Revealing the Truth, No One in Eastlyn Can Touch You

2/14/2026

This single kneel crushed all of Su Wan’s pride and dignity as a favored daughter of heaven, and completely severed her ties with the Su family. The feud between Serena Feng, the Su clan, and Night City will never be settled unless Serena dies or the Su clan and Night City are destroyed.

"Miss Su Wan, your feelings run deep—no wonder the Young City Lord is so devoted to you, willing to do anything for your sake. Serena will go prepare now, and will accompany the City Lord of Night City and Miss Su Wan to Tranquil Autumn Garden to treat the Young City Lord as soon as possible." Serena Feng tossed out these words and turned to leave, never once telling Su Wan to rise, letting her kneel where she was.

Su Wan tried to set her up, but Serena Feng was no pushover. Serena deliberately planted a seed of doubt in the City Lord of Night City’s mind, making him wonder just how much Reid Yale had done for Su Wan.

Once the City Lord of Night City learned everything Reid Yale had done for Su Wan, his guilt toward her would fade. After all, if not for Su Wan, Reid wouldn’t be at death’s door, and the City Lord wouldn’t have had to swallow his pride before her.

As for Su Wan’s schemes, they were bound to fail. Serena Feng was determined to cure Reid Yale, making sure he would owe her for life.

Ninth Royal Uncle watched Serena Feng leave, the smile in his eyes deepening.

Serena Feng really dared to do it—she truly wasn’t afraid of trouble!

Though her work had been delayed these past three days because of Ninth Royal Uncle’s love letter incident, Serena Feng never lost her composure. As soon as business came up, she showed the professionalism and poise befitting a true doctor.

She activated the Smart Med‑Pack, pulled out the necessary drugs and a clean doctor’s gown, checked everything, then grabbed her surgical kit and headed out. The whole process took less than the time it takes a stick of incense to burn.

When Serena Feng arrived in the main hall carrying her medical kit, Su Wan was already gone. It seemed she had no intention of showing her face for a while. Even her riding contest might be affected—after all, this kneel had dragged down the Su family’s reputation, and they were sure to abandon her now.

Family reputation and interests outweigh everything. Su Wan abandoned the Su clan for her own sake, and now they won’t support her anymore—even if she was once their beloved legitimate daughter.

Serena Feng didn’t ask about Su Wan’s whereabouts. After saluting Ninth Royal Uncle, she told Simon Sun, “Simon, come with me. The Young City Lord’s injury is a great learning opportunity.”

Serena Feng didn’t care at all about the City Lord of Night City’s dark expression—she openly treated Reid Yale as a teaching case.

"Miss Feng, may I join you?" Victor Yun stood up and asked politely.

"If I say no, would you really not come, Young Master Yun?" Victor Yun was smooth and polite, always behaving like a gentleman, but Serena Feng was deeply wary of him.

Victor Yun was so perfect he seemed to have no flaws. Sure, William was just as outstanding—every detail about him was impeccable—but William’s gentlemanly nature came from deep within, completely genuine.

But Victor Yun was nothing like the upright gentleman he pretended to be.

“If Miss Feng is unwilling, how could I possibly insist?” Not making things hard for women was also part of being a gentleman. Victor Yun’s performance was flawless; even his eyes were gentle and harmless, showing no displeasure at being refused. But Serena Feng could still sense that he was very unhappy.

Just as Serena Feng was about to agree, Ninth Royal Uncle gave her a look, signaling her to let Victor Yun come along.

Victor Yun’s timing was far too coincidental, and he was deliberately getting close to Serena Feng. No one believed he didn’t have an agenda.

Originally, Ninth Royal Uncle thought Victor Yun was here for his own illness, but seeing Victor’s behavior, he wasn’t so sure. Besides...

Victor Yun’s illness was no ordinary one—it was in his brain, and no one dared to treat it or let anyone try.

Ninth Royal Uncle’s exchange with Serena Feng went unnoticed by outsiders, so when Serena changed her mind and agreed to let Victor Yun join, everyone assumed she just wanted extra security—especially since she also invited Dominic Zhai to come along.

As for Ninth Royal Uncle, his status wasn’t suitable for a trip to Tranquil Autumn Garden—Reid Yale’s condition wasn’t enough to make him lower himself to visit.

Before leaving, Ninth Royal Uncle bluntly warned the City Lord of Night City: “Some things only draw more attention the harder you try to hide them. I advise you to be more open while you’re in Eastlyn—remember, I’m not a patient man.”

Though the words seemed aimed at the City Lord of Night City, they were really for Serena Feng. The City Lord just grunted in response, but Ninth Royal Uncle turned to Serena Feng and said, “Serena, if the sky falls, I’ll be here. Do whatever you need—no one in Eastlyn will dare touch you.”

That was an outrageously arrogant claim—after all, in Eastlyn, only the Emperor had real authority. But at that moment, no one dared to object; they just glanced away, pretending not to hear.

Serena Feng nodded solemnly. "Thank you, Ninth Royal Uncle. I understand."

Ninth Royal Uncle’s words were a reminder: when treating Reid Yale, Serena Feng didn’t need to be so guarded. Hiding too much only invited suspicion—better to work openly, so that any doubts would be out in the open.

Her medical skills couldn’t stay hidden forever. With Reid Yale’s illness and Ninth Royal Uncle’s backing, she could slowly show her abilities to the world.

The City Lord of Night City tried to play dirty and lost, but at least he’d managed to get Serena Feng to come. Reid Yale now had a fifty-fifty chance of survival—once he recovered, Serena’s value would vanish.

The City Lord of Night City didn’t believe Ninth Royal Uncle could always appear in time to save Serena Feng, and even less that all of Night City’s power couldn’t deal with one Serena Feng.

The Emperor of Eastlyn wanted an alliance with Night City? Fine... he didn’t want any benefit—just Serena Feng’s head. He was sure the Eastlyn Emperor would gladly agree.

On the way to Tranquil Autumn Garden, the City Lord of Night City schemed about how to take revenge on Serena Feng once Reid Yale recovered. As for Ninth Royal Uncle’s warning? If he cared, he wouldn’t be City Lord—he saw himself as equal to Eastlyn’s royal uncle and refused to take orders from him.

Meanwhile, Dominic Zhai and Serena Feng were also discussing Night City and Su Wan.

"Serena, you didn’t handle things all that well today—you acted too hastily. Forcing Su Wan to kneel now is like waving a sword at yourself; as soon as Reid Yale recovers, you’ll be in trouble. The City Lord of Night City definitely won’t let you off. You left, Su Wan fainted, and when her maids helped her up, her knees were covered in blood." Dominic Zhai wasn’t clueless—just not much of a schemer.

"Su Wan really went all in—her self-sacrifice was beautifully played. Weak girls, little white flowers, tears and injuries always win sympathy, and now I’m officially the villain." Serena Feng didn’t care at all, even joking about it.

Su Wan’s kneel had both pros and cons. The downside was exactly what Dominic Zhai described: she’d offended both the Su clan and Night City. But in Serena Feng’s eyes, the benefits outweighed the risks.

Su Wan’s kneel vented Serena’s anger, slapped both Su Wan’s and Reid Yale’s faces, and—most importantly—ended Su Wan’s family backing. From now on, Su Wan could only cling to Reid Yale for the rest of her life.

With Su Wan by Reid Yale’s side, the chance that Reid would team up with Prince Terrence of Lyndaria or Prince Damien of Southlyn against Ninth Royal Uncle was much smaller.

Prince Damien of Southlyn had sold Su Wan to the Lord of Gold City, earning her hatred, while at the Imperial Menagerie, Reid Yale dragged Prince Terrence of Lyndaria into trouble—the rift between the two only deepened.

With Su Wan present, it would be much easier for Ninth Royal Uncle to keep Reid Yale in check. As for the City Lord of Night City...

This world belongs to the young. The old will die sooner or later—Serena believed Ninth Royal Uncle would have a plan...
