Undersea City

1/19/2026

Evan Chu sped through the skies above the Sea Regions, gazing at the endless ocean below with a surge of emotion. He was certain the Sea Regions and the land were alike, divided among countless factions and sects. If he wanted to find the barrier that led back to the land, he would have to delve deep into the Sea‑Clan’s power structure—maybe then he’d discover a way out.

After flying for nearly half an hour, he spotted Silver Dragon’s trail. With a flash, he appeared before Silver Dragon, noticing that he now carried a faint layer of sea qi—the so‑called sea qi was really just a scent, a bit like fishiness.

Seeing Evan Chu fly over, Silver Dragon came to meet him. “Young Lord, after you left, I ran into a few Sea‑Clan patrol cultivators. They realized I didn’t have sea qi and attacked me. Not wanting to alert the true Sea‑Clan powerhouses, I killed them all.”

“But while killing them, I absorbed their sea qi. You won’t blame me for being reckless, will you?”

“As long as you’re unharmed, nothing else matters. I just dove to the seabed—there’s an undersea city down there, bustling just like a city in the God Realm. Once we’ve absorbed enough sea qi, let’s go in and check it out, ask around about how to get from the Sea Regions back to the land.” Evan Chu said.

“To absorb sea qi, we’ll need to catch a few Sea‑Clan for you to drain. Young Lord, please wait here a moment—I’ll go grab some Sea‑Clan for you!” Silver Dragon said.

“I’ve already caught a batch of Sea‑Clan. Just focus on absorbing their sea qi!” Evan Chu replied with a faint smile.

Silver Dragon was briefly stunned, but quickly understood—he knew Evan Chu had a spatial artifact, so those captives must be inside it.

“Silver Dragon, I’ll bring you into my Timewheel Bracelet—absorb the sea qi as fast as you can, and I’ll bring you back out when you’re done!” Evan Chu said.

Silver Dragon nodded in agreement. With a thought, Evan Chu brought them both into the Timewheel Bracelet’s inner world. As they entered, Evan released his Fire Golden Body avatar outside to hold the bracelet—this way, it wouldn’t fall into the sea or get picked up by Sea‑Clan if anything went wrong. If it dropped into a densely populated Sea‑Clan area, or was seized by a Sea‑Clan expert, it’d be a huge headache.

Once inside the Timewheel Bracelet, Silver Dragon was amazed—the divine energy here was incredibly dense. Training in this place would surely yield twice the results with half the effort. Evan Chu said, “You absorb sea qi from those ten Sea‑Clan, I’ll take care of the other ten!”

Evan Chu didn’t bother asking how Silver Dragon planned to absorb sea qi. He himself used the Star‑Siphon Method to drain all the energy and sea qi from his captives. In no time, he had completely stripped ten Sea‑Clan of both energy and sea qi.

The Sea‑Clan who’d lost their energy were now useless—cripples in this world where the strong prey on the weak. Killing a few was nothing out of the ordinary. Evan Chu casually incinerated their bodies with a divine flame, leaving nothing behind. He felt power surging inside him, fully recharged.

His body was now saturated with thick sea qi—he was confident that hardly any Sea‑Clan expert would be able to spot his disguise. Silver Dragon was just as fast; as soon as Evan finished, he was done too, his aura now dense with sea qi. Looking closely, he was indistinguishable from a true Sea‑Clan powerhouse.

However, all the Sea‑Clan Silver Dragon absorbed ended up dead—maybe his method was different. Evan Chu simply burned the bodies with divine flame. “Silver Dragon, let’s go! Hopefully this trip into the Sea Regions brings us a pleasant surprise.”

After leaving the Timewheel Bracelet, Evan Chu retrieved the bracelet from his Fire Golden Body’s hand. Silver Dragon was surprised to see another Evan Chu identical to the real one, but quickly realized it was his avatar. If Evan could leave such a powerful clone outside, that meant the avatar’s strength was formidable too.

After stowing his fire avatar back in the Timewheel Bracelet, Evan Chu smiled, “Once we’re in the sea, I’ll hide my form. You just do your thing—don’t worry about me, I’ll always be close by.”

Silver Dragon didn’t say another word, just dove into the water and slowly descended toward the seabed. Evan Chu followed right behind, using Watershift. After about half an hour, Silver Dragon finally reached the bottom—but about a hundred meters above the seabed, there was a strange barrier.

The barrier let people pass easily but blocked seawater, making it seem almost magical. Evan Chu hadn’t noticed this at first, but Silver Dragon slipped through and landed on the seabed below.

He saw that this place was almost the same as the land above—there were official roads, trees, wild grass, and in the distance, towering buildings. Plenty of Sea‑Clan walked the main road, all with bizarre forms: fish‑headed and human‑bodied, crab bodies with human heads, shrimp‑headed, and even some with thick turtle shells on their backs.

Everyone who passed by Silver Dragon would glance at him, their eyes full of awe. What neither Silver Dragon nor Evan Chu realized was that, in the Sea‑Clan, anyone who could appear in a perfect human form was either extremely powerful or possessed a supremely noble bloodline—such people had terrifying backgrounds, and no one dared provoke them lightly.

Once Evan Chu entered the barrier, he dropped his concealment and walked openly. He’d considered using Light Transformation, but decided against it—blending in with the Sea‑Clan crowd on the official road might actually be a good thing.

“Young Lord, aren’t we drawing too much attention? Look at these people—they all have odd features, but we’re perfectly human. Should we split up for now?” Silver Dragon whispered to Evan Chu.

“No need for now. Don’t you see how afraid they are of us? Clearly, anyone who can appear here in full human form is a powerhouse. There’s no need to worry about them,” Evan Chu replied.

Evan Chu glanced at the roadside trees and grass—they weren’t green, likely because there was no sunlight. Everything was a uniform dark brown. If they were green, Evan might’ve mistaken this place for land.

After a short walk, a massive city appeared before them. It was clearly bustling, and both Evan Chu and Silver Dragon were curious about this unfamiliar undersea realm, so they quickened their pace toward the city.

When they reached the city gate, Evan Chu saw that the city was built from some unknown kind of stone. Sea‑Clan guards stood watch on the walls and at the gate, and the security was tight—he noticed that the lowest‑ranked guards were late‑stage God King, and most were God Emperor level.

But Evan Chu couldn’t read the script above the city gate—it was probably Sea‑Clan writing. He saw that entering the city required paying an entry fee, just like on land…
