Chapter 796: Giant

The origin and culmination of all wisdom—a perfect balance, akin to a closed world. Only wisdom may enter; to affirm one's own wisdom and conviction is the only way.

Here, there is no time, no sound, no reference point. It seems even the air itself has vanished. Slowly, Leon’s face began to pale, his youthful features aging into those of a middle-aged man. His mage’s robe, worn and tattered from years of use, reflected the passage of time.

Eventually, after countless years had passed, Leon’s steps never faltered. His hair turned gray, his face grew old, and his body became hunched.

The only thing unchanged was the unwavering conviction in those clouded eyes.

The power of wisdom—what truly is it? It is not mere magic, nor alchemy, but a profound mystery that reaches into the soul.

Just as Leon’s clothes were completely torn, his skin wrinkled with age, and the Spellbook of Ages and Arcane Wheel in his hands seemed ready to fall, his steps became painfully slow, and his life’s breath was about to fade away. Yet, in those clouded eyes, a new glimmer appeared—a hint of wisdom mingled with unwavering conviction.

From life to death, Leon had mastered all wisdom, gathering all knowledge into a mysterious transformation—something that could only be felt, not spoken.

Wisdom!

In an instant, the endless path of light ahead, with no visible end, suddenly changed. The straight road twisted and turned, transforming into a continuously looping circle.

At the center of the circle floated a sphere of light, seemingly containing every color in existence.

Leon’s clouded eyes cleared, his hunched body straightened, his decayed face regained its youth, and even his tattered mage’s robe was restored.

Leon gazed at the sphere of light, his expression flickering, a bead of cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

That was close! If I hadn’t known in advance, I probably wouldn’t have made it past that path of light.

Without absolute conviction in wisdom, one cannot witness the skull of Lord Wisdom.

After a long while, Leon’s dull gaze gradually regained its vitality. The time that seemed to stretch for decades or centuries had, strictly speaking, lasted only a day or two.

If one does not walk this path from beginning to end, it’s as if they are forever trapped in one plane, unable to reach another.

After some time, Leon felt himself restored to his peak state. Walking the endless path of light seemed to have settled his spirit and soul like never before. Now, with a single thought, he could step directly into the realm of Title Archmage.

Leon took a gentle breath and walked toward the sphere of endless color at the center. With each step, the sphere grew larger, and by the time he reached it, it had become a massive globe thousands of meters tall.

Without hesitation, Leon stepped directly into the sphere of light.

In an instant, the surroundings became endless void, filled with countless runes—profound symbols scattered like stars across the sky.

As Leon stepped inside, the countless runes seemed to go mad, furiously pouring into his body.

Within the void, a terrifying river of runes spanned the emptiness, pouring directly into Leon’s mind.

Suddenly, Leon’s face turned pale, twisted in agony.

This was the fusion of knowledge, will, and power lingering within Constantine’s Skull.

Sweat poured from Leon’s forehead, his body drenched as if caught in a sudden rain.

This is bad—who would’ve thought the will lingering in Constantine’s Skull would be this powerful…

In an instant, Leon lost control of his body—his consciousness was entirely contained within his mind.

Within the realm of consciousness, the void was endless. Suddenly, a colossal giant appeared before Leon, towering tens of thousands of meters high, seemingly formed from countless runes. Standing at its feet, Leon couldn’t even see its face.

With a single step, the giant caused the endless void to collapse, as if the void itself could not withstand the power of its movement.

Leon felt he could no longer breathe. As the giant strode forward, it was as if the entire world pressed down on him. The void behind the giant collapsed completely, and even the other half of the void crumbled with every step.

Leon knew this was Constantine’s Skull trying to seize his body and shatter his soul—this was the lingering power within Constantine’s Skull, the power of a god-demon!

Even if it was just a tiny, imperceptible amount—in his mental realm, he was but a speck, while the other was a giant tens of thousands of meters tall.

Leon’s pale complexion didn’t change as he looked at the towering giant, slowly extending a finger.

At this moment, there was no choice—defeat the giant formed of endless runes, or have his soul shattered and his body taken by Constantine’s Skull.

A simple Fireball appeared at Leon’s fingertip—a head-sized crimson sphere shot toward the giant.

Boom…

A crisp sound, like the smallest firecracker going off—the fireball exploded, leaving only a single rune on the giant’s body.

This seemed to completely enrage the giant. Instantly, it raised its arms, runes surging across its body, making the entire void tremble.

Rifts spanning tens of thousands of miles appeared, shattering the void like a broken mirror. The fractured space pressed down on Leon, as if an entire world was collapsing.

Suddenly, facing the attack that shattered the entire void, Leon revealed a faint smile.

This is my realm of consciousness—here, I am the master.

Countless notes spilled from Leon’s mouth, each transforming into tangible runes that floated around him. In an instant, the space before Leon seemed to be sliced apart by an invisible blade.

The area where Leon stood—a space over three meters wide—was forcibly separated from the void!

Yet it was this space, barely three meters wide, that withstood the collapse of the void. The giant roared furiously as the shattered void collapsed from all directions, seemingly trying to crush Leon with the force of an entire world.

Leon’s face remained pale, but his eyes grew ever brighter.

This was his realm of consciousness. Constantine’s Skull was powerful, and the lingering god-demon power was beyond his resistance, but here, he was the master. This three-meter space was his last stand, his final conviction—the convergence of all his wisdom and will.

As long as he didn’t give up, Constantine’s Skull couldn’t crush him—not in a moment, not for a while.

Here, as long as I understand it, as long as I know it—even spells and powers I couldn’t wield before—I can use them with a single thought. Here, if I grasp the mysteries of god-demons, then I become the god-demon of this place!

Leon’s eyes grew even brighter. The three-meter space trembled, on the verge of collapse, as if it could be crushed by the endless void at any moment.

Leon extended a hand and slashed fiercely at the rampaging giant. Instantly, a pitch-black rift appeared in the collapsing void.

A fearsome spatial blade, hundreds of meters long, appeared!

Wherever the spatial blade cut, even the shattered void was forcibly sliced apart—nothing could withstand its edge.

Everything here was a product of Leon’s consciousness. With enough willpower, even a single thought could reshape the world.

Those fragments of void were merely parts the giant had seized—how could they stop Leon, the true master here?

The pitch-black spatial blade struck the giant’s finger, severing it instantly. The detached finger collapsed into a torrent of runes before it could rejoin the giant’s body.

A colossal, pitch-black hand, thousands of meters wide, appeared in the shattered void, ignoring the broken space and grabbing the torrent of runes.

A mass of runes merged into the three-meter space around Leon, with countless mysteries and knowledge flowing through his mind.

The space beneath Leon’s feet rapidly expanded from three meters to hundreds. What had seemed on the verge of collapse suddenly became stable.

The giant roared in fury, its finger regrowing, but its body shrank by a meter.
