The Two-Month Deadline and the Ultimate Creation

"Attention all teams, Level 4 Kaiju designated AEB-6 is advancing along the predicted route. This monster weighs 5,700 tons—the largest Level 4 Kaiju we've seen so far. It's a power type, with a special ability called 'Berserk Charge,' which is highly destructive against metal armor. Your mechas have been reinforced for collision resistance, but still, try to avoid taking a direct hit. The mission is to capture it alive—this won't be easy, but I believe you can pull it off."

To speed up the counterattack plan, the scientists found a way to quickly get intel from inside the wormhole. A guy named Newton (yeah, the biologist from the original plot) came up with an idea: use neural links to connect a human brain to a Kaiju brain.

The moment this method was proposed, it caused an uproar—but it actually worked. In early tests, they did manage to get some info, but all they used was a slice of an old Kaiju brain. Not only was it incomplete, the info itself was outdated and basically useless. To get real-time, complete intel, the command center decided on a plan: capture a Level 4 Kaiju alive. (The ones killed before were all refined by the Dragon Elephant Extraction method, so their bodies couldn't be preserved.)

Leading the charge is Fist King, backed up by other 6th Generation Mecha Hunters like Howler. They’re all deployed across this sea area. To prevent the Level 4 Kaiju from running off if things go south, the mechas are spread out but can support each other at any time. As long as one mecha gets it tangled up, the rest can rush in and do a rugby-style pile-on—problem solved.

Kost shouted on the command channel: "Everyone, stay sharp—especially Wolverine Mecha. You're the rookie on the battlefield, don’t let me down."

Wolverine Mecha is piloted by King Kong and Blue Wolf. Funny enough, their names mashed together make 'Wolverine.' The mecha even has a pair of steel claws, just like the comic book character—pretty intimidating. But it’s never actually fought a Kaiju head-on before, so who knows how it'll do in real combat.

"Haha!" King Kong laughed twice on the channel, saying nothing else. He was full of confidence, totally unfazed by Kost’s words. Blue Wolf was a bit more tactful, just about to say something to smooth things over when the monitoring crew reported: "Attention, all units! The Kaiju’s path is confirmed—it's heading straight for Q Zone!" After that, the monitor guy chuckled, "Man, this monster’s really out of luck..."

A lot of people echoed that sentiment, because the mecha responsible for Q Zone was none other than Fist King.

On a deserted Pacific island, Fist King sat cross-legged on the beach, leaning against a lone mountain cliff, looking like a meditating monk. Waves crashed against its body, but it was as steady and heavy as a mountain. The reactor in its chest seemed completely silent, as if the mecha was asleep.

In the distance, a huge bulge rose up on the ocean’s surface. Under the blazing sun, the mound of water grew taller and bigger, quickly heading this way. Beneath the surging waves, you could faintly see a pair of fierce, glowing blue eyes. This was an absolutely massive Kaiju—even the giant Mecha Hunters would look puny standing in front of it.

"Fist King, the Kaiju’s spotted you and is charging in fast—get ready!" Kost shouted, but the mecha didn’t react at all. It stayed perfectly still. Only Jill Young calmly said, "Wait a little longer."

The Kaiju was speeding up, like a bull in heat with a firecracker up its butt, thundering over. It barreled into the shallows, the crashing waves exploding into countless sprays. Two sharp horns pierced the surface, followed by a head like a wild buffalo. "Moo—!" It sounded like a ship’s foghorn, the massive roar shaking everyone to the core as the Kaiju charged straight at Fist King.

"Fist King, the Kaiju’s entered the shallows and is launching its Berserk Charge—watch out!"

But Fist King still didn’t move, and Jill Young remained calm: "Not yet."

The monster’s massive claws crunched through the rocks, its huge body accelerating again and again, kicking up howling winds as it moved.

"Fist King, the Kaiju’s almost on you—dodge, now!"

Fist King still didn’t budge, and Jill Young stayed cool: "Almost there."

The Kaiju lowered its head, its two long horns aimed right at Fist King’s chest. The air was thick with killing intent, and the island shook as birds scattered in every direction.

"Fist King, what’s going on? Move it!" Kost’s voice was getting anxious. "Is there a malfunction?"

"No malfunction. Everything’s fine."
