The Terror of the Icefire Eye

1/19/2026

Now that Evan Chu had finally broken through to the early God-Venerable Realm, he was eligible to cultivate the sixth form of the Wind-God Sword Art. But he simply hadn’t had the time. If he did, the power he could unleash would be on a whole different level—far beyond anything before.

The sheer, earth-shattering force of Absolute Cleave stunned the Silver Dragon in the distance. But what truly blew his mind was seeing Evan unleash the Wind-God Sword Art almost simultaneously—two martial techniques at once! It was the first time he’d ever witnessed such a feat. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he’d never have believed it.

As soon as Evan released the Wind-God Sword Art, his body shot backward at incredible speed. The rebound force erupted at that exact moment, but the wind-blade sword-qi shielded him perfectly—he wasn’t hurt at all.

Those two earth-shattering blows didn’t crack the spatial black hole open right away. Instead, the whole space shuddered for what felt like ages. Evan wasn’t the least bit surprised—if this spatial black hole was so easy to break, the Silver Dragon wouldn’t have been trapped here for tens of millions of years.

The Silver Dragon soared over to Evan, worry written all over his face. “Young Lord, are you alright? I never imagined you had such terrifying martial arts—this is truly beyond belief!”

Evan shot the Silver Dragon a sidelong look—was this guy for real? Didn’t he realize Evan was wielding the martial arts of the Frostbane God-Venerable? How could he be so clueless!

“Silver Dragon, do you know Frostbane God-Venerable? How much do you actually know about him?” Evan couldn’t help but ask, his curiosity piqued.

“Frostbane God-Venerable? He was said to be the number one powerhouse in the God Realm back in the day, but I never met him myself. The Primordial Dragon and Frostbane God-Venerable were close, and Frostbane visited the Dragon Clan a few times. But every time, I happened to be away on urgent business and missed him. Young Lord, why do you ask?” The Silver Dragon looked completely bewildered as he replied.

“I am the reincarnation of Frostbane God-Venerable. I’m also the reincarnation of the Primordial Dragon. Back then, those two titans pooled all their bloodline power, and I inherited their combined gifts. That’s why my attacks are so overwhelming. But right now, my realm is still too low—otherwise, I’d have shattered this spatial black hole long ago,” Evan declared, his voice filled with defiant pride.

Hearing this, the Silver Dragon’s respect for Evan deepened to awe. Someone this heaven-defying was simply terrifying! If Evan ever reached late God-Venerable Realm, who in the God Realm could possibly stand against him? The Dragon Clan’s ancient grudge—maybe, just maybe, it could finally be avenged!

Lord Shadowdrake’s persecution—one day, he would pay it back tenfold! The Silver Dragon had already made up his mind: from this moment on, he would follow Evan Chu through fire and water, no matter the cost, no matter the danger.

“Young Lord, looks like this spatial barrier will take a lot more pounding before it breaks. It must be draining you like crazy!” the Silver Dragon said, concern etched in his voice.

Evan didn’t answer right away—instead, he checked his own reserves. To his surprise, his Chaos Divine Power had only been slightly depleted, barely worth mentioning. “No problem. I could attack ten more times if I wanted. Just stand back and watch me tear this spatial black hole apart!”

Without hesitation, Evan unleashed Absolute Cleave and Wind-God Sword Art again. The spatial black hole shook so violently it looked ready to explode—an absolutely terrifying sight.

But after seven or eight consecutive attacks, Evan still couldn’t break it—frustration gnawed at him. Clearly, brute force wasn’t the answer. If only he could use the Ethereal Divine Shuttle, this would be child’s play... but he still had no clue how to activate it.

Maybe only when Frostbane God-Venerable’s memories fully awakened would the answer reveal itself. For now, he could only search for another solution, disappointment flickering across his face.

“Young Lord, why don’t you let me attack for a while? You rest up. If we take turns, I’m sure we’ll break this spatial black hole sooner or later!” the Silver Dragon offered, his voice full of resolve.

Evan knew that if the Silver Dragon attacked, he’d be hammered by the recoil and end up seriously injured. No way was Evan letting that happen. He waved him off. “Better not. Let me think of another solution!”

Just then, Evan considered tapping into the Stellar Power stored in his second dantian. Maybe its destructive force would be even greater—but he hesitated, uncertainty gnawing at him.

At that moment, the God Infant in Evan’s mind opened its eyes again, a wry smile on its face. “You really are a stupid pig. You’ve got all these powerful skills, but you never use them! What a waste!”

Evan was taken aback by the God Infant’s blunt words, left scratching his head. “Enough with the riddles. We’re one and the same—just say what you mean! My bloodline and memories aren’t fully awakened, so there’s plenty I still don’t get.”

“Still stubborn as ever! Your Icefire Eye is savage—after you used it in the Immortal Realm, you never used it again. Did you forget about it? The Icefire Eye’s attack power is every bit as fierce as Absolute Cleave. Use it, and you’ll break this spatial black hole for sure!”

Maybe one day your Icefire Eye will even evolve into the Icefire Divine Eye! You’re wasting a heaven-defying skill by not using it. Sure, the Icefire Eye loses power against cursed targets, but how many people in the world are actually cursed? Besides catastrophic entities, you can use it on anyone.” The God Infant sounded exasperated, like a parent scolding their hopeless child.

Suddenly, Evan saw the light—maybe he really had forgotten about the Icefire Eye. Joy surged in his heart. “Understood. If I’m missing anything, remind me! We’re one body, so don’t hold back.”

“Like I care! I just couldn’t stand watching you bumble around anymore. I’m going back to sleep—good luck busting that barrier!” The God Infant shut its eyes, ending the conversation with a snort.

Evan couldn’t help but marvel at the God Infant’s power—it knew so much more than he did. Especially since it had swallowed up so much thunder power; now it seemed to have digested all of it. Evan had thought he’d get that thunder power himself, to break through to the fourth layer of Thundershift.

Evan drew in a deep breath, circulating Chaos Divine Power through his body. His dantian was only about forty percent full now, but he was confident—using Icefire Eye should be no problem at all.

Following the Icefire Eye method, Evan channeled Chaos Divine Power into both eyes. He snapped them open, and twin beams of light shot out, blasting straight toward the invisible spatial black hole.

Bang! Bang! Two deafening explosions rocked the space. Evan staggered back several steps, nearly losing his balance. The Silver Dragon rushed forward, panic in his eyes, to steady him...
