Charles Yin burst out laughing. "What's this? Have you grown attached to the cows in Scotland? Really not coming back?"
"I don't want to go back for now," Sean Kerr replied. "It's pretty good here. As long as the old lady is alive, I have no desire to return."
Because as soon as he goes back, it means endless trouble.
Charles Yin knew this too, and quickly got to the point. "Is there something you need my help with?"
"Actually, there is a small matter," Sean Kerr said. "Jenny ran over here to hide and refuses to go home no matter what. The old lady sent people to look for her, but I sent them away. But this can't go on forever. I can't step in directly—if I do, it'll leave a trace, and I can't go against the old lady. She's my mother, after all. So, I need you to handle this. In return, I'll supply your future grandkids with fresh milk, nonstop. How about it?"
Charles Yin snorted with laughter. "Like I care about your milk! No one wants to get involved in your family's mess—it's a headache."
"I know," Sean Kerr sighed. "That's exactly why I'm asking you. Anyone else who gets involved will get scolded, but the old lady wouldn't dare scold you."
Charles Yin said, "I've heard a bit about Jenny's situation. This time, the kid finally has some fight in her, but she's still too inexperienced—not a match for the old lady."
"So you need to come up with a way to solve this once and for all," Sean Kerr said. "I'm really out of options, that's why I'm asking you. You can't refuse! No matter what, you've watched Jenny grow up."
"You really are something..." Charles Yin sighed helplessly. "Alright, I'll take care of it. This does need to be settled. The old lady's already this old and still won't let go of the family—it's just too much."
"I'll be waiting for your good news," Sean Kerr said with a smile. "Alright, that's enough for now. I've got work to do, but please take care of my issue."
The two chatted a bit more before hanging up.
Charles Yin shook his head helplessly.
Growing up together creates a bond that's different from others.
Sean Kerr's issues are his responsibility.
Besides, Jenny really is a good kid—he watched her grow up. It's such a shame the Kerr family has pushed her this far.
Charles Yin asked Alex, "Where are Ethan and Cherry now?"
"They should be wrapping up their trip and getting ready to return today," Alex checked the itinerary and replied. "Do you want Ethan and Ms. Miller to go check things out?"
"Yeah, let them go," Charles Yin tapped the table, instructing, "Tell those two to take it easy—don't go overboard. After all, she's the Kerr family matriarch. Don't make things awkward for future meetings."
"Yes, Chairman," Alex nodded, trying not to laugh.
The Chairman really does know his own son and daughter-in-law's style!
Those two are definitely cut from the same cloth—both sly as foxes.
Alex called Ethan Yin and Cherry Miller. As it happened, Ethan had other things to handle, so Cherry immediately agreed to go to Scotland herself to meet Jenny.
On the third day, Cherry Miller arrived in Scotland and met with Sean Kerr and Jenny.
"Uncle Sean, Jenny!" Cherry Miller, dressed in a pale yellow dress, stood by the roadside and waved to them.
This place really is hard to find.
She rented a car and drove for over two hours before finally reaching Sean Kerr's farm.
"Cherry!" Jenny was thrilled to see Cherry Miller. "Why did you come all the way here?"
Cherry Miller looked at Jenny like she was a silly kid. "If I didn't come help you clean up the mess, what would you do next?"
Then Cherry Miller turned to Sean Kerr with a smile. "Uncle Sean, the Chairman sent me to help you. Feel free to put me to work."
Sean Kerr smiled, "Oh, I wouldn't dare. Who would randomly boss around the future mistress of the Yin Family? Come on, get in the car—let's talk at home."
"Alright!" Cherry Miller hopped into the car, following Sean Kerr's pickup all the way to the house, bouncing along the rough road.
Sean Kerr noticed Cherry Miller didn't mind the humble surroundings at all. She handed her suitcase to the servant without fuss, grabbed the rough water cup and took several gulps, making him nod in approval.
Charles always did have great taste.
He picked a good wife, and his daughter-in-law is just as impressive.
"You two chat. I'll check the kitchen and whip up something tasty," Sean Kerr patted Jenny's shoulder and left.
The living room was left with just Jenny and Cherry Miller. Cherry got straight to the point, "Jenny, tell me honestly—why did you run away from home?"
Jenny lowered her head and said, "It was just that I really couldn't stand my grandma anymore—that's why I left."
"Jenny, if you really want to solve the problem, you have to be honest with me," Cherry Miller lifted her chin. "I've watched all your brothers grow up—I know your temperaments. You've put up with things for over twenty years, you're used to it! So something must've happened that I don't know about, something that pushed you over the edge. I bet this took all your courage. Uncle Sean's place is pretty basic, and you're used to a pampered life, but you've stuck it out for days. Whatever happened must've been big—big enough for you to willingly go up against your grandma. So Jenny, you'd better tell me the truth, or I can't help you. If we aren't on the same page, we could end up making things worse."
"Do you even realize how much chaos you've caused by running away? Your grandma is practically losing her mind, searching everywhere, full of rage! Even in Europe, I heard about the commotion she's making—let alone back home." Cherry Miller said.
Jenny looked embarrassed. "Cherry, I'm sorry for making you all worry."
"So, just be honest and tell me everything," Cherry Miller poured herself a glass of water. "Take your time. I'm listening!"

Jenny was flustered.
Cherry's so strong—maybe only Ethan could handle her.
She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Ethan.
"Cherry, you're right. Something did happen that forced me to go against my family," Jenny hesitated, then said, "I fell in love with someone, but my family doesn't approve."
"You fell in love with someone?" Cherry Miller lowered her eyes. "If your family doesn't approve, it's either a difference in status, age, or maybe... gender."
"Pfft..." Jenny almost spat out her water. "Cherry!"
Cherry Miller burst out laughing. "Go on."
"You know the person too, Cherry," Jenny said, biting her lip. "It's Sherry Yuan."
Cherry Miller nodded calmly. "I thought so. It really is her."
This time, Jenny was stunned. "You're not surprised?"
Cherry Miller said, "Back at Sunset Manor, I already thought something was off. Whenever Sherry showed up, you were there too. And you always found an excuse to bring her things. Once or twice is normal, but when it happens a lot, it's not. I'm just shocked you actually made a move. Good job, Jenny—you finally acted like a grown man."
Jenny replied awkwardly, "But I haven't confessed yet. Sherry doesn't know anything. It's just my family—every little thing makes them paranoid. When I invited Sherry out for a meal, they secretly went to find her and said things they shouldn't have."
Cherry Miller nodded.
She didn't need to ask—she could imagine exactly what the Kerr family said.
It was probably the same old insults—calling her a toad lusting after a swan, shamelessly clinging to the powerful. Nothing new.
But Sherry Yuan wouldn't let herself get bullied.
That's just not her style.
Cherry Miller wasn't worried about Sherry Yuan at all.
"Are you serious?" Cherry asked. "You know her background—she's got it tougher than most regular folks. And she's much older than you. Are you sure you two can make it work?"
"I'm sure, Cherry," Jenny clenched her fists. "I've never been this serious. I ran away from home because I want to solve the Kerr family's problems once and for all—then I'll confess openly and pursue her with everything I've got! I don't want to be a coward, and I don't want Sherry to bear the brunt of my family's anger for me."
Cherry Miller tapped Jenny's forehead without mercy. "So you want us to take the heat for you? Do you realize even Madam is upset because of you?"
Seeing Jenny's guilty face, Cherry Miller could only sigh. "Forget it. Since I'm here, I'll help you deal with the aftermath. Let me think—this one's tricky."
"With you here, I'm not worried," Jenny said. "You were all away these past days, so I had to ask Mo Yu and Mo Shuo for help. Luckily, they came through and helped me get out of the country."
"Are the Kerr family people still around?" Cherry Miller asked.
"Yes. That assistant, Qing, won't give up—he's been staying at the town's inn the whole time."
Cherry Miller snorted. "He’s convinced you’re here. Fine, let’s ignore him for now—let me think of a plan."
Just then, Sean Kerr walked in from outside. "I made beef bone stew today, Cherry—try some of Uncle Sean’s cooking and give me your thoughts!"
"Sure!" Cherry Miller agreed cheerfully, jumping up. "I'll help! Uncle Sean, your place is so nice—no wonder the Chairman says you’re the most skilled at living among the Three Musketeers."
Sean Kerr burst out laughing. "Most skilled? More like the least accomplished of the three! No need to flatter me for him!"
"Not at all," Cherry laughed. "The Chairman never means what he says..."
After a lively meal, Cherry Miller went to her room to rest.
She had rushed here overnight, and before coming, she'd been working nonstop for a week—completely exhausted.
Coming here was a vacation in itself!
Still, before bed, Cherry Miller couldn't help but ponder Jenny's predicament, wondering how to solve it.
