Alchemical Trial

Chapter 1411

The Lionheart King sat calmly, issuing orders. Instantly, more than half of the mages on the grasslands vanished—no one dared defy the Lionheart King's command, especially now. Only a dozen or so mages remained, ranging from Tier Five to Tier Eight.

Each of these remaining figures was at least a Creator-level alchemist. All three deans from the Starry Sky Academy appeared—they were all Saint-ranked alchemists. Clearly, the situation called for powerful alchemists, and both their alchemy and mage ranks had to meet strict requirements.

Of the dozen or so remaining high-tier mages, only Leon was Tier Five; the rest were all at least Tier Six.

The group of high-tier mages approached the crystal table at the center. Right beside Leon, a Tier Seven mage frowned and shot him a glance.

Of those left, aside from four Tier Nine mages, Leon was the only Tier Five.

This mage wore a robe that looked forged from metal, his beard carefully styled into gentle curls, and a felt hat encrusted with gems and intricate patterns perched atop his head.

Upon seeing Leon, he gave a cold, mocking smile and released a hint of oppressive aura toward Leon. Using his own body as cover, he wasn’t worried about being noticed—and even if he was, no one would say anything.

But if Leon were to embarrass himself here, there’d be plenty eager to laugh at him. Whatever’s about to happen next, Leon likely wouldn’t have a chance to participate.

Leon glanced at the guy indifferently—he’d never met him, didn’t know him. But with such a flashy getup, if he were from Northern Odin, Leon would surely recognize him. He must be from Southern Odin.

The flamboyant mage tried to suppress Leon with his aura, but Leon’s expression remained utterly calm, as if he hadn’t noticed a thing.

Earlier, when two Tier Nine powerhouses clashed, Leon had the confidence to stand his ground where only Tier Seven mages could endure. Facing this Tier Seven mage now was hardly worth worrying about.

In a straight fight, maybe Leon wouldn’t be his match, but if it was just a contest of aura—forget it…

Leon pressed forward without a change in expression, while the flamboyant mage’s face grew a shade darker.

Leon hadn’t planned to say anything, treating himself as just another attendee at the meeting. But Agalon suddenly waved him over.

Leon paused in surprise. Agalon inviting him forward in this setting meant something very different.

To take such a stance in front of the other three powerhouses was a clear message: This one’s under my protection—so all of you, keep your damn eyes open…

Leon stepped up and bowed respectfully to Agalon. After all the guidance and care Agalon had given him, Leon’s respect was well-earned.

Before Leon could speak, Agalon addressed the other three powerhouses.
