A Silence So Deep You Could Hear a Pin Drop

Lily Liang stepped forward and snapped, "We're from the Ancient Martial Rowe clan—get out of our way!"

Ethan Lu held out his hand, clearly demanding the room card. "How about a match?"

"You're going way too far!"

Lily Liang saw this and immediately got anxious.

Her expression changed sharply. She raised her hand, ready to slap Ethan Lu. "You... you're just a kept pretty boy!"

But Ethan Lu firmly grabbed her wrist. "I can't believe you latched onto a woman from the Ancient Martial Rowe clan!"

"You still want to hit me?"

Birds of a feather flock together. Evan Lin looked down at Ethan Lu, reached out and patted his face: "But you don't even have the face to be a kept pretty boy. Isn't that infuriating?"

A guy who rides others' coattails only finds airheaded girlfriends!

Ethan Lu had just finished speaking.

Evan Lin lashed out with a kick, slamming it right into Ethan Lu's gut.

One moment Ethan Lu was standing in front of Lily Liang, the next he was sent flying. Evan Lin smiled: "You're all garbage anyway."

Bang!

Ethan Lu's body was blasted deep into the wall by Evan Lin's kick. The pain was so intense his eyes bulged, and he couldn't even make a sound.

"Young Master Lu!"

"You actually dare to hit someone!" Being a kept pretty boy might not be such a bad choice after all.

A few Lu Family people who had been watching the drama suddenly snapped to attention. "Are you blind?"

Seeing things go sideways, they started shouting at Evan Lin.

They all rushed forward, ready to swarm him. Lily Liang shouted, pulled out a wooden plaque engraved with the Rowe character—its yellowish color made it look ancient.

Ethan Lu tried to catch his breath and get up, but the intense pain made him nearly pass out several times. She was terrified they'd attract the attention of a Heavenly Phenomenon Realm powerhouse.

"Grab him! Get him!"

Ethan Lu's voice trembled as he shouted, his eyes full of rage.

All around, in the lobby, plenty of people saw this scene.

Some watched, others started calling for backup.

Most of the staff and security in the lobby knew Ethan Lu.

In no time, more and more people gathered.

Everyone started crowding over to this side.

"Young Master Lu! Who would dare lay a hand on you!"

"I bet these two aren't good people. Let's all grab them together!"

"Maybe they're here just to stir up trouble!"

A bunch of people were yelling there.

But no one worried that Evan Lin and Lily Liang might be from an Ancient Martial Clan.

After all...

First, people from Ancient Martial Clans are all proud as hell—they'd never bother fighting with this crowd.

Second, Ancient Martial Clan folks are always surrounded by attendants from the Ren, Hong, or even Lu Families.

Ren, Hong, and Lu—the three families are all vassals of the Qin Martial Clan.

They're nothing like the real Ancient Martial Clans.

All these families are just hoping for more favor from the Ancient Martial Clans.

If an Ancient Martial Clan casually sent them one or two experts, their family's power would skyrocket!

That's all it would take to boost their status!

Ethan Lu was an important figure in the Lu Family.

Before coming here, he'd memorized the faces of countless Ancient Martial Clan members.

So, others might make mistakes, but Ethan Lu absolutely wouldn't!

That's why, if Ethan Lu scolded someone in public, it definitely wasn't someone he'd remembered—a member of an Ancient Martial Clan.

Thinking it through, the logic made sense.

Suddenly, everyone understood.

A group of people stood there, eyeing them like tigers, but no one made the first move.

They only circled around.

After all, Evan Lin's kick just now was intimidating enough.

Ethan Lu was a warning to them.

No one wanted to step up and risk taking that kick.

Otherwise, they'd gain nothing and lose face.

Still, no one intended to back down.

They were determined to be the second to strike.

As soon as someone made the first move, everyone else would charge in.

"Early Internal Force, Mid Internal Force, Late Internal Force."

"You're a Fifth-grade Vajra. That short guy doesn't look like much, but he's reached Pseudo Vajra level—still decent."

Evan Lin's gaze swept over the faces of those blocking his way.

He spoke calmly, amused by the crowd before him.

"Even with my Internal Force level, I can still handle you!"
