This was his last chance—Ryan Ling had to grab hold and never let go, or his whole life would be toast. Luckily, the Immortal World Big Shot had pumped him up with confidence, and that mysterious force was slowly tugging him upward. It wasn’t super strong yet, but it gave Ryan just enough hope to steady his nerves.
Right now, Ryan wasn’t panicking like before. He gritted his teeth and yanked himself upward like a madman—this was do-or-die, and he had to clutch this lifeline for dear life.
“Kid, still struggling to survive? You think you’re important or something?” The Demonic Ancestor sneered, not taking Ryan seriously at all. He laughed disdainfully and unleashed another wave of power, trying to rip Ryan straight down.
But right at that critical moment, the Immortal World Big Shot finally made his move. He’d clearly been waiting for this—an overwhelming blast of power crashed head-on into the Demonic Ancestor’s attack. The collision shook the whole Demonic World, thunder booming everywhere.
Seeing this, Ryan finally managed a shaky breath. At least the Immortal World Big Shot could hold off the Demonic Ancestor for a bit—just enough time for Ryan to make his getaway!
But what really stunned Ryan was that the Demonic Ancestor didn’t budge an inch from the hit, while the Immortal World Big Shot got blasted backward, his aura all messed up.
Ryan took a deep breath. The scene rattled him—he’d thought the Immortal World Big Shot was totally prepped for this, but even then, he couldn’t go toe-to-toe with the Demonic Ancestor. Just how terrifying was that Ancestor’s power? Ryan figured the Big Shot was probably only at peak Primordial Immortal, not some unbeatable monster. If he really were that strong, he’d have just yanked Ryan straight into the Immortal World, no problem!
Still, even though the Immortal World Big Shot wasn’t as strong, he’d bought Ryan the most precious thing—time and a shot at escape. Ryan poured every ounce of strength he had into charging for the Immortal Gate. This step was the make-or-break moment: if he got through, he’d be out of the Demonic World for good, and not even the Demonic Ancestor could drag him back from the Immortal side, no matter how strong he was.
"Almost there!" Ryan knew better than anyone—if he missed this chance, he was totally doomed!
And just then, Ryan seized his moment—one foot already in the Immortal World. But right as he started to feel smug, a force grabbed his other leg. Suddenly, he felt like his whole body might get ripped in half. The Ancestor was making his last desperate play.
"You little bastard, I will never let you escape—never!" The Demonic Ancestor was screaming like a lunatic now. No way was he letting Ryan get away; it wasn’t just about his own pride, it was about the honor of the whole Demonic World!
But Ryan had come this far—no matter how bad things got, he was not about to give up!
He screamed his lungs out, fighting with everything he had. Then, out of nowhere, that mysterious Immortal World power gave him a massive boost. Just as his body was about to be torn in half, Ryan finally broke free from the Demonic World, sucked straight into the Immortal side. For a split second, he felt lighter than he’d ever felt in his life—and, most importantly, he’d dodged the Ancestor’s kill-shot.
But just as he made it into the Immortal World, the Demonic Ancestor’s voice roared out behind him.
"You little bastard, I will never let you escape—never..."
But before the echo even faded, the Ancestor shouted again.
"Wait—who are you, really? Are you that guy? Only he could break free from the Demonic World’s shackles and ascend under these conditions. You’ve got his aura all over you..."
Ryan didn’t care about any of that anymore. Swept up in a whirl of light and space, he landed in a blindingly bright place, like stepping out of the abyss into the land of the living. But the glare was so intense, he instantly blacked out and collapsed. Still, deep down, he knew—he’d escaped the Demonic World. He was safe!
......
Who knows how much time passed—centuries, maybe? Ryan felt like he’d been trapped in a dream forever. When he finally woke up, his head was pounding and something nearby was shoving him hard.
In an instant, Ryan jumped up from the ground.
"You’re finally awake?" came a gentle female voice nearby. Ryan jumped, scanning his surroundings—only to spot several women draped in animal skins, dressed pretty scantily. They looked wild, straight out of some primitive tribe.
"Who are you guys?" Ryan sucked in a cold breath. He’d totally expected the Immortal World to be super civilized, not some stone-age tribe. But the aura here was pure Immortal World—no doubt about it.
"Shouldn’t we be asking you that? Who are you, and where’d you come from?" said a burly-looking woman, eyeing him warily. Clearly, they weren’t about to drop their guard around Ryan.
Ryan’s mind raced through everything that had just happened. No way could he admit to being from the Demonic World—the Immortal and Demonic Worlds were mortal enemies. If these women found out, he’d be dead on the spot.
"I... honestly have no clue where I’m from. My head’s all fuzzy right now!" Ryan played it smart and pretended to have amnesia.

The tribal women didn’t seem to think much of it—apparently, they were pretty simple-minded. But hearing Ryan’s answer, the burly woman barked, "Whatever, I don’t care where you came from. You’re our prisoner now, so you’re our slave. Move it, little Heavenly Immortal!"
"Heavenly Immortal?" The words hit Ryan like a truck. How could he be just a Heavenly Immortal? Even at his weakest, he should be a Golden Immortal! But just as he started to panic, he realized his power really had dropped to the lowest Heavenly Immortal level. No question—it was the Demonic Ancestor’s brutal suppression. His Golden Immortal power was wiped out, and even his Profound and Divine Immortal strength were gone. All he had left was Heavenly Immortal.
Ryan was totally gutted. Heavenly Immortal was bottom tier—weak as hell. In the Immortal World, that was straight-up slave material.
But there was nothing he could do to fix it right now. He’d just have to play it by ear and scope out the area. Actually, being this weak might not be all bad. The Northslay Gang he wiped out? That’s big news. With all the chaos between the Immortal and Demonic Worlds, the Immortal World folks would be hunting for a Golden Immortal-level monster, not some crippled little Heavenly Immortal. That gave Ryan a window to breathe. For now, though, he had to figure out how to deal with these savage women!
Right then, the tribe marched Ryan off like a slave to a mountain cave—their home base. Weirdly, there weren’t any men around, just women everywhere. It felt a lot like the Jennie Family back in the Demonic World. Ryan also noticed his Golden Immortal Conch was missing, but he wasn’t worried. The Immortal World Big Shot probably took it for safekeeping—which was way safer than leaving it on him now!
Just as Ryan was lost in thought, a voice called out from inside the cave.
"The chieftain’s heart pain is acting up again—someone think of something..."
