Ryan Ling’s Craziest Move

1/5/2026

At this moment, although Ryan Ling could barely hold on, he had already reached the absolute limit of his resistance. Any more, and he’d be finished!

Clearly, he hadn’t expected War City to throw such a ridiculously strong opponent at him!

Right now, Ryan Ling was obviously no match for the other guy. Maybe if he went all out, he could take a hit or two, but in the end, he’d still lose—the opponent was just way too strong!

Plus, the guy had appeared out of nowhere and struck first. No matter how much skill Ryan Ling had, there was no way to block it!

“Nice, well done! General Barlow really is War City’s top badass!” The nearby soldiers immediately cheered, and the Heaven-Earth Sect goons started smirking too—clearly, they were all in it together!

If Ryan Ling was alone, he could definitely escape. But right now, he had Lily with him—there was no way he could run.

At that moment, the Heaven-Earth Sect thugs swaggered over, their eyes glued to Lily. “Alright, looks like you’re not gonna make it. Since you’ve got a woman with you, just hand her over. I’ll take good care of her for you!”

“Get lost, get away from me!” Lily shouted, but with her strength, there was no way she could stop them. In the blink of an eye, she was already being dragged off.

Ryan Ling gritted his teeth—Lily was his person. Even if he died here in War City today, he would never let anything happen to her. Suddenly, he roared and went berserk, his raging power actually breaking free from the Primordial Immortal’s restraints!

“Kid, you just keep surprising me! How did you, a mere Da Luo Golden Immortal, manage to train your power up this high? I’m honestly shocked!” The peak Primordial Immortal stared at Ryan Ling in disbelief.

But he didn’t hesitate—since his first strike hadn’t taken Ryan Ling down, he immediately unleashed a second one. This time, it was deadly, the force cranked up to the absolute max. If Ryan got hit by this, he’d be toast for sure; his hard-earned Da Luo Golden Immortal qi would be shattered, and all his cultivation would blow apart in an instant.

Ryan Ling was a nervous wreck inside—he couldn’t believe he’d survived this far.

At this moment, he even closed his eyes, clearly knowing there was no way to block this power. Even if he gave it everything, he still couldn’t stop it.

But right at the critical moment, a new power suddenly blasted out from the city—a force so strong it had reached the absolute peak of Primordial Immortal, way beyond General Barlow. Under this pressure, Barlow couldn’t breathe, let alone fight back. In a flash, he was forced straight to his knees.

What really weirded Ryan out was that this crazy powerful force didn’t threaten him at all. In fact, it almost felt like it was secretly helping him.

“W-War God?” General Barlow shouted, voice shaking. Clearly, he couldn’t believe this top-tier expert had actually shown up!

“Spare everyone. Get out of my sight—now!” The voice boomed out, echoing through all of War City.

Ryan Ling froze. That voice was way too familiar—it had to be the Immortal World big shot, no doubt about it. Clearly, he was right here in War Province, finally stepping in at the perfect moment!

Back when Ryan was in the Demonic World, this Immortal big shot was already at peak Primordial Immortal, just a step away from Ancestor level. Now, his strength was even scarier.

With that order, nobody dared stick around—everyone bolted at once!

Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate—he grabbed Lily and sprinted toward the source of that voice. That had to be the one place he’d be safe, and right now, it was the only shot he had!

In a flash, he dashed over. Where the voice came from, a massive temple appeared—definitely one of the grandest in all War City. The whole place radiated martial energy, making people feel awed just standing near it.

Right now, the temple doors were wide open, almost like it was welcoming Ryan in!

“Senior!” Ryan called out, now sure that his helper was the Immortal World patron who’d always backed him. With him around, Ryan didn’t need to panic.

“No need for words—come inside!” The Immortal World big shot spoke up, his voice deep and thunderous, radiating pure strength. Even though Ryan was now a Da Luo Golden Immortal, compared to this guy, he still felt like a kid—his power was nowhere close!

Sure, as a Da Luo Golden Immortal, Ryan was basically invincible at his level, even able to take on Primordial Immortals. But there’s always someone stronger—the peak Primordial experts were way out of his league, and this Immortal World patron was already half a step into Ancestor Realm!

Ryan had seen firsthand in the Demonic World just how terrifying Ancestor-level power could be. The influence of that Demonic World Ancestor still haunted him!

Right now, Ryan didn’t hesitate at all—coming here felt just like coming home. He was totally at ease, no stress whatsoever. The last time he’d felt this was at Lovers’ Gorge, when he met his severed right hand. Now, that same feeling was back, and deep down, Ryan sensed a mysterious connection with this Immortal World patron—almost like the bond he had with Lily.

As soon as he stepped into the temple, a gigantic Golden Immortal Conch appeared before him. Inside, he saw friends from the Demonic World, the Immortal Domain, and even the still-spinning Earth—all right there in front of him!

None of these friends and relatives had been hurt at all—in fact, every single one of them had leveled up like crazy!

Pretty much everyone had reached immortal rank. Even his old buddies—Jason Lin, Warren Yuan, Harvey ‘Million’ Jin—had all become top-tier Profound Immortals, about to break through to Golden Immortal any minute!

Ryan Ling was honestly floored. He himself had only just broken into Da Luo Golden Immortal!

“Ryan, you finally made it! I’ve been waiting for you—this is awesome!” Just then, a voice descended from above, right in Ryan’s ear. He’d never felt so close to anyone before.

“Senior!” Ryan called, as the man appeared before him—early thirties, tall and imposing, totally looked like a battle-hardened general.

“Don’t call me ‘Senior’—just call me Marcus Wu!” the Immortal World big shot said with a laugh.

“Marcus Wu?” Ryan was still processing, but Lily suddenly cried out—she actually knew Marcus!

Marcus Wu grinned at Lily. “That’s right, it’s me. Bet you didn’t expect this, huh, kiddo? We finally meet again!”

“You two know each other?” Ryan blinked, but he was already piecing it together—Marcus seemed connected to his past life, just like Lily.

“Not just know her—I even taught her a few moves!” Marcus Wu laughed.

Lily smiled through tears, clearly overwhelmed to run into someone she knew here in War Province!

“Now we’re set! With Third-Brother San here, what’s there to be afraid of?” Lily exclaimed. It was obvious Marcus meant a lot to her—and his strength was off the charts!

Ryan was stunned too—Marcus Wu’s power really was insane, definitely a master among masters!

“It’s not easy for us to gather like this, but I can only help Ryan through this crisis. After that, you’ll have to act yourself! Honestly, I was the weakest of your old crew. If you could summon the Twelve Golden War Gods right now, we could march straight to Heaven City!” Marcus said.

“Twelve Golden War Gods?” Ryan blinked—the name felt so familiar!
