Adrian smiled as he looked at Nora.
Nora stammered, "W-why are you looking at me like that? I was going to explain everything to you, but I forgot as soon as I got home. Adrian, you're not mad at me, are you? There's really nothing going on between me and him!"
"No," Adrian replied. "My Nora has always been so kind. If she ever stopped being kind, she wouldn't be my Nora anymore! Besides, I'm confident—there's no man in this world better than me!"
Nora let out a sigh of relief. "As long as you're not angry, that's good."
"My Nora is always so amazing, so of course people admire her," Adrian said calmly, smiling. "I've known that for ages! Back when you were still Yun Nuo, wasn't there Mo Zixin..."
Nora quickly covered his mouth and shot him a glare. "That was ages ago, and you still remember!"
Adrian gave Nora an innocent look, signaling he hadn't finished speaking. Only then did Nora let go of his mouth.
"I'm just saying, back then I was gutsy enough to compete with Mo Zixin, so why would I be scared of some random patient now?" Adrian laughed. "Besides, you're already my wife, and no one can take you away!"
"Speaking of Mo Zixin, I actually feel pretty guilty about him. Our Yun family really owes the Mo family a lot. Especially Cici—Mo Zixin vowed never to marry because of her. That kind of loyalty is huge." Nora sighed. "Now, we hardly dare to see anyone from the Mo family. Only Zixuan still meets up and chats with me sometimes. The rest... we really owe them."
"How's Mo Zixin doing lately?" Adrian suddenly asked. "I heard there's a female lawyer named Yu Jie around him, and the two seem pretty close?"
"They're just close, that's all," Molly Yun said meaningfully. "Now that Mo Yu and Mo Shuo are here, the Mo family has heirs, so no one is pressuring him to get married anymore. Not that it would help. Anyway, let's not talk about this. We haven't gone out in two days—why don't we take a walk?"
"Sure." Eric Jiang kissed Molly Yun on the forehead. "Why don't we go find Sichen and Xixi for dinner?"
"Okay." Molly Yun nodded with a smile.
The two of them got in the car right away and called to ask where Xixi and Sichen were, then headed straight over.
For once, the kids weren't causing trouble, so Xixi and Sichen were enjoying some couple time—sweet and cozy on the rooftop terrace, grilling their own barbecue, feeling the gentle breeze, and smelling the flowers. It couldn't get any better.
Eric Jiang and Molly Yun arrived just in time; the meat was already starting to cook.
"Sometimes it's better to be lucky than early," Molly Yun said, sitting down next to Xixi. She took a skewer from Xixi's hand, took a bite, and nodded in approval. "Xixi, your cooking skills are getting better and better!"
Xixi immediately replied, "Of course! I learned from the best chef. If my skills were bad, how could I face the chef's lessons?"
The chef was Molly Yun.
After that, the two sisters burst out laughing.
