Ulterior Motives

To enter Yang Han's Awareness Space, someone had to assist. The Alliance Leader thought for a moment, then took out a treasure from his person—a puppet, not very powerful, at most at Immortal Lord level. The Alliance Leader infused it with a trace of power, and after a moment, the puppet came to life, looking just like a vivid copy of the Alliance Leader.

"I'll leave it to you," the Alliance Leader said to the puppet. At his instruction, the puppet entered the Awareness Space crafted by the Alliance Leader, aiming to reach Yang Han's subconscious space and find out what was really wrong with him.

When the puppet entered, it arrived outside a glowing halo—the passage into Yang Han's Awareness Space. But no matter what the puppet did, it couldn't enter. This shocked the Alliance Leader. There were only two possibilities: either Yang Han's awareness was shattered and he was unconscious, or Yang Han had sealed his Awareness Space himself, letting no one in.

Neither possibility was good. The Alliance Leader started to worry: if Yang Han truly fit the first case, he would be unconscious forever and never wake up.

Faced with this situation, the Alliance Leader could only leave Yang Han in a safe place for continued observation, hoping it was the second scenario. If so, Yang Han would eventually wake up.

"Yang Han, what on earth happened to you to end up like this?" the Alliance Leader sighed, then left Yang Han and turned to go.

As for Yang Han, he was still unconscious, but whether his awareness had truly been destroyed by the four Immortal Sovereigns, only Yang Han himself knew. At this moment, Yang Han was inside his own Awareness Space, not erased—but what puzzled him most was that his strength here was less than even Earth-Immortal level. That's why Yang Han sealed his Awareness Space, to prevent unforeseen accidents.

"I survived the disaster, but suffered such heavy injuries," Yang Han muttered in his Awareness Space.

Luckily, his awareness hadn't died, which meant it could be restored. According to the Alliance Leader, a thousand years inside the Awareness Space equaled just one month outside. Now was the perfect time to strengthen his consciousness and then wake up—this was Yang Han's initial plan.

Outside, Yang Han remained unconscious. The Alliance Leader tried many methods but couldn't wake him, so he had to look for other solutions. While he searched, several Immortal Sovereigns proposed to 'help' Yang Han.

The Alliance Leader knew they had ulterior motives, but for now, all he could do was let them investigate. Maybe something unexpected would happen. So the Alliance Leader sent the consciousness of those Immortal Sovereigns to the outside of Yang Han's Awareness Space.

The Immortal Sovereigns exchanged glances. One of them said, "This guy's awareness is sealed off—we can't even tell if he's dead or alive."

"I say, forget about whether he's dead or alive. Let's just barge in. If we see the kid, then his awareness hasn't disappeared. If not, that means he's dead, and his body is useless. We can ask the Alliance Leader for some blood—it shouldn't be a problem," another Sovereign said.

The other Sovereigns nodded. They reasonably opened up Yang Han's subconscious space. As Yang Han was cultivating, he suddenly sensed someone sneaking into his subconscious, which startled him. The only thing he could do was clear out his subconscious space—he didn't want anyone seeing his deepest secrets. So Yang Han quickly emptied the entire space, leaving only himself hidden somewhere.

"What's with this kid? Why is his awareness so empty?" one Sovereign wondered. Another replied, "Who cares—let's all search. If we find nothing, that's best. We'll just tell the Alliance Leader that Yang Han's awareness is dead, and then we can get his blood."

Yang Han overheard them and, after a quick analysis, was shocked: "They want my blood? No way. If they discover the secret of the Heaven-Cold Seed, that'll be a huge problem."

Yang Han was frustrated—his strength hadn't recovered. Forget fighting these Sovereigns; even ambushing them wasn't realistic. His only hope now was that the Alliance Leader would protect his body.

"Awareness Space, Awareness Space... Looks like I need to leave mine and find a way to contact the Alliance Leader," Yang Han thought. He decided to exit his Awareness Space and go outside to see if he could reach the Alliance Leader.

The Sovereigns searched everywhere, found no one, and then left. Each opened their eyes, and finally one said, "Alliance Leader, we forced our way into his Awareness Space, but..."

"But what?" the Alliance Leader raised his eyebrows.

"But inside, it's empty—there's no awareness at all, not even his subconscious," the Sovereign replied.

"What? You mean his awareness has disappeared?" The Alliance Leader was shocked.

"That's right, exactly," the Sovereign answered.

"North Sovereign, are you sure there's nothing?" the Alliance Leader asked.

"Yes, I'm sure," North Sovereign replied.

The Alliance Leader found the news hard to accept, but still said, "Thank you all."

The Sovereigns all said it was nothing, until North Sovereign took the lead and said, "Alliance Leader, you know how valuable Flameblood is. Now that Yang Han is basically dead, why not give us a little of his blood?"

"What? Impossible!" The Alliance Leader immediately shouted in anger at the Sovereign's suggestion.

Everyone had expected the Alliance Leader to react this way, so North Sovereign continued, "Alliance Leader, why waste this opportunity on a dead man? If we become stronger with his blood, isn't that good? It would make dealing with the Devil Realm much easier!"

"No matter what, that's impossible. Even if the Devil Realm invades, I will not hand over his blood," the Alliance Leader said angrily.
