Crisis of Frostbane Sect

1/19/2026

Suddenly, Evan Chu felt a stabbing pain in his chest, startling him—this was a bad omen. Realizing he'd been away from Frostbane Sect for dozens of days, he was gripped by dread and immediately said, "Goldwing, transform into human form. Your speed is too slow—I'll carry you myself!"

"Boss, I'd better just enter your body for now—call me out when you need me. Did something happen? You look pretty bad!" Goldwing asked.

"I'm not sure either. We'll talk once we're back at the sect—go ahead and return to my body!" Evan replied. Goldwing's body flashed with golden light and vanished into thin air, while Evan unleashed full power, instantly teleporting hundreds of miles away.

Meanwhile, Frostbane Sect was truly in trouble. Thousands were locked in fierce battle, with figures filling the sky and ground—many Frostbane Sect disciples had already died or been gravely wounded.

Selena and Claire Ouyang were already seriously injured, being shielded by several Frostbane Sect disciples. At the same time, Selena Yale was fighting a white-robed elder, barely able to defend herself—her strength had dropped a full realm because of her pregnancy.

Heaven Ape was locked in a heated battle with a black-robed elder, having reverted to his true form and swinging his massive staff in a dense flurry—he hadn't shown signs of defeat yet, but with so many enemies attacking Frostbane Sect, it was only a matter of time before he was overwhelmed.

Joan He, the Heavenly Fragrance Grand Elder, and several Protectors were also each held by opponents of similar strength, unable to break free. Dream Princess wasn’t present this time—she’d remained behind at Freewind Palace.

Every Frostbane Sect disciple was deeply anxious. No one had expected such disaster to strike right after Evan Chu left. In their hearts, they all hoped he would return as soon as possible—only his return could save them from this crisis.

This time, the attackers were actually other sects from the Nine Great Sects—Sacred Sword Sect, Bloodfiend Hall, Freewind Palace, and Heavenly Fragrance Pavilion weren’t involved, but the remaining four sects had all joined forces. Clearly, this was a premeditated move to wipe out Frostbane Sect, dissatisfied with its sudden rise.

At that moment, a loud, clear voice echoed from the sky: "Frostbane Sect, stop struggling. Just surrender and spare yourselves! The wise submit to the times—don’t you see the other four sects have already bowed to me? If you keep resisting, Frostbane Sect will vanish from the Azure Tide Ruins."

The speaker was a youth dressed in red, and behind him stood two sect masters: Duncan Du of Moonrise Sect and Brandon Shi of Seasky Sect.

His words left Frostbane Sect’s disciples stunned. This youth was claiming that the other four Great Sects had already submitted to him—but who was he, and how terrifying was his strength, if even the sect masters bowed before him?

"Evan, why aren’t you back yet? Frostbane Sect is about to be destroyed—what the hell are you doing?" Selena Yale thought anxiously.

Just then, a Frostbane Elder shouted, "Submit to you? You’re not even worthy! You wait until our Sect Master is away, then join forces with the other four sects to ambush us—such cowardly behavior! If you think we’ll bow to you, keep dreaming!"

The red-robed youth glanced at the elder and laughed, "I really don’t like what you just said. Here’s a little punishment—if you spout nonsense again, next time it’ll be your head!"

As soon as he finished, a red light flashed in his hand. He reached out through the air, and with a surge of power, the elder screamed as his arm was wrenched off by brute force—blood gushing like rain.

Such overwhelming power made many Frostbane Sect disciples tremble with fear. Even Selena Yale realized how dire things were—the youth’s cultivation was at least Fifth or even Sixth Layer Saint Martial Realm. Otherwise, those four sect masters would never submit to him. Maybe even Evan Chu wouldn’t be his match.

"Are you waiting for Freewind Palace or Sacred Sword Sect to come save you? Let me tell you—they’re too busy dealing with their own mess, just barely keeping themselves safe. The reason I’m targeting Frostbane Sect is because I heard your Sect Master is also a very young cultivator. I’m quite interested in him, but it’s a pity he’s not here. I’m disappointed."

"So I’ll just suppress Frostbane Sect and wait for him to show up. I also heard he’s married four stunning beauties—so those four will be the price for my wasted trip!" the red-robed youth declared, sounding even more arrogant and domineering than Evan Chu himself.

"Dream on! Look at yourself—how dare you compare to Evan? If he were here, he’d beat you so bad you’d be picking your teeth off the ground!" Lynne Nie couldn’t help but shout angrily.

"Heh, I like that sharp tongue. Looks like you must be one of Evan Chu’s women, huh? Truly stunning—and still a virgin, too. Seems Evan isn’t up to the task, is he? Maybe that’s why he married so many women, just to cover up his own incompetence!" the red-robed youth sneered.

That he could spot Lynne Nie’s virginity at a glance was no small feat—it showed just how skilled he was when it came to women.

"Shameless bastard! You’re asking for death!" Lynne Nie couldn’t bear the insult and charged at the red-robed youth—only to be stopped by Selena Yale.

"Lynne, don’t be reckless! His strength is unfathomable—charging in is suicide. If something happened to you, what would Evan do?" Selena Yale warned.

"But... but..." Lynne Nie was so angry she could barely speak, her eyes shimmering with tears that threatened to fall at any moment.

"Hahaha! Listen up, all of you—if you want to live, you’d better behave. I only want those four women; your lives mean nothing to me. Otherwise, Frostbane Sect leaves no survivors today!" the red-robed youth laughed, a murderous aura erupting from him that sent chills through everyone present.

Heaven Ape turned to Selena Yale and the others and said, "This guy’s already broken through to Sixth Layer Saint Martial Realm. No one in Azure Tide Ruins can withstand his attacks. Looks like Frostbane Sect really is doomed this time!"

"If Evan were here, maybe there’d be a sliver of hope. Who is this guy, anyway—he’s so terrifying, and his methods are even crueler than those of the dark organization!" Selena Yale said.

"You people really dare stir up trouble at Frostbane Sect? You must really not take me, Evan Chu, seriously!" A voice rang out from the distance, and a white-robed youth flashed into view before Selena Yale and the others...
