Awkward Atmosphere

The closest seats are divided into private boxes, each with the best view and furnished with tables and chairs.

They were led into one of these private boxes.

Soon, two beautiful Flower Fairies in green robes entered, carrying trays.

At first, their faces were full of smiles.

But as soon as they saw Lucia Lu and Luna Lian, their smiles vanished instantly.

The two exchanged a glance—one offered flower pastries, the other poured wine that looked like liquid jade.

"This place is great! The service is even better than mortal restaurants," Henry Xiao said with a smile.

"Fourth Highness, you've been to mortal restaurants?" Lucia Lu asked.

"I have. Haven't you ever visited the mortal world?"

Lucia Lu said, "Of course I've been. Back when I was with the Spirit Alliance, we often went out to gather herbs, but I never actually entered a restaurant."

Henry Xiao said, "Then when there's a chance, I'll take you."

Lucia Lu smiled without replying.

While they spoke, Ryan Lu picked up his cup and took a sip.

The two Flower Fairies bowed and prepared to leave.

Just then, Ryan Lu suddenly spat out his wine with a loud "pfft."

Sitting opposite him, Lucia Lu quickly put up a barrier to block it.

Otherwise, she definitely would’ve been sprayed in the face.

"Was it really that bad? You actually spat it out?" Lucia Lu asked him.

Ryan Lu didn’t reply; mouth still full of wine, he looked at the two Flower Fairies in green.

The two Flower Fairies immediately turned and left.

Ryan Lu finally wiped his mouth and said, "It’s not that the wine tastes bad! The wine is excellent!"

"Then what happened?" Lucia Lu asked.

"Just now, one of the Flower Fairies—honestly, I couldn’t tell which—actually sent me a voice transmission: 'Young master, do you need us to stay and serve you?'"

"That’s not enough to make you spit it out, though," Henry Xiao said with a laugh.

"So I replied by voice transmission, 'No need.' Guess what she said next?"

"What?" The three all looked at him.

"She said in that coy voice: 'Any kind of service you want!'" Ryan Lu’s expression looked like he’d stepped in something gross. "I wasn’t paying attention, so I spat out my wine."

"Any kind of service you want!" Lucia Lu mimicked Ryan Lu’s tone. "Are you sure that’s what she meant?"

"I don’t know!" Ryan Lu looked at Henry Xiao. "I’m very pure!"

"You’re probably just overthinking it!" Henry Xiao said. "How could that be?"

Before he finished speaking, they all heard someone outside complaining in a low voice: "Why are we so unlucky? We got assigned to this box! They actually brought two women themselves!"

"Yeah! They definitely won’t need us to keep them company. What should we do?"

"Why don’t we check the other boxes and see if anyone needs extra company?"

"Alright." The two chatted as they walked away.

The four of them didn’t say anything.

They all felt a bit strangely awkward inside.

After a while, the Flower Queen Contest began.

The Flower Fairies who took the stage were all extremely beautiful.

Brightly colored and each with their own charm.

It’s just… their outfits were all a bit revealing.

Some had necklines that plunged way too low.

Some even showed off their thighs, shoulders, and more.

Lucia Lu and Luna Lian both felt like there was nowhere safe to rest their eyes.

The atmosphere in the box grew awkward.

It didn’t take long for things to get even weirder.

From the neighboring box came the sound of women giggling.

Mixed in were voices like, "You’re so bad!" and "Don’t touch me there!"

After a while, even more suggestive sounds drifted over.

And it wasn’t just one man.

And it wasn’t just one woman.

The noises were so obvious, no one could possibly misunderstand what was going on.

The three siblings exchanged glances, then looked at Henry Xiao—the atmosphere got even more awkward.
