Entrance Key

"Big Brother, this place feels just like a real world. You could call it an illusion, but everything here is actually real—try attacking these trees if you don't believe me. They're solid, and you can even store them in your storage ring," Tom Chu said.

"Jade Chu's right. The Tri-Mystic Tower comes with its own space, just like the world inside your Timewheel Bracelet—it's all real. Each floor has a 'cut-in point,' and if you find it, you can enter the next layer, which is the so-called entrance. Linfeng, your job now is to find that cut-in point here. The higher the floor, the harder it is to locate. Be patient," Luna said.

"Cut-in point? You can just help me look for it, right? Or maybe you could ask Serena Frost to send me straight to the final floor—wouldn't that be way more convenient?" Evan Chu joked.

"If I could do that, I would've done it ages ago. Right now, I can't show myself at all—last time already caught the Imperial Palace's attention. If I manifest again, they'll definitely take me away. Is that what you want?" Luna shot back.

"No way, Luna! I was just saying. Since you can't help, I'll get Jade and Tom Chu to help me instead. I'm sure we can break through," Evan Chu said.

"There are plenty of powerful monsters and Immortal beasts inside the Tri-Mystic Tower. With your strength, you might get to the fifth floor, but don't even think about the last two. First, you won't be able to find the cut-in point or break the entrance; second, the dangers inside are way beyond what you can handle," Luna warned.

"Got it, I'm just curious. That old guy said golden script would show up in the tower after a while, but it's all trees here—how could it appear? This place is huge and wild, so finding the entrance is seriously tough. I bet that old geezer was lying to me; he'd better hope I don't run into him, or I'll show him what tough really means," Evan Chu grumbled.

Just as Evan Chu was getting frustrated, golden script suddenly flashed in the air. To his surprise, he could read every word, which struck him as odd.

After taking a closer look at the golden script, Evan Chu felt both amused and helpless. Turns out, to get to the next floor, he didn't need to search for a cut-in point at all—instead, he had to slay several hundred Jungle Wolves and get the key from one of their bodies to unlock the entrance to the next tower layer.

Only after killing enough Jungle Wolves would the tower gate show up on its own. This was basically a grindy game trial—pure brute force, and all the harder since his strength was limited here. He had no clue which wolf had the key, so it all came down to luck.

Glancing at Jade Chu and Tom Chu beside him, Evan Chu said, "To enter the next floor, we need to get the key to open the tower gate—but that key is inside the Jungle Wolves on this third floor. We can only get it by killing tons of Jungle Wolves, so this time, you two have to join the fight."

"That's easy! We can totally do it. Big Brother, how about we compete to see who kills more Jungle Wolves? I haven't stretched my muscles in ages—now's the perfect time," Jade Chu said.

"Sounds great to me! Slaying little wolves is a blast. What do you think, Big Brother?" Tom Chu chimed in.

"No problem, but this place is massive. What if we get separated? I don't want to run around looking for everyone again!" Evan Chu said.

"Ha, Big Brother, you're really clueless! Both Tom and I left spiritual marks on you—if you need us back, just focus your mind and we'll return. Honestly, we can't wait to see your face when you lose," Jade Chu laughed.

"Fine, let's see who kills more. But whoever gets the key has to regroup immediately—no wasting effort," Evan Chu ordered.

Just as Tom Chu was about to leave, Jade Chu suddenly asked, "Wait, is the key inside the Jungle Wolf's body? Do we have to cut open every single corpse to check? That sounds like a huge hassle!"

Evan Chu was speechless—if Jade Chu was right, it really would be a pain. He was about to reply when Luna spoke up: "Since this is a special zone, the key will appear in a special way. If the Jungle Wolf you kill has the key for the next floor, it'll show up immediately—no need to cut open the body."

"Really? How do you know that?" Evan Chu asked, half-convinced.

"It's simple. Serena Frost is from the Immortal Realm, so she uses Immortal Realm rules. I bet she set up all these stages because she's waiting for a truly strong person to help her. Otherwise, with her cold personality, everyone in here would've died ages ago.

In the Immortal Realm, major sects love sending disciples into unfamiliar places. The challenges there are pretty much the same as here—like when you entered the Mist Forest at Heavenly Dragon Academy to hunt monsters for magic crystals. Back then, you had to cut open the beasts to get the crystals, but in the Immortal Realm, quest items appear directly.

"Trust me on this. I'm sure some Jungle Wolves will vanish into smoke as soon as they're killed, but there will be exceptions. Those wolves might have something inside—maybe even extra rewards for this floor. In those cases, you should cut open the bodies and check," Luna explained.

Evan Chu listened to Luna as if she were telling a story—curious and excited. He quickly relayed her words to Jade Chu and Tom Chu, and the two understood right away.

"Big Brother, we get it. Let's start now—I can't wait any longer!" Tom Chu said eagerly.

Evan Chu nodded with a grin. "Give it your best shot! If I win, don't come crying to me!" As soon as he finished, he activated Shifting Position and vanished from sight.

"Big Brother is so sneaky, leaving before us! Jade, we have to win this time, or he'll never let us live it down," Tom Chu said.

"Go for it, Tom! Big Brother's power is suppressed here, but we aren't affected at all—that's our advantage. I'm sure he'll lose this time, so get ready to see his disappointed face!" Jade Chu replied, then shot into the sky. If Evan Chu saw the two of them flying here, he'd probably be so frustrated he'd cough up blood.
