply left Victor Liang so furious he could barely speak.
Just then—
A sudden barrage of heavy, synchronized footsteps rang out. Moments later, a squad of soldiers in Feilong-class powered armor burst in, quickly subduing the guards before storming into Ian’s cell and surrounding everyone inside.
"Guard Regiment!"
At the sight of those Feilong-class armored soldiers, Victor Liang instantly knew that Titus Lou’s Guard Regiment had arrived.
Titus Lou was the highest-ranking military commander in Aries District, and even the ordinary members of his Guard Regiment were Ninth-Level War Generals—the squad leaders were War King-level.
With a force like this, wiping out an entire division would be child’s play.
"Hahaha! Our reinforcements are here! Little Minister, you’re finished now!" Tom Sun crowed triumphantly.
Ian just smiled, unfazed.
A moment later, the sound of dress shoes echoed through the cell. Titus Lou strode in, flanked by two guards, his presence commanding and fierce. His gaze swept over the room; when he saw Tom Sun’s swollen face and the five red fingerprints on Jason Chen’s cheek, his expression darkened. He fixed Victor Liang with a sharp look. "What the hell happened here?"
"I’m sorry, Commander Lou—I failed to protect them," Victor Liang said, lowering his head.
"Hmph!"
Titus Lou gave a cold, dissatisfied grunt, then walked up to Jason Chen and said apologetically, "Young Master Tian, I’m sorry I was late—you’ve suffered because of me."
