"So when will that gate open?" Evan Yang asked, doubtful. If it really happened, the whole world would fall into chaos.
"That's hard to say. Usually it opens once every hundred million years, but the exact timing is only known to those top experts above," Victor Chu replied.
"Those top experts above?" Evan Yang asked, confused.
"I mean the Immortal Sovereigns—the apex figures of the Immortal Realm. Once the gate opens, they inform those below, so everyone can prepare and defend against intrusions from other realms. Sometimes, great wars break out at certain locations," Victor Chu explained.
"I see." Evan Yang was now very curious about those Immortal Sovereigns—what exactly were they, and what about Sovereign Frost? When would he recover? These questions lingered in Evan's mind.
"Alright, let's drop it; I'm getting off track," Victor Chu said, embarrassed, with a laugh.
"It's fine. So, you're really going to let Chase Chu attend?" Evan Yang asked.
"Yes, but it still depends on his own will. If he truly wants to walk the path to the peak, this is the only way to grow stronger. Otherwise, if he just stays in the Chu Family, that's about as far as he'll go," Victor Chu said.
Evan Yang understood what Victor Chu meant. If not for his own arrival, Victor wouldn't have placed such high hopes on Chase Chu. Hearing this, Evan actually wanted to visit Emerald Cloud Star himself, maybe even observe those ancient clans and sects—and perhaps find clues about Blaze Mountain Territory.
"You’re right, senior. Go ahead and let Chase Chu come. If he decides to go, I’ll head there with him in a few days," Evan Yang said.
