"Who the hell are you?"
Shawn Young turned his head, staring at the kid who’d suddenly appeared, completely baffled.
This guy’s clothes were dirt cheap, his frame was scrawny, and most importantly, he looked like a damn high schooler.
But what really confused Shawn was—the door to the private room had been shut the whole time. When did this kid even show up?
"Who's your boss now?" Evan Lin took a bite of watermelon, spit out a seed, and replied coolly.
"Evan, what are you doing here? Get out, now! This isn’t a place for you!" Lily Zhong froze when she saw Evan Lin, then shouted at him.
Shawn Young was nothing like Jack Zhang from school. That guy could only round up a few loser buddies, but Shawn had been a campus big shot since college.
Shawn’s family ran an underground casino, and in all of Brightsea City, they were pretty powerful. They operated in a shady gray area—half legal, half illegal—which was exactly why Lily didn’t want Evan getting mixed up in this.
"My daddy? Ha! There aren’t many people in Brightsea City bold enough to call themselves my daddy!" Shawn laughed, turning to Lily. "You’re Ms. Zhong’s student, right? Are you just crushing on your teacher’s looks, so you tagged along?"
Shawn grinned coldly. "Not surprising, I was obsessed with my English teacher back in the day too. But unlike a broke kid like you, all you can do is fantasize in your head. Me? I can just throw cash at a teacher and get her to spread her legs."
"Evan!" Lily Zhong’s face changed, and she immediately stood up, ready to run toward Evan.
Evan remained calm. Just as the knife was about to pierce his leg bone, he suddenly reached out and grabbed Harry’s wrist in midair.
He squeezed.
Twist.
Crack.
A crisp sound of bone snapping rang out.
Ah!
The smile on Harry’s face froze instantly, twisting into an expression of extreme pain.
He screamed, clutching his hand as he staggered back, instinctively dropping the fruit knife.
"You really thought you could mess with me?" Evan said, his voice cold and mocking.
