Ruptured Void

At first, Evan Yang was still conscious, but eventually he lost consciousness, lying there in the Black Sea. Aside from his body twitching uncontrollably, everything else was eerily calm.

If you looked closely, you'd notice the seawater around him was changing—and so was Evan Yang himself, his whole body acting like a vessel, absorbing everything nearby.

The seawater gradually faded from black, especially near Evan Yang, where the color got lighter and lighter—like a bottle of ink absorbing black matter, leaving only clear water behind.

So the water closest to Evan Yang faded first, and then the surrounding water slowly began to lighten too.

Meanwhile, something seemed to be slowly fusing within all of Evan Yang's meridians.

One month, two months—time ticked by bit by bit.

Outside, Phantom Elder, whose limit was fifty years, could only withdraw and hide, watching from the shadows to see what method the Fiend Palace people would use to break the void.

One day, the Fiend Palace Lord arrived here with his four personal guards and several people who looked extremely powerful.

"They finally came," Phantom Elder muttered, feeling worried for Evan Yang. If the void was broken and they discovered the sea with Evan Yang inside, he’d definitely be taken away by the Fiend Palace people.

Unconscious, Evan Yang naturally had no idea what was happening below.

"Are you sure you want to break open the void?" one person asked suspiciously.

The other two looked curiously at the Fiend Palace Lord. The Fiend Palace Lord had invited three friends; he said, "Yes. No matter what, my youngest son has been missing for a hundred years. This time, I must break it open. If I hadn't waited for you, I would have done it fifty years ago."

"Alright, we'll help you. Once we break it open, we must restore it within one hour," said the person who had asked earlier.

"No problem," the Fiend Palace Lord nodded.

The four quickly reached an agreement. Nearby, four First-Rank Generals from Fiend Palace watched, guarding against sneak attacks.

Phantom Elder, still hiding, muttered, "Damn it, they brought even more helpers."

The Fiend Palace Lord had no idea Phantom Elder was hiding nearby; he was fully focused on breaking open the space.

Soon, the four joined forces, unleashing their full power at a single point beneath the huge disk.

Boom! The sound was deafening. The targeted spot quickly expanded, the void was opened—and to their shock, it was all water inside. As the opening grew, all they saw was an endless sea.

Phantom Elder was also stunned. What confused him even more was that, logically, the water should have been black, but now it had no color at all.

"Keep going!" the Fiend Palace Lord shouted after his initial shock.

The opening in the void kept growing.

A whole sea gradually appeared before everyone, and water began leaking out from the void.

"Damn it, it's all water here!" the Fiend Palace Lord shouted, not expecting this under the disk.

"What do we do now?" someone exclaimed in surprise.

"Keep opening it. In a moment, you guys hold the breach—I’ll go in and check out the situation inside," said the Fiend Palace Lord.

The others nodded.

So the Fiend Palace Lord entered. But he’d barely gone in before the space became unstable.

"This is bad—the breach is expanding out of control!" someone shouted in alarm.

The other two were also shocked. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t control it, and the four First-Rank Generals nearby had no idea how to stabilize space and were no help at all.

Phantom Elder, hiding nearby, could only watch helplessly, cursing inwardly, "Damn it, the space is out of control—you bastards."

On another mountain, four people were playing chess when something major suddenly happened.

"These fools are actually breaking space—unbelievable," one shouted, and the other three’s faces changed dramatically.

"Let’s go!" said the hunchbacked elder. The four instantly vanished.

They reappeared beside the giant disk, and seeing the situation, one shouted, "You people!"

"Who are you?!" the three and the four guards stared in shock at these four mysterious newcomers.

Each of the four raised a hand, and the giant disk was moved aside—the whole disk lifted into the air.

Phantom Elder was stunned, quickly recalling the disk. The others, seeing where it went, didn’t chase but focused on the changes before them.

A vast sea appeared before everyone.

The Fiend Palace Lord searched the sea, but when the disk flew away, he was shocked.

"Come out!" one of the four shouted at the Fiend Palace Lord. Another frowned, then flashed down and pulled Evan Yang up from the bottom of the sea.

When the four saw it was Evan Yang, they looked at each other in surprise.

The Fiend Palace Lord was even more shocked, rushing out.

"Palace Lord," the four guards looked at him, bewildered.

"May I ask who you are?" The Fiend Palace Lord stared in awe at the four, knowing only someone with terrifying power could lift the disk so easily.

"We’ll settle accounts with you later," said the hunchbacked elder. Then, each of the four reached out, and the expanding breach shrank and finally closed, all within a few breaths.

But their display left a powerful impression on those present.

"What are you people doing?" the hunchbacked elder demanded.

"We wanted to capture someone, so we broke open the space. May I ask who you seniors are?" The Fiend Palace Lord, ruler of the Fiend Realm, was awed by the four’s power, and the other three were stunned as well.

"Hmph! Breaking open space—don’t you know the Fiend Realm forbids it? Just because you’re the Fiend Palace Lord doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want!" the hunchbacked elder criticized bluntly.

The Fiend Palace Lord’s face flushed with anger; he wanted to reprimand them, but remembering their strength, he could only stew in frustration.

One of the four said, "Enough, a warning is sufficient."

The four glanced around, snorted, and left.

"Damn it, who exactly are these four?" the Fiend Palace Lord muttered, annoyed.

"No idea, but they seem ancient—terrifying. Could they be from the Immortal Realm?" someone wondered.

"Immortal Realm? Impossible. Why would immortals care so much? Even if the Fiend Realm fell, those so-called immortals wouldn’t bother," the Fiend Palace Lord said angrily.

"Palace Lord, we should leave. If not for them, the space might have really shattered," a guard said, recalling the earlier danger.

"What exactly happened just now?" The Fiend Palace Lord, unaware of what transpired after he entered, asked curiously.

One person began to explain.

After hearing the explanation, the Fiend Palace Lord fell silent, his face full of fury. Not only had he failed to retrieve Evan Yang, he’d been lectured by strangers.

When the Fiend Palace Lord finished listening, he said nothing, but his face was twisted with rage. Not only had he failed to retrieve Evan Yang, but he'd been publicly scolded by strangers.

As Fiend Palace Lord, he had never suffered such humiliation before.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang was lying in a stone hut.

One day, as if something stirred him, he slowly opened his eyes and was startled by the scene—a spirit monkey was teasing him beside the bed.

"Who are you?" Evan Yang exclaimed, finally noticing his surroundings.

The spirit monkey ran out excitedly, and Evan Yang got up and followed, stunned by the scenery outside. "How did I end up here?"

Evan Yang had been here once before, brought by the old gentleman who’d questioned him last time.

Now, the four ancients were drinking tea nearby.

At the tea pavilion, the four ancients were quietly drinking tea.

Evan Yang's arrival startled them. The old gentleman stood up and fixed Evan Yang with a sharp gaze. "What did you do? Why did you pass out?"

"Me?" Evan Yang hesitated, unsure whether to spill the truth.

"Don't play dumb. What happened? The Fiend Palace Lord is after you," the old gentleman said, frowning.

"Fiend Palace Lord?" Evan Yang was clueless about what happened after, or that the Fiend Palace Lord wanted him caught.

"Stop pretending. Just spit it out—what's going on?" the hunchbacked elder muttered.

Evan Yang gave an awkward smile. "I just captured his youngest son."

"Youngest son?" The old gentleman asked suspiciously.

"I thought it was something big. It’s just a son—he can always have another. No need to break the void and cause chaos. He was lucky we didn’t teach him a lesson," the hunchbacked elder cursed.

The others smiled helplessly.

Evan Yang was completely confused, only knowing his rapid movement in the sea had caused him to faint.

"Alright, you’re fine now—you can leave," the old gentleman said with a smile after confirming Evan Yang was alright.

"Really?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.

"Do you expect us to invite you for tea?" the old gentleman laughed.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Evan Yang asked, still confused.

"Figure it out yourself. Go on," the old gentleman smiled, then waved his hand—Evan Yang vanished.

"What do you think?" the old gentleman asked the other three.

"So strange—especially how all the water turned colorless," the hunchbacked elder said, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I was stunned when I saw the water lose its color. Now that he's alright, I'm relieved," said the old gentleman.

"This kid's getting harder and harder to read. Last time, I couldn't see his future—now he's really opened my eyes," one of them remarked, clicking his tongue.

"Looks like he’ll be someone remarkable in the future," the old gentleman said, shaking his head.

"That means there’ll be more excitement to watch," the hunchbacked elder laughed.

The other three nodded, and the old gentleman remarked, "It’s been years since I’ve seen someone so interesting."

"Indeed," the other three agreed.

As for Evan Yang, he had no idea what was going on. After the old gentleman waved his hand, he found himself in another void, with only a city visible in the distance.

"What exactly happened?" Evan Yang muttered, frustrated—he was no longer in the water, Phantom Elder was gone, and the Fiend Palace Lord’s story was unclear.

Completely confused, Evan Yang was shocked to find his body had changed—his blood now contained not just green, but a hint of black as well.
