Borrowing Stellar Power

1/19/2026

Now that the fire element particles in his body were fully saturated, Evan Chu began using the breakthrough method for Fireshift. Even with all his experience, he couldn't help feeling a little nervous about advancing to the third layer.

Ten days later, Evan Chu stood up and let out a long breath of turbid air. With a thought, white flames erupted all over his body—true Heavenfire, the kind that could burn even Immortal Emperors. Breaking through to Fireshift’s third layer, Evan realized this still wasn’t the endpoint of his fire path, which genuinely surprised him.

But this wasn’t the time to dwell on it. With Fireshift mastered, he decided not to pursue Watershift for now. During the third-layer breakthrough, he seemed to discover something, so he flashed back to the densest Immortal Essence zone and threw himself into mad cultivation.

Day by day, Evan’s realm kept steadily rising. Five hundred years of accelerated time brought him to mid Immortal Lord Realm, and he was confident that with another five hundred years, he could break through to late Immortal Lord.

With all the power now overflowing in his body, Evan felt sure he could take on Hector Vaughn in a head-to-head fight. But with only ten years left, he couldn’t keep cultivating inside the Timewheel Bracelet—the artifact’s restriction left him speechless.

Shadow and Goldwing appeared before Evan. Neither had managed to break through to a new realm—such progress was never easy—but both had greatly thickened their internal Immortal Essence.

The Fire Golden Body and Earth Golden Body had cultivated day and night, and now their realms had surpassed Evan’s own, reaching late Immortal Lord Realm. The terrifying aura radiating from them was enough to destroy heaven and earth.

Evan felt deeply gratified. With these two Golden Bodies, his odds of victory had shot up again. He’d already handed the top-grade Immortal weapon he’d won at the auction to the Fire Golden Body, and he knew that at this point, the Fire Golden Body could easily solo an early-stage Immortal Emperor.

With a thought, Evan recalled Shadow, Goldwing, and the two Golden Bodies. After explaining his departure to the Immortal Crystal’s spirit, Evan and Jade Chu left the Timewheel Bracelet’s inner world.

“Big Brother, why are you guys coming out now? There’s still ten years left!” Tom Chu asked, puzzled.

“The Timewheel Bracelet does have limits. After all, it’s way too heaven-defying, so we can’t push it too hard—we just have to go with the flow. Now that I’ve got ten years left, I’ll use that time to absorb Stellar Power. Maybe I’ll break through.” Evan said.

By now, Evan’s mind had a crystal-clear image of how to use Divine Cleave. But the consumption of Chaos Immortal Force for this move was monstrous; with his current reserves, he could at most swing it twice. If he had Chaos Divine Power, he could unleash it dozens of times.

As the name implies, Divine Cleave is a sword art meant to kill gods—and it truly needs Divine Power to show its full might. Using Chaos Immortal Force only brings out half its true strength. Evan had no idea what its destructive range really was, but he didn’t dare use it lightly; unless it was life or death, he wouldn’t risk it.

“Jade, Tom, let’s head out. This place isn’t suitable for us anymore,” Evan said.

After Jade Chu and Tom Chu returned to Evan’s storage ring, Evan used Earthshift to leave. When he surfaced, he found himself in a barren, deserted region—not Newcapital City.

To avoid attracting attention, Evan changed his appearance. He didn’t linger in this unfamiliar place, but quickly flew off to find a secluded spot where he could comprehend how to borrow Stellar Power.

After half a day of flying, he arrived in a massive canyon. The cliffs soared into the clouds, and halfway up one peak he spotted a natural cave, half-hidden by a medium-sized tree. If you didn’t look closely, you’d never notice it.

“This is the spot!” Evan landed at the cave, quickly cleared away the debris outside, and went in. The cave wasn’t large, and it was a bit damp inside. Evan sat right at the entrance, preparing to comprehend the art of borrowing Stellar Power.

To borrow Stellar Power, you had to be somewhere the starlight could reach—inside the cave was out of the question. Evan told his Immortal Infant, “Seal my Chaos Immortal Force again. I want to comprehend Stellar Power.”

“Stellar Power is way too strong. You absolutely can’t draw too much at once, or we’ll both be in danger. Our lives are tied together, remember—don’t forget that!” the Immortal Infant warned.

“Understood!” Evan replied. The Immortal Infant released a golden light, and Evan’s Chaos Immortal Force was sealed again. For safety, Evan had Goldwing exit his body and shrink down to the size of a normal vulture, guarding him outside.

He slowly sank his divine sense once more into the space of the Star Mark. This time, Evan was extremely cautious—he didn’t rush to borrow energy from the Star Mark, but instead focused on sensing the subtle changes inside it and on the brightest star of the Big Dipper linked to that mark.

As time passed, Evan slipped into a state of perfect emptiness. If you looked closely, you’d see a faint layer of starlight on his body—not from absorbing Stellar Power, but from resonating with the brightest star inside his Star Mark.

But to truly borrow Stellar Power, his Chaos Immortal Force couldn’t be sealed—otherwise, he’d be killed by a powerful enemy before he could even channel the energy.

At a certain moment, Evan saw the star inside the Star Mark shoot a white beam of light at him. The beam wasn’t large, but the energy inside was terrifying. Last time, that power nearly killed him, so this time he was even more careful.

What Evan didn’t know was that it wasn’t just the star inside the Star Mark sending down starlight—up above, a matching faint starbeam was descending from the sky, striking his physical body.

He felt as if his body was about to explode—a surge of unprecedented power flooded his insides. Right now, even against a late-stage Immortal Emperor, he felt totally confident.

Instead of panicking, Evan calmly withdrew his divine sense from the Star Mark and checked his internal condition. Near his dantian, a swirling mass of Stellar Power was spinning with such force it nearly shattered the surrounding space.

He slowly circulated the Stellar Power through his meridians, repeating the cycle four or five times. The swelling sensation faded, but now, right beside his dantian, a dazzling star-point had condensed... (Monthly votes and rewards are so weak, I’m disappointed—give it a boost!)
