"Hahaha! I'm just kidding, just kidding!" Lily Bai scooted over and took the fish. "Relax, I accept your sincerity! If my junior brother truly wasn't killed by Baxa, once we're inside the Sigil Sect, I'll do whatever I can to help you rescue him!"
However, Damian Black's face grew even darker. He snatched the fish back and turned to leave.
Lily was a little confused but followed after him.
They hadn't walked far when Damian's Messenger Charm lit up.
He answered it, and Azure Flame's voice came through: "Not done yet?"
Demon Emperor: "Did something happen?"
"Palace Forcing," Azure Flame replied.
Damian glanced at Lily and said, "Got it."
He grabbed Lily and took off, using Swiftstride.
......
Eastern Luo Royal Palace.
Marcus White's eldest brother Cedric White and younger brother Warren White really did come to force the palace.
"Your Majesty, we're just here to see the Crown Prince. What's the meaning of this?" Cedric White said rudely, showing zero respect for the emperor.
"I've already told you, Little Shrimp was taken to the Sigil Sect by his sister. He's not here." Marcus White might not have high cultivation, but he sat there with calm authority, every bit the emperor.
"According to our sources, the Crown Prince was still here this morning!" Cedric insisted.
"Big Brother, your information might not be accurate," Empress Clarissa Summers said. "Little Shrimp really did go with his sister."
"Then let Lily bring him back," Warren White pressed aggressively.
Marcus asked, "Why?"
"I heard someone say Little Shrimp is a fool!" Cedric White declared. "How can the Eastern Luo Empire let a fool be Crown Prince? The whole world would laugh at us!"
"Ridiculous!" Empress Clarissa Summers snapped. "My son has the Phoenix Heart! How could he be an idiot? Where did you even hear such nonsense?"
"Whether it's true or just nonsense, all you have to do is bring Little Shrimp out and let us see him. Dodging like this only makes people suspicious!"
Marcus White was silent for a moment, then said, "Alright, I'll try to contact Lily and see if she can bring Little Shrimp back."
"If she's not available, we'll just send someone to fetch him ourselves," Warren White said.
Marcus didn't reply and activated his Messenger Charm.
After a long wait, he frowned and said, "Lily might be busy and didn't answer."
"Your Majesty, you're obviously stalling!" Cedric White snapped. "If you keep this up, don't blame us brothers for barging into the inner palace to see for ourselves!"
As Warren spoke, he pointed to the sky.
Above, the sound of spirit beasts flying filled the air.
His Flying Riders were assembled over the royal palace,
just waiting for a single order to storm the palace.
"Are you trying to rebel?" Marcus White roared.
"Rebel?" Cedric White sneered arrogantly. "You think you deserve that word? If we really wanted to deal with you, it'd be as easy as squashing an ant. Get a clue."
Marcus was so furious his stomach hurt.
Suddenly—thwack! An arrow shot in from the rear gate, landing squarely on Cedric White's hat.
Cedric White had strong cultivation and quick reflexes, but he still couldn't dodge it.
He stared, eyes wide, looking up at the little arrow.
Wait, what...?
"Eldest Royal Uncle." A tiny figure walked in from the rear gate. "If I'd aimed for your neck just now, you'd already be dead!"
Everyone looked closely—the little kid in red riding and archery gear, bow in hand, chubby as a milk dumpling, was none other than the Crown Prince Bobby Bai they'd all been demanding to see.
He sure doesn't look foolish, does he?
