The Angry Ryan Wu

2/14/2026

Ryan Wu stood in front of Hank Chu, aggressive and overbearing.

He was about the same height as Hank Chu, but having never done any manual labor, he looked even paler and softer than Hank.

"Yeah, Hank Chu, you should just give up already. Young Master Wu’s family owns a listed company—what can you possibly compare to that?" someone nearby chimed in, clearly siding with Ryan Wu and giving Hank a hostile look.

"Julie Chu is so pretty, and you selfishly want her to suffer with you? That’s just messed up. If you know what’s good for you, leave now and stop interfering with Young Master Wu’s birthday celebration for Julie!" another person added quickly.

Everyone was rooting for Ryan Wu, hoping Julie Chu would choose him and kick Hank Chu out of the picture.

After all, Ryan Wu’s family had connections, and since they were all classmates, it was guaranteed they could look out for each other in the future.

Sucking up to Ryan Wu was clearly the smartest move right now.

"Move aside."

Julie Chu reached out, trying to push Ryan Wu out of her way.

But she was too weak, and couldn’t budge him at all.

Yeah, and Julie Chu isn't stupid. There's no way she'd pick you. Wake up—if you want to dream, go back to your dorm!

The others kept talking nonstop.

Hank Chu glanced at Julie Chu standing behind Ryan Wu.

I accept.

Before Hank Chu could speak, Julie Chu was the first to reply.

What did you agree to? Julie! What nonsense are you saying?

Julie's roommate was stunned, hurried forward to try to stop her.

They were afraid Julie would say the wrong thing and upset Ryan Wu, who might hold a grudge against all of them—making things worse for everyone.

Are you here to confess to me today?

Julie Chu looked at Hank Chu and asked.

'Yes.' Hank Chu was stunned for a moment, but quickly recovered and nodded. 'I was still hesitating on the way here, but now I’ve made up my mind.'

Although I’m pretty poor right now and can’t give you a good life yet, I’ll keep working hard. One day, I’ll give you happiness!

Hank Chu spoke every word with resolve, full of determination.

Alright, I accept.

Julie Chu was straightforward.

She had always liked Hank Chu, but confessions are usually made by the guy.

So all this time, Julie Chu had been waiting for Hank Chu to confess.

Unfortunately, this day came a bit late.

Lately, Ryan Wu’s relentless pursuit had troubled Julie Chu, but seeing Hank Chu muster the courage to come forward, along with all he’d done for her, moved her deeply.

Whether a girl accepts someone isn’t just about money—it matters, but maybe not as much as people think.

Happiness isn’t something money can always buy.

Julie Chu! Do you know what you’re saying?

Listening to Julie Chu and Hank Chu talk as if no one else were there.

Stuck between them, Ryan Wu’s face twitched, his anger boiling over as he clenched his fists and glared fiercely at Julie Chu: "I told you, today’s your birthday! I booked the best hotel for your celebration!"

And I’m going to confess to you and give you a car!

He shouted, "You can’t accept this guy! He can’t possibly make you happy, and what’s so good about him anyway? He’s just a broke loser!"

Ryan Wu’s voice rose, nearly screaming his last words.

He couldn’t accept reality and couldn’t understand why Julie Chu would choose a guy like this.

Ryan Wu, I appreciate your feelings for me, but liking someone doesn’t have much to do with money.

Julie Chu shook her head, her face earnest: "Can you please stop coming to find me? I really don’t like you."

Her words were sharp, like a knife.

Julie Chu!

Is she crazy? Julie Chu actually chose this broke loser instead of Young Master Wu?

The crowd was in an uproar, all eyes filled with surprise.

Do you know what all this means?

Ryan Wu clenched his fists, feeling like he’d lost all face today.

She didn’t pick you, man. If you know what’s good for you, just get lost and stop talking.

Hank Chu and Julie Chu said nothing, but everyone heard a cold, indifferent teenage voice.

They followed the sound and saw Evan Lin standing there.

It seemed no one had paid attention to Evan Lin and Will Han until now.

Most people’s attention was fixed on Hank Chu and Julie Chu.

Seeing a stranger speak up, Ryan Wu glared fiercely at Evan Lin: "You’re Hank Chu’s friend, right? What, Hank Chu didn’t dare come alone, so he brought backup?"

If that’s the case, don’t blame me for being rude. I’ll call security right now and have all of you thrown out!

Ryan Wu roared.

Just then, Gary He and Lily Yan arrived, heard Ryan Wu’s voice, and spotted Evan Lin, immediately shouting excitedly.

Ryan Wu, it was this guy who hit me earlier!

I was just passing your message along, but this guy said you’re nothing—he doesn’t even care about NewAir Airlines! He’s way too arrogant!

After Gary He said that, Lily Yan exaggerated things even more.

Evan Lin is so arrogant! He’s disrespectful to Young Master Wu and even hit Gary He!
