She walked toward the cave beside the astronomical telescope.
There had been people inside before, but she had no idea how many.
Now, the cave was completely empty—not a single shadow in sight.
This wasn’t just any ordinary cave.
There was actually an elevator inside.
More precisely, there was an elevator that came up directly into this cave from below.
Maybe it ran straight from the base of the mountain all the way up.
Its height could probably qualify for a Guinness World Record.
There was an opening at the very edge of the cave.
That hand had reached out from this opening and caught Evan Lan’s potted plant.
Did Evan Lan end up falling into his enemy’s clutches after all?
He’s still the baby’s father, after all.
And he’s annoyingly handsome, too.
Such a shame...
Lily Bai shook her head, left the cave, and started walking down the mountain.
There were several dried pools of blood on the ground.
The largest pool belonged to Eric Lan.
Eric Lan... She actually really liked this little rabbit.
The blood that sprayed out most violently belonged to Xavier Xiao.
He... was just foolish.
Can you just wear the Dragon Scale whenever you feel like it?
Wearing the Dragon Scale while cultivating helps gather energy and speeds up your progress.
He was just a useless guy who’d never cultivated, so when he wore it and Evan Lan’s spirit power flared up in resistance, the Eternal Wishfish’s energy got sucked straight into him.
If he didn’t die, who would?
But honestly, the Eternal Wishfish is the most interesting one here.
Who was so mischievous as to seal it inside a painting?
Lily Bai looked up at the iron cage by the wall.
The cage was already bent out of shape—Sandy must have left by now.
Right, Sandy is pretty interesting too.
......
Lily Bai took a few steps, turned into a streak of black light, and vanished.
When she reappeared, she was at a hotel near the Heaven’s Gate Mountain scenic area.
Her baby was there.
Max Mo and Uncle Ernie nearly burst into tears when they saw her.
The baby reached out his tiny hands, shouting, “Mama!”
Lily Bai scooped him up, just about to kiss him, when suddenly her shoulder was grabbed. Sandy barked, “Put him down!”
Lily Bai turned to look at her.
She had one hand resting on Lily’s shoulder.
Her energy was overwhelming.
Any armed force on Earth would be a joke compared to her.
They locked eyes. Lily Bai raised an eyebrow at her. “Sandy, don’t you recognize me?”
“Yeah, Lisa!” Max Mo chimed in from the side. “Did you break again? That’s Lily!”
Sandy stared at Lily Bai, her hand still on Lily’s shoulder.
Lily Bai looked back, demonic energy swirling inside her.
Sandy finally let go and, almost in shock, said, “So you’re Nightspawn.”
“Little robot, what’s your story then? Care to share?”
“You already know everything about me.”
“You’re fully repaired,” Lily Bai observed. “But you’re keeping secrets, aren’t you?”
Sandy lowered her gaze.
“Why not tell me? What’s your mission here?”
Sandy: “I can’t tell you.”
Lily Bai: “Wow!”
“No matter what, I won’t hurt you,” Sandy said. “Let’s keep each other’s secrets.”
“Sure!” Lily Bai grinned. “So, how many days since I fell off that cliff?”
“Three days.”
“So... what happened that day?”
“They took the President’s and Eric Lan’s bodies away.”
“And Evan Lan? Is he...?”
“After you took it to the summit, I haven’t seen him since.”
“What about the people in that cave by the telescope? Didn’t you see anyone?”
“Nope, never saw anyone come out. Plus, that cave is shielded by energy—I couldn’t scan through it.”
