What Happened to It

Because the Red-crested Golden Eagle was so fierce, she waited until it flew far away before jumping down.

She originally intended to use the elastic flying cable to anchor herself to the cliff wall and survive.

That elastic flying shuttle was a spiritual tool she often used in the Vermilion Kingdom. The rope was a hundred meters long; by activating the mechanism, it would shoot out and anchor into the stone.

Of course, there was risk. If she hit an unyielding spot and the anchor didn't go in, she would be doomed.

But for her, this was the only way out.

So she jumped straight down.

What she didn't expect was that, as she jumped, the Red-crested Golden Eagle shot over like an arrow and caught her.

She was a little stunned.

It wasn't until the Red-crested Golden Eagle had flown quite far that she snapped back to reality.

Did the Red-crested Golden Eagle just save her?

It was simply unbelievable...

Maybe this Red-crested Golden Eagle was once saved by a human, so it feels goodwill towards humans?

That must be it!

Spirit beasts are always so intelligent.

It just shows that there is warmth everywhere in the human world!

Thinking of this, Grace said gratefully, "Senior Red-crested Golden Eagle, thank you for saving my life! Could you please put me down now? Don't fly any farther! If you go further, I won't be able to find my way back."

However, it seemed to not understand her words and continued flying forward at a leisurely pace.

And it was flying deeper into the forest.

So Grace started to wonder if it was planning to take her back as food?

She imagined a scene where a giant Red-crested Golden Eagle picked her up to feed its chicks, and couldn't help but feel a pain all over her body.

But up here in midair, she couldn't escape anyway.

However, to her surprise, the Red-crested Golden Eagle didn't take her back as food, but instead flew straight toward the corpse of the Fire Demon Dragon.

When they arrived near the Fire Demon Dragon, amid the charred remains of the fire, it landed and crouched down steadily.

Grace got down in a daze.

She saw the Red-crested Golden Eagle step back a few paces, bow its head respectfully to her, droop its wings, and stand beside her with utmost reverence.

Its whole demeanor was filled with the air of a servant.

Can anyone tell her what was going on with this giant Red-crested Golden Eagle, whose cultivation was at least equal to a human Spirit Master, Sixth Rank?

Grace asked it in confusion, "Senior Red-crested Golden Eagle, thank you for saving my life, but why did you save me? And why did you bring me here?"

The eagle just stood there, apparently not understanding her words...

Grace scratched her head, feeling baffled.

Since she really couldn't figure it out, she decided to ignore it.

She walked toward the Fire Demon Dragon.

It was as big as a hill, with a huge belly, sturdy limbs, fierce eyes, sharp teeth, a long tail, and skin as tough as iron, impervious to blades.

But its body was covered in hideous wounds, bloody and mangled.

Its entire neck had even been sliced through by the dragon's claws, with only a small portion of flesh still connecting it.

"Tsk tsk! What a miserable death!" Grace shook her head and sighed. "That dragon was just too brutal! Far too brutal!"

A certain dragon in the spatial sanctum: Hmph! If my cultivation hadn't been suppressed, there wouldn't even be ashes left of it!

......

The higher the rank of a spirit beast, the more valuable every part of its body.

Inside the Fire Demon Beast's spine, there was a kind of Fire Condensation Pearl, a top-tier material for forging artifacts.

It was lying on its side, its long spine facing her directly.

Grace took out a sharp dagger from her bag, intending to cut open its spine and retrieve the Fire Condensation Pearl.
