Great Purge

"I'd like to see the list of all these families." After thinking for a moment, Evan Yang spoke. The Yang Clan patriarch immediately handed him a list, and Evan saw that there were over a hundred families. Checking them one by one would be troublesome, but he was mentally prepared. He began laying out a formation for the Yang Clan right away.

With the list in hand, Gavin and the Yang Clan members assisted Evan in setting up the formation. Evan sealed the entire Yang Clan planet except for one entrance and exit. Without a special token, no one could pass through—similar to the Star Sea, but even stronger. Evan's goal was to prevent powerful gods from entering.

Once the formation was complete, no one below the God realm could enter or leave at will. Evan took Gavin and the list, and went from family to family, scanning them with his Divine Sense. As long as there was any trace of Shard Bugs, Evan could sense it.

So, throughout the Yang Clan, they found more than thirty people scattered among different families. After a thorough sweep, Evan handed these individuals over to the Yang Clan patriarch, while he and Gavin continued checking the area around the formation for any missed spots.

The various families were shocked to discover Shard Bug fusion humans among them and became especially cautious. Only after Evan's cleansing did they relax, and the Yang Clan patriarch dealt with each fusion human one by one. With this, the Yang Clan was finally free of such infiltrators.

After Evan and Gavin finished cleaning up every area, they found the Yang Clan patriarch and others. "I've refined ten pass tokens. Use them as you see fit," Evan said.

Yang Lin and the others took the tokens, and the Yang Clan patriarch gave some to his steward and arranged the rest for his own relatives.

Once everything was settled, Evan and Gavin felt much more at ease. In the days that followed, Evan stayed at the Yang Clan, waiting for the invaders to arrive.

Elsewhere in the Immortal Realm, a backup particle of Immortal Lord Lin slowly regenerated into a human form. He raged, "Damn it, my main body was sealed, but luckily I left a backup. Damn it."

After a while, Immortal Lord Lin said, "Looks like I have to cooperate with him now."

After Immortal Lord Lin finished speaking, he flashed away and appeared somewhere in the Chaos World. Here, countless densely packed creatures were gathered, and at the very center stood a gigantic, monstrous being.

Immortal Lord Lin looked at the crowd—actually high-grade Shard Bugs—and said, "I want to see the Plane Lord."

After he spoke, the Shard Bugs smartly parted to create a path. Immortal Lord Lin walked forward, and upon seeing the gigantic monster, he said, "Plane Lord."

"So? Have you thought it through?" the monster said. This was none other than the Plane Lord, whom Evan Yang hadn't completely destroyed years ago. The Plane Lord had absorbed enough power, and without suppression from the gods, had grown rapidly. All the humans in the plane had already been wiped out—more precisely, devoured by him.

So, furious, he brought his people to the Immortal Realm, intending to devour it.

However, with such a large army, he worried that the Immortal Realm might have terrifying powers. So he sent vanguards ahead. Only after receiving news that the Immortal Realm was easily defeated did he lead all his forces here, pausing for a few days before preparing to attack.

Immortal Lord Lin had encountered the Plane Lord's vanguard while devouring Shard Bugs in the Immortal Realm. The Plane Lord took an interest in him and had the vanguard invite him over. The first time Lin came, he was frightened by the Plane Lord and thought he was strong enough to leave without help, so he didn't accept the Plane Lord's invitation. Now, things are different.

With Evan Yang's return and newfound strength, Immortal Lord Lin had no choice but to rely on the Plane Lord's power.

"You've thought it through. What do you want me to do?" Immortal Lord Lin asked.

"You know, you're a lot like I used to be. Back then, I was obsessed with absorbing power, but in the end, I became like this. Still, I have no regrets—having great strength is my goal. If you want to be like me, I can teach you how to become stronger," the Plane Lord said with a smile.

"Please teach me, Plane Lord," Immortal Lord Lin said.

The Plane Lord laughed and said, "Alright, close your eyes."

Immortal Lord Lin closed his eyes, and a pale blue sphere appeared in front of the Plane Lord. The sphere, about the size of a thumb, quickly shot into Lin's body.

Instantly, Lin's power erupted and increased rapidly, as if he'd taken some kind of stimulant. His eyes turned red and he said, "Excellent, I love this kind of power."

"When the time comes, join us. I hope you won't disgrace your newfound strength," the Plane Lord said with a smile.

"Rest assured, I'll help you devour the Immortal Realm and crush Evan Yang," Immortal Lord Lin said.

"Good, good," the Plane Lord said with a broad smile.

After a few days of waiting in the Immortal Realm, Evan Yang and Gavin White spoke to Patriarch Yang: "Tomorrow, we'll set out."

"Evan, your grandfather and I have already discussed it. Since you're going, for convenience, you should take me, your father, and your grandfather with you. Your uncle and aunt will handle things here," Evan's mother said.

Evan Yang naturally had no objection to his mother's words. He knew Patriarch Yang was his grandfather and ranked above Yang Lin. Even if he objected, Gavin White would side with his mother, so he could only say, "Alright, then."
