Abdominal Injury
"General Sean, then it's settled!" A soldier bowed respectfully to Sean Hayes, who grinned and replied, "Settled! All right, I'm heading home to spend time with my wife."
Sean Hayes whistled as he walked toward his courtyard. He'd wrapped up his work early today, hoping to spend more time with Mrs. Penny. But as soon as he stepped into the yard, he saw Mrs. Penny collapsed outside the door, unconscious, with a long trail of blood beneath her.
Sean's soul nearly flew out of his body. He rushed forward, scooping Mrs. Penny into his arms. She was still unconscious, her face pale as paper, and blood continued to flow from beneath her skirt.
"Penny! Darling!" Sean was frantic, clutching Mrs. Penny and running straight to the Lin Family of Healers’ courtyard.
"Darling, you must be all right. If anything happens to you, I can't go on!" Sean ran, glancing at Mrs. Penny in his arms, her face growing even paler, with no response at all.
Sean felt as if his insides were burning, his feet flying. Even when he'd been running for his life after failed missions, he'd never run this fast before.
Now, carrying Mrs. Penny, Sean broke all limits, running as if he were flying.
The Lin Family of Healers’ courtyard was bustling with activity. Simon Yu and Martin Wu were treating patients when Sean burst in, clutching Mrs. Penny, his face twisted in panic.
"Simon! Martin! Help! Penny’s bleeding—she’s unconscious!" Sean’s voice cracked as he shouted, nearly collapsing from fright.
Simon Yu rushed over, quickly checking Mrs. Penny’s pulse and face. "Put her down—Martin, get the medical kit!"
Martin Wu dashed out, grabbing the kit and returning in seconds. Simon Yu tore open Mrs. Penny’s sleeve, revealing a deep gash on her arm.
"Sean, what happened?" Simon Yu asked urgently.
Sean’s lips trembled. "I don’t know! I just came home and found her collapsed by the door, bleeding!"
Simon Yu’s face grew serious. "Martin, disinfect the wound. Sean, hold her steady. She’s lost a lot of blood, but we’ll do everything we can."
Martin Wu opened the kit, pulled out gauze and alcohol, and pressed it to Mrs. Penny’s wound. Mrs. Penny twitched, but remained unconscious.
Sean Hayes held her tightly, his eyes red with worry. "Penny, please, wake up!"
Simon Yu worked quickly, cleaning the wound and checking Mrs. Penny’s vital signs. "She’s lost a lot of blood, but the pulse is still there. Martin, get the Lin Family Healing Balm!"
Martin Wu rushed to the shelf, grabbed the Lin Family Healing Balm, and handed it to Simon Yu, who applied it to Mrs. Penny’s wound.
As the balm soaked in, Mrs. Penny’s breathing steadied. Simon Yu sighed in relief. "She should be fine, but she’ll need to rest. Sean, stay with her tonight."
Sean Hayes nodded, tears streaming down his face as he clung to Mrs. Penny’s hand.
