The Butterfly Spirit Is Even Bolder Than the Peacock Spirit
"Your Majesty, where did you go just now?" She blinked her big, pretty eyes and asked.
Damian Black replied, "West Wilds."
"What did you go there for?" Her way of speaking to Damian always drags out the last syllable, sugary and coy, which makes Lily Bai's skin crawl.
"Business."
"When did you meet Lily Bai?" She glanced at Lily. "Why did she help Azure Flame remove the sigil?"
Damian Black shifted to the side and said coolly, "You don't need to ask so much."
Mirage's eyes turned pitiful. "Your Majesty, don't be so far from me!"
Damian Black: "..."
"It's been so long since I've seen Your Majesty. I really missed..." She scooted closer to Damian, about to lean against him.
Damian Black dodged and said, "Don't do that."
"But Your Majesty, I just can't help myself when I see you!" She gazed at him with lovesick eyes. "I really, really like you! Whenever I see you, I feel like my heart is melting!"
Lily Bai coughed. "Ahem."
Is this butterfly spirit even bolder than the peacock spirit?
Honestly, it's hard to watch.
Damian Black glanced at her, then, without a word, stood up and strolled over to stand behind Lily Bai.
And he just stood there, not moving at all. Who knows what that means.
"Your Majesty, why are you standing over there? Come here! Sit by me!" She patted the spot next to herself. "I still want to talk to you properly!"
"Say what you want; I can hear you." Damian Black simply sat down next to Lily Bai.
Mirage looked at Lily Bai, her eyes flashing with obvious jealousy. "Your Majesty, do you like Lily Bai?"
Damian Black: "If you keep talking like this, don't come see me again."
Mirage pouted, looking all aggrieved. "Fine! I won't talk about that anymore—let's talk about Baxa. I already entered his dreams and asked him: those missing Celestial Sect disciples have absolutely nothing to do with him. He was trying to save people, but Leo Li and Henry Xiao, those two bastards, took advantage of it and captured him."
Lily Bai gave a mocking smile. "He was saving people?"
Mirage shot her a sideways look. "What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing! Go on." Lily Bai rolled her eyes.
"He said those people might still be alive. But he doesn't know where they're being held." Mirage continued.
Damian Black: "Where is Baxa being held?"
"In Drake Prison. But they're planning some kind of Oath-Taking Assembly at the Sigil Sect, and when the time comes, they'll transfer him there." Mirage said. "Baxa told you not to rescue him—they'll definitely set up a massive Heavenly Net Array just waiting for you!"
Damian Black said nothing.
Lily Bai tilted her head and asked, "Are you still going to go?"
Damian Black: "What do you think?"
"Didn't Mirage just say? They've set up a massive Heavenly Net Array! They're just waiting for you to take the bait!"
"You just need to lead me inside." Damian Black said.
"Fine! As we agreed, I'll only lead you inside. Anything else is not my problem! And you can't hurt anyone." Lily Bai pursed her lips and stared at him, eyes blazing.
Damian Black looked back at her, his gaze cool, but with something deeper that made her feel bewitched—she couldn't look away.
"Your Majesty!" Mirage called out angrily.
Damian Black turned to look at her, frowning slightly.
"Lily Bai is a Rune Master! If you let her into the Wildlands Tribulation Thunder Array, she might figure out its secrets! Even if you don't kill her, you should at least blind her!" Mirage said.
Lily Bai felt a pang of guilt when she heard that.
She'd entered the array twice, but never thought to take a good look and search for a way to break it.
