You Are the One Who Needs Medicine

"What if it works? Just take it!" Grace quickly fished the antidote out from inside her robe and, without a second thought, shoved it straight into his mouth.

Evan Xiao absolutely can't die!

He's the source of her spiritual power—without him, her cultivation is doomed!

Evan Xiao suddenly stepped back, glaring at her with a cold, dark look.

Grace froze in the act of giving him the pill. "General, you need to take your medicine!"

"No need!" Evan Xiao turned and walked away.

Grace hurried after him, shouting, "That big python was definitely poisonous! You need to take the medicine right now! If you don't, in just a few minutes, the poison will spread and you'll die!"

Despite everything she'd said, Evan Xiao remained completely indifferent and walked straight into his room.

Grace grew anxious, grabbing his sleeve and shouting, "Take your medicine! My antidote will definitely work!"

Evan Xiao glanced at her hand clutching his sleeve, then at the pill she held out to him, frowning slightly.

Although Lily Bai wasn't exactly a good person, seeing her so anxious, it was clear she genuinely cared about him.

Maybe... she's truly fallen for him?

Grace looked at him expectantly, holding the pill to his lips.

Evan Xiao slowly reached out his right hand.

Louis Lin heard Grace's agitated shouting and came out, only to see this scene.

Lily Bai was desperately clinging to the General, while the General slowly raised his right hand.

His expression suddenly changed—oh no!

The General is definitely going to smack her into next week!

Poor girl, she's so pretty... He even kind of liked her...

But what happened next left him frozen, mouth agape for ages.

His General didn't strike her at all.

Instead, he took the pill with his right hand, pinched Lily Bai's cheeks with his left, forced her mouth open, and shoved the pill in. Then he snapped, "You're the one who needs medicine!"

He did it all in one smooth motion. Seeing Lily Bai's stunned face, he even smiled, a faint dimple appearing on his cheek, making him look especially handsome.

Louis Lin tugged his own hair and pinched his own face, just to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

His master really doesn't like physical contact with people—uh, with anyone.

Once, a woman on the street was so dazzled by his looks that she pretended to faint and fell into his arms.

Instead of catching her, he sent her flying with a single smack.

Another time, a brothel girl tried to pull him inside, and he sliced off her hand without hesitation.

...

And the list goes on.

Now, he actually grabbed Lily Bai's face?

Whoa... that's not normal. Way too abnormal.

Wait, thinking back, it seems like he's touched Lily Bai more than once.

Last time, at Lily Bai's house, he even grabbed her by the neck...

That would've been unthinkable before...

What's going on here?

Meanwhile, Lily Bai was left with a mouthful of medicine by Evan Xiao. After a long moment, she snapped out of it, spat out the snake antidote, and hurried after him.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Louis Lin quickly blocked her.

"Louis Lin! The General got bitten by a snake! Quick, give him the antidote!" Grace cried anxiously.

"Miss Lily, you don't need to worry so much. The General will be fine," Louis Lin said calmly.

"How could he be fine? That was a red-ringed snake! It's highly poisonous!"

"It's fine," he replied, not worried at all.

Grace was stunned. "Why?"
