Trouble, I’m a Doctor, Not a God

2/14/2026

As the patron doctor for the Young Clan, Serena Feng accepts their benefits, so she’s obliged to do work for them too. For example, whenever Victor Yun occasionally refers a patient, she can’t refuse. Up till now, Victor had never sent her any patients, so she thought being a patron was easy—until this time, when the first referral turned out to be a colossal headache...

The people who moved into Serena Feng’s manor—never mind the Emperor or Ninth Royal Uncle finding them troublesome—even she herself is plagued with headaches. But there’s nothing she can do, and she doesn’t dare drive them out; even if she tried, they wouldn’t care.

Serena Feng couldn’t do anything about the people in her manor, so she could only seek out the culprit—Victor Yun. After all, these people were sent by Victor, supposedly to introduce her to a ‘high-profile patient’ and help Serena make a name for herself in the martial world.

Make a name for myself, my ass! Serena was so angry she cursed out loud. Was Victor introducing her to a patient, or just dumping trouble on her?

She’s a surgeon, not a pediatrician, and definitely not a kindergarten principal. Damn it, it’s bad enough they sent her a six-year-old patient, but the kid’s family didn’t even show up.

Fine, no family—whatever. But this little patient brought a hundred bodyguards, and none of them can control that little terror. Not only do they fail to keep him in line, they actually encourage his mischief. And if that weren’t bad enough, do they have to be so damn strong?

The bodyguards this little patient brought are so formidable, each one could flatten Serena’s own hidden guards. And Zuo An, that bastard—when he saw how bad things were getting, he didn’t hesitate to claim he was protecting Sun Sihang and left the city to go practice medicine with him.

Wuwuwu, what kind of karma did she rack up in her past life to deserve this nightmare—getting tormented by a little demon king?

That’s right—a little demon king. This kid’s father is the Demon Sect Lord, and he himself is the Young Lord of the Demon Sect. He’s not just precocious and clever for his age—he’s vicious to the extreme, a little monster through and through.

The little demon king had only been at Feng Manor for three days, but already seventy percent of the staff were either sick or injured. Even Jada Tang, Mira Tang, and Spring hadn’t escaped his clutches—scared out of their wits and bedridden. As for Serena...

Serena Feng could only say she was lucky and gutsy enough not to have been tormented to death by the little demon king, but even so, she found herself mentally exhausted. If this went on, she'd go crazy sooner or later.

Damn it, who wouldn’t be scared out of their wits if they woke up surrounded by rotting corpses?

Who wouldn’t freak out if a giant python suddenly wrapped around them while they were taking a bath?

Who wouldn’t be scared to tears if a huge snake head suddenly lunged at you during a meal, mouth wide open to swallow your head?

Who wouldn’t be scared to death if they suddenly fell into a pit full of dead puppies and kittens?

And those aren’t even the worst of it—the little demon king has even more terrifying tricks, and no matter how brave Serena Feng is, even she can’t take it.

Anyone who saw a six-year-old calmly dismembering a living person with an innocent smile would be scared out of their wits.

Anyone who saw a six-year-old drag a bunch of people to put on a live porn show—regardless of gender—would lose their mind.

...

There’s a lot more, but Serena Feng won’t even go into it. Bottom line, what Victor Young sent her this time wasn’t a patient—it was a little tyrant, a ten-year-old overlord.

"Young Master Victor Young, please, I’m begging you—just take that child away! I’m a doctor, not a priest, and definitely not a god. I can’t subdue demons or tame monsters like him." Serena Feng was on the verge of tears.

How twisted must a place—and its parents—be to raise such a monster? Serena Feng was in tears, nearly driven insane by Zed. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw scattered body parts and pale corpses, and even holding a bowl of rice made her want to vomit.

Serena Feng suffered; Victor Young suffered too. It’s easy to invite a god, but hard to send one away—and this “god” came uninvited, making it even harder to get rid of him.

Victor Young sighed sympathetically: "Serena, I know you’re a doctor, but you also know Zed isn’t a demon or monster—he’s just a very special patient. If even you give up on him, his life is finished."

Zed was Serena Feng’s little patient—the Demon Sect’s young heir. He was young, but shockingly cruel. At first, the Sect Lord was proud, thinking only a ruthless heir could control the Demon Sect’s monsters, but as Zed grew, the problem got worse.

Zed was bloodthirsty and violent. When he was in a good mood, he played with dismemberment; in a bad mood, he tortured and killed. He wasn’t a normal child—Serena Feng called him severely disturbed. Yet he was clever and inventive, tormenting the entire Demon Sect. The Sect Lord could only assign people to watch him, but no one could really control him.

Eventually, the sect’s old doctor said Zed was sick and needed treatment.

If you’re sick, you need a doctor—but no doctor could handle Zed. Since he was five, every year a doctor tried, and every year doctors went mad or became idiots from fear.

When the Sect Lord was desperate, he heard of Serena Feng’s reputation. Afraid that mentioning the Demon Sect would scare her off, he asked his acquaintance, the Lord of Cloud City, to help contact Serena and ask her to treat his son.

The Lord of Cloud City contacted Victor Young, who wanted to ask Serena Feng, but she was away in Shandong. The Sect Lord, impatient, learned of the Young family’s good relationship with Serena and sent Zed straight to the Young family, asking Victor Young to bring Zed to Serena for treatment.

So, Victor Young fully understood Serena Feng’s suffering—he’d been tormented by Zed too. That kid had a screw loose and killed people for fun. If not for that, Victor Young wouldn’t have rushed Zed to Serena’s house.

Maybe Serena Feng really could cure Zed. Besides, with so many Demon Sect members at Serena’s house, even the Emperor wouldn’t dare touch her. The Emperor wasn’t afraid of the Demon Sect, but he wouldn’t pick a fight over something so minor.

The Demon Sect couldn’t overthrow the throne, but if the Emperor got entangled with them, he’d be miserable. All those assassinations would be enough to give him a headache.

Serena Feng could only accept her bad luck. Zed had boundaries—he’d never harm anyone from Serena’s house, just scare them. Whether they died of fright was none of his concern.

Victor Young shrugged helplessly. He hadn’t recommended this patient—the other side had forced him to take responsibility, and he was just caught up in it.

"What will it take for you to send that so-called heir away?" Serena Feng clenched her fists, struggling to suppress her murderous urge. With a kid like Zed, if she didn’t go insane, she’d end up just as twisted as he was.

"I really can’t do anything, Serena. You know how extreme Demon Sect people are. Every doctor who’s tried to treat Zed—apart from those who went mad or became idiots—ended up dead. In other words, unless you die or go insane, the Sect Lord won’t take Zed back."

God, what did I do to deserve this? Serena Feng slapped her forehead and collapsed into a chair: "Victor Young, I’m going to kill you."

If Serena Feng sounded even angrier, maybe she’d be more convincing…
