You Want to Capture Me? No Way

Judging from their flying momentum, Evan Yang could already tell that the elder among them was the strongest. If he ran now, they would definitely notice, which would make it harder to capture the middle-aged man later.

So Evan Yang pretended to be calm, sitting at a tea stall and ordering a cup of hot tea to sip.

Suddenly, a group rushed up, led by Third Young Master Fenn, who was the most anxious. He immediately grabbed Evan Yang.

“Ah!” Evan Yang cried out in fear, and the people around were startled, wondering what was happening.

“None of your business.” Third Young Master Fenn glared at the crowd, then took Evan Yang away. The others followed, curious to see what he would do.

Outside the city, Third Young Master Fenn threw Evan Yang aside and demanded, “Kid, who are you really?”

“I—I’m just an herb farmer, now a brewer.” Evan Yang replied, frustrated and scared, but inwardly scoffed, “If I weren’t after that middle-aged man, I wouldn’t let you catch me so easily.”

“If you don’t cooperate, I’ll kill you!” Third Young Master Fenn threatened angrily.

“Hmph, she’s not your fiancée, so of course you’re not worried.” Third Young Master Fenn retorted, frustrated.

“You—” Second Young Master Fenn snapped angrily.

Third Young Master Fenn ignored Second Young Master, turning to Evan Yang and demanding again, “Are you going to talk or not?”

“Talk about what?” Evan Yang was on the verge of tears, his whole body trembling.

“Fine, so you won’t talk? I’ll kill you!” Third Young Master Fenn threatened, but Second Young Master stopped him.

“Ask your questions, but don’t push your luck!” Second Young Master Fenn snorted coldly as Third was about to hit Evan Yang.

“You saw it yourself—the image in the mirror was him. What else could be wrong?” Third Young Master Fenn glared in anger.

Second Young Master Fenn frowned and said, “Mr. Sha, are you sure the image in the mirror is truly accurate?”

“Yes, that’s right. The spatial artifact must be on him, otherwise it wouldn’t appear above his head.” The young man nodded.

Second Young Master Fenn had nothing more to say, while Third Young Master Fenn pushed his hand away, intent on teaching Evan Yang a lesson.

Evan Yang quickly responded, “What spatial artifact? I’m just a mortal, how could I have a treasure?”

“A spatial artifact?” Evan Yang’s words made the others a bit skeptical. After all, only cultivators could use spatial artifacts—mortals simply couldn’t.

Third Young Master Fenn realized the issue and stopped his hand, asking, “Do you have anything special on you, something you don’t understand?”

Everyone understood what Third Young Master Fenn meant. They’d rather believe this mortal carried a treasure than believe he was a cultivator.

Evan Yang showed no trace of a cultivator’s aura—he was just like any ordinary person.

Seeing everyone fall for it, Evan Yang thought for a moment and quickly said, “Yes, yes, there’s one thing.”

“Hurry, take it out!” Third Young Master Fenn guessed it could be the artifact, so he was very excited.

Evan Yang searched himself and handed over the Sky-Piercing Tower. He knew that as long as he was alive, they could never open the tower; it was bound to him, and whenever he used spiritual power, it would automatically return to his side.

So Evan Yang wasn’t worried about what they might do with the tower.

When they saw the tiny tower—plain as could be—Third Young Master Fenn asked skeptically, “Is this it?”

“Let me try again,” said the middle-aged man.

Then the mirror was activated again. Just like before, after the middle-aged man performed some actions, the mirror locked onto the tower.

“So it really is the tower, but why can’t we open it?” Third Young Master Fenn complained, frustrated.

“Maybe it still has an owner,” the middle-aged man replied.

“Owner? But that brat already fell into Dead Lake and died—how could it still have one?” Third Young Master Fenn objected, not believing it.

Second Young Master Fenn glanced at the tower, then at Evan Yang, and asked, “Ian Wood, where did you get this thing?”

Everyone turned their attention to Evan Yang once again.

“I found it by a lake once,” Evan Yang made up an excuse, thinking they’d never be able to tell if he was lying.

“Found it?” Everyone exchanged looks. For a mortal to stumble upon a spatial artifact—that was just too unbelievable.

“Come on, you’re coming back to the Fenn Family with me.” Third Young Master Fenn grabbed Evan Yang, tossing a spatial pouch to the young man. “These are your spirit crystal ores.”

Then Third Young Master Fenn flew toward the teleportation array with Evan Yang and the tower. In his grasp, Evan Yang pleaded, “Let me go, I really don’t know anything.”

“As long as we confirm you’re not involved, you’ll be released.” Third Young Master Fenn snorted coldly.

Evan Yang feigned innocence, but inwardly calculated: once they left this planet, he would make his move. His main goal was to shake off those from the Fiend Realm.

Second Young Master Fenn sent a secret message to the young man, "Well? Did you see clearly?"

"Just like you, he has two powerful enemies. One is obviously you, and the other is the same. As for the outcome, it’s the same for both of you—no one can fully control the Fenn Family." the young man replied.

“Thanks, these are yours.” Second Young Master Fenn left behind spirit crystal ores and quickly departed, though he muttered to himself, “Hmph, no matter what happens in the future, I’ll have a chance to change things. Third Brother, you too—we’ll see.”

Second Young Master Fenn hurried to catch up with Third Young Master, knowing that the steward would surely question them about Evan Yang and the tower. If he wasn’t there, who knew what Third Young Master would say.

So Second Young Master rushed toward the teleportation array, sending word to the guards to return on their own.

Third Young Master Fenn left Clarin Star, passed through a forest, and headed toward the city to find the interplanetary teleportation array. That’s when Evan Yang made his move.

A volley of daggers flew out. The guards beside Third Young Master Fenn had no chance—they were killed instantly.

Evan Yang had already broken free from Third Young Master Fenn’s grasp, even striking at his hand.

But Third Young Master Fenn wore protective gear, so Evan Yang couldn’t break through his defenses. He exclaimed in shock, “It’s you!”

“Isn’t it obvious? Third Young Master Fenn.” Evan Yang chuckled.

“Impossible! You’re a mortal—how could this be?” Third Young Master Fenn couldn’t believe it when Evan Yang revealed himself.

As for the tower in Third Young Master Fenn’s hand, it vanished in a flash and returned to Evan Yang.

“See?” Evan Yang grinned, holding the tower. Now Third Young Master Fenn was sure this was Evan Yang—the one who escaped with Ye Chen and was knocked into Dead Lake by Captain Five.

Thinking of Dead Lake, Third Young Master Fenn asked, puzzled, “You clearly fell into Dead Lake—how are you still alive?”

“Alive? Just lucky, I guess. But luck doesn’t mean I’ll let you bully me. What you did to the Ye Family and to me—I’ll make sure the Fenn Family pays for it.” Evan Yang sneered, seeing he hadn’t harmed Third Young Master Fenn.

“Make the Fenn Family pay? Ridiculous. Today’s the day I capture you!” Third Young Master Fenn was both shocked and delighted—at least he could catch Evan Yang and learn where Ye Chen was hiding in the tower’s space.

Suddenly, Third Young Master Fenn’s aura surged. “You’ve been suppressing your cultivation?” Evan Yang exclaimed.

“What do you think?” Third Young Master Fenn sneered.

Evan Yang was startled—he’d miscalculated. He’d assumed the other’s cultivation wouldn’t surpass the Spirit Deity stage, but after a quick move, Third Young Master Fenn broke his own suppression.

From the technique, Evan Yang realized Third Young Master Fenn had suppressed an entire realm. He’d seemed only late Spirit Deity before, but now he’d jumped to late stage of the next realm.

Seeing Evan Yang’s shock, Third Young Master Fenn finally let out years of pent-up resentment. “Let’s see where you run now!”

“So devious!” Evan Yang snorted coldly.

“How else am I supposed to deal with you?” Third Young Master Fenn sneered as he launched his attack.

With so many levels between them, Evan Yang could only rely on speed to drag things out—his attacks barely affected Third Young Master Fenn.

“A speed contest? You’re courting death!” Third Young Master Fenn sneered as Evan Yang’s speed increased.

Third Young Master Fenn accelerated as well, putting even more pressure on Evan Yang, making him feel like he was being toyed with.

“Toy with me? You need to be qualified first!” Evan Yang snorted coldly.

“Toy with you? That’d dirty my hands. But you’ve reminded me—these years, you have no idea how desperate I’ve been to catch you. Today, I’ll have some fun, then drag you back home.” Third Young Master Fenn laughed wildly, feeling he could finally capture Evan Yang and restore his family’s honor.

But was Evan Yang really so easy to catch?

Yet those words gave Evan Yang an idea: if he couldn’t defeat him, he’d trap him. To trap someone, he needed either an artifact or an array. He didn’t have an artifact for trapping, but he could set up a Spirit-level array, then combine it with a restriction array for maximum effect.

So Evan Yang dodged around Third Young Master Fenn, seemingly avoiding him, but actually setting up an array. Third Young Master Fenn thought Evan Yang was just running, so he didn’t use his full strength, planning to tire him out first. He sneered, “Run! Let’s see how long you can keep this up!”

“You can forget about catching me.” Evan Yang laughed.

“I’m just too lazy to act now. I want to see what you look like when you collapse from exhaustion.” Third Young Master Fenn laughed heartily.

“Is that so? Then you’ll be disappointed.” Evan Yang sneered.

“Disappointed? What, you think you can just disappear? Ridiculous.” Third Young Master Fenn didn’t believe Evan Yang could escape, since his power was far above him.

But just as he finished speaking, Evan Yang jumped aside and laughed, “Enjoy staying here for a while.”

Third Young Master Fenn didn’t understand, but suddenly an array rose around him—a trapping array.

“Damn it! You’re an array master!” Third Young Master Fenn was shocked and furious that Evan Yang could set up a trapping array so quickly.

“I may not be able to destroy you, but I can trap you for half a day.” Evan Yang sneered.

With a flash, Evan Yang left Third Young Master Fenn behind, who was left howling and attacking the array in a frenzy.
