Radiant Dawn Palace
Evan Xiao stared at him with a blank expression.
"Alright then... Quarreling is such a childish thing, how could it possibly happen to His Highness? I think I’ll just go home and sleep..."
So Leon Zane left.
Evan Xiao sat on the bed for a while, then lay back down to continue sleeping.
He remembered the devastated look on Grace’s face when she thought Henry Tuoba had died, and the way she told him to get lost, saying she never wanted to see him again. Her words still echoed in his ears.
Why is she here?
Could it be she realized the one who died wasn’t Henry Tuoba, so she’s come to beg for forgiveness again?
Absolutely impossible.
......
Under the King's Spirit Tree.
Grace and Rona Yin spent the night in the hut, and by the next morning, Grandpa Gene finally showed up again.
Both their stomachs were rumbling, so they sheepishly asked him where they could get something to eat.
Grandpa Gene slapped his forehead, suddenly realizing, "Look at me, getting old really does make you forgetful! You two must be starving, huh?"
"It’s not so bad," Grace replied. "Yesterday we found quite a few Dragonbeard Ginseng roots in the field."
"Come on, I’ll figure something out for you…" Grandpa Gene led them to Golden Spire Palace and asked Steward Diao for some food.
But the food wasn’t the usual grains and veggies Grace and Rona Yin were used to—it was magical fruit.
The magical fruit was absolutely delicious. After eating, they felt warm and cozy all over, and not hungry at all.
Afterwards, Grandpa Gene took them to check out all the flowers and plants in the different palaces.
The palace gardens were all flourishing, every plant thriving.
Clearly, Grandpa Gene really knew his stuff when it came to gardening.
On the way, they bumped into plenty of dragon stewards, all greeting Grandpa Gene politely. Clearly, he was a big deal among the palace staff.
Grace whispered, "Grandpa Gene, are we going to the Crown Prince’s residence?"
"The Crown Prince’s place?" Grandpa Gene chuckled, "You want to go see His Highness?"
Grace smiled a little awkwardly.
"Alright, I’ll take you right now!" Grandpa Gene brought Grace and Rona Yin, flying them over to an eastern palace.
On the gate, it read: Radiant Dawn Palace.
As they landed, this palace looked even grander than the ones before—bustling on the outside, majestic on the inside, with groups of dragon stewards everywhere and an air of divine authority.
A young dragon steward came over to greet them, "Grandpa Gene, what brings you here today?"
"Just here to check out the new Celestial Hibiscus Orchids His Highness planted in the back garden," Grandpa Gene said.
"Oh! And these two are...?"
"My apprentices," Grandpa Gene replied.
"You’ve taken on apprentices?" The young dragon steward kept sneaking glances at Grace and Rona Yin. "Wow, you picked two real beauties! Are they flower spirits? What kind of flowers are they?"
"What flowers?" Grandpa Gene gave him a light smack on the head. "Look closely—these are two people!"
