His Majesty the Celestial Emperor

Later, Lucia Lu watched as the Phoenix Clan delegation arrived.

She'd hardly ever left the Spirit Alliance, and in all her years she'd never once visited the Phoenix Dominion.

So unless someone from the Phoenix Dominion had come to the Spirit Alliance for treatment, she didn't recognize them at all.

Out of that whole group, she only recognized two people.

One was Harvey Quinn, nephew of Divine Lord Tanya Quinn, and the other was Jenna Summers.

Jenna was born with a heart condition, and no amount of treatment ever helped.

Once, when she was on the brink of death, Luna Lian used an untested ancient formula to save her life.

Not only did she survive—she was completely cured.

Jenna Summers is hailed as the number-one beauty of the Phoenix Dominion.

Her skin was flawless as porcelain, her features exquisitely delicate. Standing among the divine maidens, she had a uniquely graceful charm that made her stand out.

"What are you looking at?" Suddenly, a voice sounded from behind them.

The two turned to look and saluted together. "Fourth Highness."

"No need for formalities," Henry Xiao said. "How are your lodgings? Are you satisfied? If not, just let me know and I'll help you change rooms."

"They're great..."

...

When Adrian Drake and Sean Shaw arrived, they saw Henry Xiao standing beside Lucia, chatting with her.

It looked like they were having a pretty friendly conversation.

"Since when did Fourth Highness get to know Senior Sister?" Adrian muttered in surprise.

Sean didn't say a word, but the air around him felt a little chilly.

"Come on! Let's go over!" Adrian wanted to go find his Senior Sister.

Sean Shaw grabbed Adrian Drake by the arm.

"What's up?" Adrian asked.

Sean didn't reply—he just looked at Adrian.

Adrian really was his best friend; just that look, and he instantly understood. "Ugh! Seriously! Fine, I'm going! Happy now?"

Adrian walked right over, wedged himself between Lucia and Henry Xiao, and greeted Henry with a big smile. "Fourth Highness, you're here too?"

Henry Xiao nodded, not looking too pleased.

"Will His Majesty the Celestial Emperor be coming in person, Fourth Highness?"

"You came with Sean Shaw, so why ask me?" Henry Xiao turned to look at Sean, noticing that he was now standing on Lucia's left.

Adrian had squeezed in between Henry and Lucia, which meant he was now on Lucia's right.

Henry frowned. "Could you move aside? I still have something to say to Lucia."

"Oh—he's here, he's here! Shh!" Adrian snapped to attention.

The drill ground instantly fell silent.

His Majesty the Celestial Emperor, surrounded by several Dragon Lords and Divine Generals, arrived riding clouds and mist, landing on the command platform in front of them.

It was Lucia's first time seeing the Celestial Emperor in person.

He was unexpectedly young and strikingly handsome.

He was also surprisingly warm and approachable.

Sweeping his gaze over the crowd, the Celestial Emperor grinned, "Quite a crowd! And everyone looks so lively—very nice!"

"Greetings, Your Majesty the Celestial Emperor!" everyone called out in unison.

"Mm, no need for all that ceremony," the Emperor waved a hand. "So, little friends, do you know why I set up this Divine Commanders’ Training Camp?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"Because, you know, all these High Gods holding important positions keep complaining to me that this generation of kids is impossible to manage! All they do is stir up trouble everywhere! Even after a thousand or two thousand years, they've never done anything serious!"

"So I told them, why don't you put a little more effort in and help your kids find something meaningful to do? Guess what your parents said?"

Everyone stared at the Celestial Emperor and shook their heads again.

"They said they're too busy! No time!" the Emperor said. "I was so moved! All these High Gods are so dedicated to the world, they're too busy to even look after their own kids. I was really, deeply moved!"
