Do You Know Who She Is
Someone reported to the authorities, claiming that Lucky Star was secretly hoarding a large amount of suspicious Mythril Ore.
The informant was a thief.
He said he was digging a tunnel into Lucky Star to steal something, but ended up discovering a basement filled with Mythril Ore.
Grace was at the Spirit Alliance when she got the news, so she rushed over on her flying beast.
Rina Chu went with her.
By the time she arrived, Lucky Star was already surrounded by government soldiers.
Mr. Wayne and the others were kept outside—not allowed to enter or leave.
Grace squeezed through the crowd and asked, "Mr. Wayne, what's going on?"
"No idea!" Mr. Wayne looked utterly confused. "A hole suddenly appeared under the stairs in the inner room, and there was even a ladder set up inside!
Once you go down, it's actually a huge underground warehouse, packed with Mythril Ore.
But our Lucky Star basement—there's absolutely no such underground warehouse! It's like something out of a ghost story!"
Grace frowned.
She and Evan Xiao had personally chosen this shop location.
Back then, there wasn't even a cellar, let alone a gigantic underground warehouse!
"Miss Grace, what should we do?" Mr. Wayne was so worried his hair was turning white. "If they pin this crime on us, we're all doomed!"
Just then, Morgan Jay squeezed through the crowd and said, "Bad news! Bigwigs are here!"
"What bigwigs?" Grace asked.
"The General, the Prime Minister, and the Grand Chamberlain all came together!" Morgan Jay said. "I overheard people saying this case went straight to the Royal Clan Office—they sent these guys to investigate!"
Grace looked at the besieged Lucky Star, her brow furrowed even tighter.
Even the Royal Clan Office was alarmed by this.
The Royal Clan Office is made up of elders of the royal family—people even Emperor Henry Tuoba can't influence.
If they decide I'm guilty, even if I had ten mouths, I couldn't talk my way out of it.
Plus, since the Royal Clan Office is involved, not even Emperor Henry could clear her name.
Grace glanced at the entrance—it was already sealed off by the Yan City Magistrate's Office. No one was allowed in.
But she had to get inside and see for herself before she could figure out what to do.
She waved to Rina Chu and whispered a few words in her ear.
Rina Chu nodded, and the two of them walked over together.
"Excuse me, I'm the owner of Lucky Star. I need to go inside and take a look—is that okay?" Grace asked the guard at the door.
"No way! The magistrate has ordered that no one is allowed in," the guard replied with a blank face.
"Smack!" Rina Chu slapped the guard across the face, sneering, "Magistrate? Who cares? Do you even know who she is?"
The guard was stunned by the slap, seeing stars as he stammered, "She... who is she?"
"She's the President of the Spirit Alliance! Her father is Marquis Lawrence, her husband is the General—do you dare block her way?"
"But, but..."
"Move it!" Rina Chu shoved the two guards aside like a boss, then respectfully invited Grace inside.
Grace held her head high and strode in with all the dignity of a queen.
If you don't act tough, you can't get in.
Of course, those two guards weren't about to let it slide—they rushed off to find their captain.
The captain, Captain Walker, was waiting nearby for the arrival of the three officials.
After hearing what the guards said, he rushed in, blocked Grace's path, and snapped, "Hey, this place is sealed by the authorities—can't you see? Who let you barge in here?"
Rina Chu reached out and slapped the captain, too. "Who are you calling 'hey'? Who do you think you're talking to?"
"Why are you hitting people?" Captain Walker clutched his face, thinking her slap packed quite a punch.
