Rona Muir and Sean Kerr

Cecilia Gu nodded. "True. The Kerr Family isn't short on money! Let him play as he likes."

Rona Muir's eyes flickered, but she didn’t say anything more.

After saying goodbye to Cecilia Gu, Rona Muir drove home.

As she was walking down the road, a silver-gray Ferrari sports car stopped Rona Muir.

The window rolled down, revealing Sean Kerr’s face. "Want to grab a drink?"

Rona Muir sighed softly. "Fine, you lead the way."

Because Rona Muir was pregnant, she couldn’t drink coffee like she used to.

Sean Kerr ordered Rona Muir a milk tea, while he stuck with his usual coffee.

They sat down together, but neither spoke for a long time.

"I’m back." Sean Kerr said dryly.

Rona Muir sighed. "Why do this to yourself? You don’t have to make things so hard."

Sean Kerr just gave a bitter smile. "I thought I could let go, but it turns out I really can’t."

Rona Muir smiled bitterly too. "But I’m already married and pregnant. We can’t go back to the past."

"Yeah. There’s no going back." Sean Kerr’s mood sank, a flash of regret and restraint crossing his handsome face.

"Rona, do you remember the first time we met?" Sean Kerr suddenly changed the subject.

"No, I don’t." Rona Muir bit her lip, choosing to lie.

"Really? But I remember it so clearly..." Sean Kerr sighed. "Forget it, let’s not talk about the past. This time, in the cosmetics competition, we’re rivals. I won’t go easy on you."

"We’ll give it our all too." Rona Muir smiled proudly. "Danni Cosmetics may have started late, but that doesn’t mean we’re pushovers!"

Sean Kerr smiled lightly. "Good, I’m looking forward to our showdown—king versus king."

During this meeting, neither of them really said much. Most of it was just silence.

She didn't know whether it was because she was unsure what to say, or because she knew exactly what to say but couldn't bring herself to say it.

Rona Muir returned home, told the servants they could rest, and lay down alone on the rocking chair, gently swaying.

This villa was bought by Mr. Hirayama as a wedding house for Jiro Hirayama and Rona Muir.

It's not far from Cecilia Gu's villa, but after her marriage, Cecilia moved into the Yin Family estate.

As the lady of the Yin Family, she couldn't keep living outside.

So, when Rona Muir moved in, Cecilia Gu's villa ended up unused.

This place is perfect for resting during pregnancy.

At this moment, Jiro Hirayama hadn't come back yet.

Rona Muir lay alone on the rocking chair, eyes closed, pretending to nap, but her mind kept replaying what Sean Kerr said: "Do you still remember the first time we met?"

She said she didn't remember.

That was a lie.

How could she possibly forget?

She probably wouldn't forget it for the rest of her life.

Because the memory of their first meeting was just... unforgettable.

Rona Muir's thoughts instantly drifted into her memories.

It must have been more than ten years ago, right?

Back then, she'd just finished her college entrance exams...

The teenage Rona Muir, wearing her high school uniform and carrying her backpack, came home.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home!" Rona shouted as soon as she opened the door. "I got my scores—my teacher said getting into a top university won't be a problem. Huh? Do we have guests?"

Rona peeked inside and saw a handsome man, dressed elegantly and smiling at her with a graceful air.
