Cynthia Xing was filled with excitement. Ever since she learned of Nick Ning, she had wanted to capture this ant and completely search his soul. After three lifetimes of reincarnation, she had finally succeeded today. Perhaps tormenting Nick Ning was secondary; what mattered most to her was the Primeval Pearl.
The Genesis Lotus was incomplete, but the Primeval Pearl should be whole. Why had Nick Ning and Emperor Ye always been stronger than her, Cynthia Xing? It wasn't that her talent or fortune was inferior to theirs, but rather because the Genesis Lotus she obtained was never complete.
If she acquired the Primeval Pearl, she would never be as foolish as Nick Ning and Emperor Ye, venturing into the Genesis Universe only to be slain by stronger cultivators from other universes.
The more Cynthia Xing thought about it, the more excited she became...
Wait, something was off. As her seal was about to completely imprison him, Nick Ning should have resisted, even if he couldn't escape. Why wasn't he fighting back? She saw the look in Nick Ning's eyes—there was sorrow, but none of the fear or anxiety that had appeared before.
Cynthia Xing unleashed her Dao rhythm, intending to crush Nick Ning as quickly as possible. But she suddenly realized that all space and time around her were frozen—she couldn't move at all.
"You..." Cynthia Xing stared blankly at Nick Ning. She wasn't a fool—clearly, their strengths were now on entirely different levels. It was precisely because of this gap that Nick Ning could crush her so easily.
Just what realm had Nick Ning reached?
Cynthia Xing felt a chill run through her body. She was certain that if she joined the next great battle at the Genesis Gate, she could easily defeat the likes of Ming He, and even Du Bu and Saint Buddha Qu Pu would be powerless against her. Yet now, Nick Ning hadn't even lifted a finger—he had crushed her with nothing but his Dao domain.
"Alas..." Nick Ning sighed and raised his hand, pressing down. After comprehending the Lawless Dao, all of Cynthia Xing's Dao rhythm and divine arts seemed like a joke to him.
"Nick Ning, you can't kill me. This is just a struggle for Genesis, there's no other grudge between us. The one you should kill most is Faye Immeasura. If you spare me, I can tell you where the Immeasura Palace Lord is..." Cynthia Xing's fear could no longer be concealed.
This was her final reincarnation. If Nick Ning killed her today, there would be no trace of Cynthia Xing left in the vast cosmos. She couldn't accept it—after all these years of madness for the Grand Way, after paying so much, how could she die so meaninglessly?
Nick Ning looked at Cynthia Xing mockingly and said calmly, "You're wrong. Of the three women I most want to kill, you're one of them."
"I get it, you must want to kill Susan Shaw the most! I can tell you where she is..." Cynthia Xing cried out in panic, truly unwilling to accept her fate.
Nick Ning's handprint struck down. Cynthia Xing stared in despair as it fell. Even before she died, she already saw endless darkness—that would be her final breath.
At that moment, a man's face appeared in her mind. Dylan Lethe—the only man who had ever treated her kindly...
If she could live again, what would she choose? Would she still pursue the Grand Way, stepping over everything Dylan Lethe had for her sake? She remembered the vow Dylan Lethe made before taking her into Lostlake: never abandon, never betray...
But she had betrayed Dylan Lethe...
Bang! Cynthia Xing's thoughts came to a halt. As Nick Ning's handprint descended, she exploded into a mist of blood, her soul utterly destroyed.
No matter what choices she might have made, she would never have another chance.
She had fulfilled her last wish. Back when Ming He forced her to her death, she had said that she would rather die at the hands of Nick Ning and Emperor Ye. Today, her wish was finally granted.
"You're right, Susan Shaw is indeed one of the three women I most want to kill. I don't need you to tell me where she is—I'll find her myself." Nick Ning's tone was utterly calm.
Coming to the Five Elements Universe, aside from revisiting old places, his purpose was to kill the women he most wanted dead but hadn't yet managed to.
......
Nick Ning didn't take anything from Cynthia Xing—he loathed this woman to his very core. Then there was that Saintess Susan Shaw from Infinity Sanctuary. What he regretted most was not destroying her along with the Sacred Tree when he ruined Infinity Sanctuary.
With a single thought, he had caused countless friends and disciples to perish along with Leon Starfield.
Nick Ning's divine sense swept through the vast void, landing on the Prime Essence World. It was just as he had left it, even more prosperous now. Sadly, his old friends were fewer and fewer.
Nick Ning sighed. He decided to return to Prime Essence World for a visit.
Something seemed off—the protective array of Prime Essence World had been attacked and was damaged. Though not completely shattered, Nick Ning could tell at a glance, since he was the one who set up the array.
Nick Ning's divine sense immediately swept out into the void beyond Prime Essence World. The rules in the void were chaotic—clearly, it was the aftermath of a great battle, with Dao rhythm and divine arts lingering.
Someone attacked Prime Essence World? How could that be possible? The protective array of Prime Essence World is so formidable—who would dare assault it?
Huh? Why are there so many Realm-Merging experts? There are even some pseudo-Creation Realm cultivators. Though their power feels unstable, this still shouldn't be happening.
When he left the Five Elements Universe, there weren't any Creation Realm cultivators, and only a few Realm-Merging experts. How many years had passed? Even if the rules of the Five Elements Universe had been restored, it shouldn't have produced so many Realm-Merging experts at once.
If these experts attacked Prime Essence World...
Nick Ning frowned. There was no need for more attackers; just one or two could tear Prime Essence World to shreds.
As Nick Ning pondered whether these unfamiliar Realm-Merging experts were the ones attacking Prime Essence World, three Realm-Merging cultivators landed outside the protective array.
Nick Ning tore through the domain with a single step, instantly appearing opposite the three Realm-Merging experts.
"Are you planning to use your superior cultivation to attack Prime Essence World?" Nick Ning asked as soon as he arrived.
If that was the case, he'd simply kill them and be done with it.
The leader of the three was a short, white-bearded man. He sized up Nick Ning, uncertain of his cultivation, then cupped his fists and said, "We would never willingly attack Prime Essence World. We have our moral boundaries—why would we do something so disgraceful? The Dao Lord of Prime Essence Court raped my Dao companion and then extracted her soul. Shouldn't I avenge her?"

Even so, I never actively attacked Prime Essence World. I only came here to expose the vile face of Prime Essence Court's Dao Lord. Who would've thought, over such a trivial matter, the Dao Lord issued a decree and led tens of millions of Court soldiers to kill me. My two friends, upon hearing this, came to speak up for me. Let me be clear: I never attacked Prime Essence World nor provoked anyone here. It was the Dao Lord who provoked me, and I was forced to fight back."
Nick Ning frowned. The Dao Lord of Prime Essence Court must be out of his mind to provoke Realm-Merging experts.
Thinking of this, Nick Ning's divine sense swept through the array again, landing on every cultivator within Prime Essence Court. Soon, he identified the Dao Lord—a young man who looked familiar, though Nick Ning was certain he'd never met him before.
This guy wasn't old, but his cultivation was high—he must have succeeded in Dao Integration. Even with the rules of the Five Elements Universe perfected, succeeding in Dao Integration in Prime Essence World was no ordinary feat.
"Do you know the name of the Dao Lord of Prime Essence World?" Nick Ning asked the white-bearded Realm-Merging cultivator.
The Realm-Merging cultivator shook his head. "I only know people call him Dao Lord Zhan Cheng."
Nick Ning frowned even more. That name sounded like someone who wanted to kill him. He nodded to the Realm-Merging cultivator, "Go ahead and keep attacking the array. I want to see what this Dao Lord Zhan Cheng is made of."
The white-bearded cultivator replied awkwardly, "I can't attack proactively, even if he bullied me."
"Why?" Nick Ning asked in confusion.
"Well..." The white-bearded cultivator hesitated for a long time, unable to give a reason.
Nick Ning threw a punch at the protective array of Prime Essence World. "In that case, let me start things off for you."
(That's all for today. Good night, friends!)
