The Angry White Moon

Silver Six and Silver Eight were both shocked when they saw it. At this moment, Silver Six wasn't doing much better, since he shared a certain link with Silver Five. Silver Five was bleeding from the corner of his mouth, and Silver Eight asked suspiciously, "What's going on?"

"He was hit by a soul attack," said Silver Six.

Upon hearing this, Silver Eight quickly activated his soul-protection artifact, shielding all three of them. Silver Six moved to Silver Five's side and asked, "How are you?"

"No, no problem. I just need to sleep for a bit," said Silver Five, then slowly closed his eyes. Silver Six and Silver Eight exchanged glances and looked at Yang Han lying on the ground.

"We have to wake him up, otherwise we can't get the fruit," said Silver Six.

"Alright, let me try," said Silver Eight. Silver Eight dragged Yang Han's body over, intending to wake him, but Yang Han sighed inwardly, "There's nothing I can do now. What should I do next?"

Yang Han, out of options, didn't know what to do. Just then, a soft cough drew Silver Eight and Silver Six's attention. The woman sitting nearby had awakened—Gavin White looked over, and when she saw them about to do something to Yang Han's body, she assumed Yang Han was dead.

Her expression suddenly changed, and she cried out in grief and anger, "You! Did you really kill him?"

"Such a powerful aura," Silver Six and Silver Eight muttered to themselves. Gavin White had finished absorbing the fruit ahead of schedule, greatly strengthening her Heavenly Dao Intent. But she was in no mood for joy—only heartbreak. She had hoped to wake up and see Yang Han's smile, but instead saw his lifeless body.

"You're not going to talk, huh? Then I'll kill you!" Gavin White shouted angrily. Power gathered in her right hand, her Heavenly Dao Intent surging, and she attacked Silver Eight directly.

Silver Eight and Silver Six were shocked, quickly letting go of the body. Both threw a punch, hoping to resist Gavin White together, but Silver Six, already injured, was instantly sent flying, making things even worse. Silver Eight didn't fare much better, stumbling back several steps and staring at Gavin White in terror. "You can't escape from here. You'd better surrender!" he said.

Gavin White seemed not to hear him. She went straight to Yang Han, lifted him up, and held him, crying, "How could you die?"

Yang Han's soul hadn't expected Gavin White to have such strong feelings for him. His body really did look dead, but his soul was still present; as long as his body calmed down a bit, he could return.

"Didn't you hear what I said? Surrender!" Silver Eight shouted.

"Surrender? You think I would surrender to you? Frankly, today I'll send you to accompany him!" Gavin White put Yang Han down, furious.

Seeing Gavin White's terrifying anger, Silver Eight's first instinct was to run and report to Gold Three. But just as he turned to escape, Gavin White flashed in front of him, blocking his way.

"I told you, you're going to die." Gavin White's eyes were blood-red, as if she'd lost her closest loved one.

Silver Eight was so intimidated by Gavin White's aura that he couldn't even resist before she punched him, sending him flying. Injured, he tried to get up, but Gavin White hit him again.

Throughout the whole ordeal, Silver Eight was utterly beaten, left battered and unconscious on the ground. Silver Six, dragging his body to flee, was also stopped by Gavin White, who threw him heavily beside Silver Eight and Silver Five, knocking him out instantly.

Looking at the three, Gavin White was stronger, but her mood was terrible. She returned to Yang Han's side, tears streaming down her face. "If you're dead, what about the child?"

Seeing the three silvers defeated, Yang Han couldn't help but marvel at the power of the Sky-Nine Fruit. He planned to re-enter his body and ask Gavin White to help suppress the force inside him, but before he could, Gavin's words stunned him. It took a while before he snapped out of it.

"Child?" Yang Han muttered.

Gavin White had no idea Yang Han could hear her. She kept speaking sadly, while Yang Han considered whether to return to his body now. If he did, he'd have to pretend he knew nothing; otherwise, Gavin White would probably slap him to death out of embarrassment.

Yang Han thought it over and decided to figure things out first. The matter of the child could only be investigated secretly, not openly. At this moment, his feelings for Gavin White subtly changed.

Yang Han slowly opened his eyes. Seeing Gavin White crying so close, he smiled and said, "Why are you crying? I'm not dead yet."

"You! You!" Gavin White was startled by Yang Han's sudden voice, causing Yang Han's whole body to fall down with a cry of "Ah!"

Gavin White hurriedly helped him up and said, "Are you alright?"

"I was fine before, but now I'm annoyed," Yang Han said, feeling depressed.

"Weren't you dead?" Gavin White wiped away her tears and all traces of emotion, reverting to her usual attitude toward Yang Han.

Seeing her like that, Yang Han knew she wanted to hide the truth. So he didn't ask directly, but smiled and said, "I was just unconscious. I vaguely heard someone calling me, so I woke up."

Gavin White asked curiously, "You didn't hear what I said, did you?"

Yang Han had heard everything, but pretended ignorance. "I was pretty out of it, didn't hear much. Did you say anything to me?"

"No, nothing," Gavin White replied, her face turning bright red with embarrassment.

Yang Han knew the truth, but kept a clueless expression and asked, "What happened to them?"

Gavin White snapped back, "They tried to kill you—they thought you were really dead. So I wiped them out."

"You've gotten so strong—did you beat them all?" Yang Han asked, feigning confusion.

"Maybe. After absorbing the Sky-Nine Fruit, my Heavenly Dao Intent got a lot stronger," Gavin White said with a smile.

Yang Han forced a smile. "I ate a Sky-Nine Fruit too, but my body is about to fall apart."

"What happened?" Gavin White asked, noticing Yang Han's body trembling from time to time.

"Earlier, a silver-armored man came, and then these three showed up. To defeat the first one without waking you, I ended up eating thirteen Sky-Nine Fruits," Yang Han sighed.

Gavin White was thunderstruck by his words, immediately checking Yang Han's body. "Are you feeling any pain or discomfort?" she asked as she examined him.

Seeing Gavin White so concerned, Yang Han was overjoyed inside, but kept a calm smile. "I'm fine, just can't control my arms and legs."

"Ah, what should we do?" Gavin White asked worriedly.

"I want to expel the remaining force from my body, but I'll need your help," Yang Han said.

Gavin White nodded. "How should I help you?"

"Put your hand on my back and channel your energy into me. I'll use your power to suppress the residual force inside," Yang Han explained.

"Alright," Gavin White said, then did as Yang Han instructed.

A stream of pure energy entered Yang Han's body, and he guided it to the places where he needed to suppress the force. Yang Han also took the opportunity to sense Gavin White's aura and discovered a small life force within it—strong, perhaps due to absorbing the Sky-Nine Fruit.

That tiny life force mingled with Gavin White's aura, and Yang Han easily detected it. The small aura even played with Yang Han's own, which delighted him—it meant the little one was already familiar with him.

"Could it be that she's following me because she's carrying my child?" Yang Han wondered, unsure how to bring it up with Gavin White. But now wasn't the right time—if Gavin found out he'd overheard her, things would get complicated.

So Yang Han kept pretending not to know and played with the little one. The residual force in his body was soon expelled, and once he recovered, Yang Han opened his eyes and said, "All done."

Gavin White withdrew her aura and asked, "How are you?"

"I'm alright, everything's normal," Yang Han replied with a smile.

"That's good. If anything had happened, I'd make them pay with their lives," Gavin White said passionately.

"No need for that," Yang Han replied with a smile.

Gavin White smiled, then looked up at the fruits overhead. "These fruits can't be taken away. What a hassle."

"If we can't take them, let's absorb them here," Yang Han suggested with a smile.

Gavin White nodded. Yang Han prepared another fruit for her, and she absorbed it. Meanwhile, Yang Han, now fully recovered, went to deal with the three silvers—he restrained them and woke them up.

All three were seriously injured and, unable to move, stared at Yang Han in shock.

Yang Han smiled. "You three are something else."

"What do you want?" Silver Five asked.

"Nothing much, just keeping you here. But I'm curious—who sent you?" Yang Han asked with a smile.

"Kid, you'll be scared when you hear it," Silver Five snorted.

"Oh? I'd like to see what kind of person sent three useless guys like you," Yang Han replied, smiling.

The three silvers were furious, but calmed down. Silver Five continued, "Lord Gold Three knows you came here. He sent us to capture you and take you out."

"But you couldn't do anything to me, could you?" Yang Han asked with a smile.

"You're not in much better shape either. Just wait—once Lord Gold Three sees us leave, he'll definitely send someone. Let's see how you survive then," Silver Five threatened.

Yang Han laughed. "Whoever it is, let them come. By then, I'll have used up all the fruits here."

"Damn you!" Silver Five shouted angrily at Yang Han's words. The other two weren't any better. These fruits were tempting, but the woman had absorbed them. If she absorbed more, her Heavenly Dao Intent would become stronger, making her even more formidable. Even if others came, it might not help.

"Take your time resting. I'll come play with you later," Yang Han said with a smile.
