Lynn's Master said, "She's my disciple, I've taught her everything I know. How could I let her stay by your side? If she's really with Evan Yang, I can help you track them down."
"That's wonderful! I'll inform the Patriarch right away—just wait here!" Prince Adrian Wood said excitedly, then hurried toward the Wood Immortal Hall.
Inside the Wood Immortal Hall, the anxious Patriarch and elder saw Prince Adrian Wood rush in from outside. He said, "Patriarch, we've found them."
"Found them? Found what?" the Patriarch asked suspiciously.
"That woman's master has a way to find her disciple," Prince Adrian Wood explained.
"Oh? Really? Quick, bring her here!" the Patriarch said excitedly.
"Alright," Prince Adrian Wood replied, preparing to call Lynn's Master. But the Patriarch felt it was better to go personally, so he said, "We'll go with you."
The three of them went to find Lynn's Master.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang and his companions were inside the Mooncrest Dynasty. The city here was as large as Wood Imperial City.
"We're safe here now," Lynn Lin said with a smile.
"Not necessarily. If they come after us, it won't be safe," Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Don't worry. Unless the dynasties are allied, anyone found here will be hunted down," Lynn Lin said with a smile.
"What about her?" Evan Yang glanced at Melody Wood, knowing she was from the Wood Estate.
"It's fine—her face is covered, so no one will recognize her. As for the Wood clan, if they dare attack us, we just need to shout for help on the street and plenty of people will come to our aid," Lynn Lin explained.
"That's great," Evan Yang said with a smile after hearing the explanation.
"Now that you're safe, I plan to leave," Melody Wood said suddenly.
"Now? So soon? Where are you going?" Evan Yang asked, puzzled.
"I want to visit my master. I'll be safer there," Melody Wood replied.
"You have a master?" Evan Yang asked, surprised.
"Yes, I've had a master who cared for me since childhood. Now that I've left the Wood Estate, that's the only place I can go," Melody Wood explained.
"I think we should escort you there," Evan Yang said, frowning.
"That's not necessary. My master is rather eccentric and doesn't like me to be with strangers. If she saw you, she'd get angry," Melody Wood said.
Evan Yang was worried Melody Wood might run into members of the Wood clan on the way, so he insisted, "It's fine. We'll escort you to your master's place and leave before she sees us."
Melody Wood hesitated, unsure what to do. Lynn Lin, bored, said, "Exactly, we'll go with you."
"Alright then," Melody Wood agreed.
"Which dynasty is your master in?" Lynn Lin asked.
"She's on a snowy peak in the northern part of the Mooncrest Dynasty," Melody Wood replied.
"Snowy peak? Who is the Snow-Peak Demon Elder?" Lynn Lin asked, raising her eyebrows at the location.
"He's my martial uncle," Melody Wood answered.
"I see," Lynn Lin said, surprised.
"Let's not waste time—let's get moving," Evan Yang said.
Melody Wood nodded, then led Evan Yang and Lynn Lin toward the mountain. Even for Melody, it took some time to reach the peak, and the three traveled for quite a while before arriving.
Meanwhile, in the Wood Estate, the Patriarch was asking Lynn's Master about their whereabouts.
"I checked earlier—they're at the border of the Mooncrest Dynasty. I don't know where they are now, so I'll try again," Lynn's Master said.
"Alright, go ahead," the Patriarch said. The group waited, eager to see how Lynn's Master would locate Lynn Lin.
Lynn's Master took out a map-like sheet of paper and a black sphere. After muttering for a while, she let the sphere drop onto the map.
Lynn's Master pointed at the map and said, "She seems to be heading this direction."
"What place is that?" Prince Adrian Wood asked, curious. When the Patriarch saw the direction Lynn's Master pointed to, he understood, "She must be going to her master's place."
"Ah, she's going to that old demon woman's place!" Prince Adrian Wood exclaimed.
"No matter what, let's hurry—we might catch up before they arrive," the Patriarch said.
So the Patriarch had an elder gather some people, and they all headed toward the Northern Snow Peak.
Evan Yang, Melody Wood, and the others soon arrived at the base of the Northern Snow Peak. Snowy mountains stretched as far as the eye could see—ordinary people would get lost here and never find their way out.
"I've arrived. You can head back now," Melody Wood said.
"Take care of yourself," Evan Yang said, a little reluctant.
"Alright," Melody Wood nodded.
Evan Yang and Lynn Lin watched as Melody Wood disappeared into the snowy mountains.
"Hey, let's go. What are you staring at?" Lynn Lin said.
"Don't you think these snowy mountains are beautiful?" Evan Yang said, smiling.
"They really are beautiful, but we can't stay here," Lynn Lin said.
"Not necessarily. The host is already inviting us," Evan Yang said with a mysterious smile.
"The host is inviting us? What are you talking about?" Lynn Lin asked suspiciously.
"Come on, follow me—there's something to discover," Evan Yang said, smiling as he led Lynn Lin. Lynn Lin didn't understand what Evan was thinking.
The two walked across the snow, but Evan Yang didn't walk in a straight line; he zigzagged left and right. Lynn Lin, curious, said, "Hey, you're not just playing in the snow, are you?"
"You'll see soon enough. If you don't follow me, you'll be responsible for the consequences," Evan Yang said, smiling.
Lynn Lin thought Evan Yang was joking, so she didn't follow his steps and stepped to the left. Suddenly, everything went dark, and fierce snow winds tried to sweep her away. The cold was so intense she couldn't move.
At that moment, a pair of hands reached out and pulled her back. Seeing her shivering, Evan Yang said, "How was that? Comfortable, right?"
"You knew all along?" Lynn Lin said, shivering and scolding Evan Yang.
"I told you—if you didn't follow me, you'd be responsible for the consequences. This is what happens when you don't listen," Evan Yang said.
Lynn Lin, still shivering, looked at Evan Yang and asked, "How did you know? Did Melody Wood tell you?"
"No," Evan Yang said, smiling, and kept walking.
Seeing Evan Yang wouldn't answer, Lynn Lin scolded, "Hurry up and tell me!"
"It's a secret—just follow me," Evan Yang said, smiling as he continued walking in his irregular steps. They arrived atop a snowy mountain, and after crossing a crack, a whole new scene appeared before them.
There was a hot spring, a pavilion beside it, and the scent of tea wafted from the pavilion.
An old man sat before the tea, smiling at Evan Yang and Lynn Lin. "Welcome," he said.
Lynn Lin noticed there were exactly three cups—two for them, one for the elder. Did he already know they were coming?
Evan Yang smiled, walked over, and picked up the tea. "Thank you for the tea, Senior," he said.
Lynn Lin didn't want to drink, but Evan Yang whispered, "If you want to feel less cold here, just drink the tea."
Confused, Lynn Lin drank the tea and instantly felt a warm current—her cold vanished, replaced by comfort. She couldn't help but say, "So comfortable!"
Evan Yang smiled and said, "Thank you," then set down his teacup.
The elder smiled at Evan Yang. "Young man, how did you figure it out?" he asked.
"Because I know formation painting," Evan Yang said, smiling.
The elder was surprised, then smiled. "I didn't expect it. I thought this skill was lost and couldn't exist in reality, but you, a young man, show it so well."
"Thank you for the compliment, Senior. Actually, you noticed us early and prepared tea for our arrival. But I'm curious—how did you know we'd make it up here?" Evan Yang asked.
"Want to know?" the elder asked with a smile.
"Yes, please tell me, Senior," Evan Yang said.
"Because you carry a familiar aura," the elder said, smiling at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang was surprised. He'd already scrambled his aura—it shouldn't be recognizable, especially in another world. He looked at the elder, puzzled. "That's impossible," he said.
"Why not? You know the Phantom Step Art, don't you?" the elder asked, smiling.
Evan Yang raised his eyebrows—he really did know the Phantom Step Art, learned long ago from an Immortal inheritance left in the Shadowhand Guild. But how did the elder know?
Seeing Evan Yang's expression, the Snow-Peak Demon Elder smiled, "Don't look at me like that. The Phantom Step Art you learned is only the basic section. Why do I sense a familiar aura? Because I know this technique well," he said.
"Basic section? There's a higher section?" Evan Yang asked, surprised.
"Strictly speaking, there's an Advancement Section—that's the essence. But you need Immortal Sovereign strength. Do you have it yet?" the Snow-Peak Demon Elder asked, smiling at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang looked at the Snow-Peak Demon Elder, then at Lynn Lin, who was confused by their conversation. Finally, he nodded, "That's right, but an accident forced me to seal my strength."
Lynn Lin was shocked by Evan Yang's words—did he really reach Immortal Sovereign? Was all this so unreal? The Snow-Peak Demon Elder wasn't surprised; he just smiled, "Let me check."
Evan Yang curiously extended his hand. After checking, the Snow-Peak Demon Elder smiled, "Genius! Your body is structured so uniquely. And the Heaven-Cold Seed in you is gradually taking effect."
"So Senior knows everything," Evan Yang said, feeling that even if the Snow-Peak Demon Elder wasn't extremely powerful, he was at least god-level.
"Meeting someone as interesting as you is fate. So, no charge today—go soak in the hot spring; it might help with your poison," the Snow-Peak Demon Elder said, smiling at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang was overjoyed—could the poison he'd need years to remove be cured now? He looked gratefully at the hot spring. "Thank you," he said.
