Chloe Zhu was full of grievances but couldn't get a word out, so she sulked in silence.
Minister Zhuo turned to the Yuan Manor servants and said, "Take Sam Yuan home first. We'll deal with the rest when Lord Yuan and Madam return!"
The servants didn’t dare say more. They nodded and went inside to carry their young master away.
Chloe Zhu glanced at Sam Yuan’s hand—his right hand was gripping something tightly.
It was Cindy Zhu’s Jade Pendant...
Once everyone from Yuan Manor had left, Grace Wan said to Minister Zhuo, "Prime Minister, there’s something fishy about this whole thing! You have to stand up for Chloe! We can’t let her be wronged like this!"
"The Emperor saw it with his own eyes and spoke himself. What else can we do?" Minister Zhuo retorted.
"But..."
"Enough. That’s it! Chloe, go back to Serenity Pavilion!" Minister Zhuo turned and left.
"But what about Cindy?" Grace Wan called out.
"She got what she wanted. Just give her what you prepared for Chloe!" Minister Zhuo said without even turning around.
Grace Wan stared at his retreating figure, her face twisted with emotion.
Her daughter...

The Prime Minister's Residence was the most auspicious spot in Danyang City after the Royal Palace. The spiritual energy here was lush, plants thrived, flowers bloomed, and every step revealed a new beautiful scene.
Today, Chloe Zhu found the scenery at the Prime Minister's Residence especially stunning.
But as she walked, she ran into Queenie Zhu, Cindy Zhu, and Jenny Zhu.
Clearly, they were waiting for her on purpose along the path to Serenity Pavilion.
Chloe Zhu stopped in her tracks.
"Oh my, who do we have here?" Queenie Zhu exaggerated her smile. "Isn’t this our one-and-only, above-all-others, the Imperial Noble Consort herself? Should we kneel to you now or later?"
Chloe Zhu didn’t say a word.
"Heard you were caught sneaking around with Sam Yuan by the Emperor, and now he doesn’t want you anymore?" Queenie Zhu raised an eyebrow.
"Get lost!" Chloe Zhu said coolly.
"Still acting all high and mighty?" Queenie Zhu raised her brow. "Seriously, where do you get the nerve to talk to us like that?"
"She may not have the Emperor, but she’s still got Sam Yuan!" Jenny Zhu mocked. "Hey, do you think the Yuan family would actually let her marry in? She’s just a useless good-for-nothing with no Spirit Root!"
"I doubt it!" one of Queenie Zhu’s followers snickered. "Even if she did marry him, she’d only be a concubine!"
"You’re all wrong." Cindy Zhu swept away days of gloom, her smile blooming like spring flowers: "My dear big sister’s real talent is being a bed maid! Hahahahaha!"
"Hahahahaha!" Queenie Zhu and her crew burst out laughing.
Chloe Zhu let them talk and just looked at Cindy Zhu, asking, "Cindy Zhu, you’re the one who kidnapped my people, aren’t you?"
"My dear big sister, what a strange thing to say! You were sneaking around with Sam Yuan—what does that have to do with me?" Cindy Zhu naturally denied it.
Chloe Zhu stepped right up to her, and something in her gaze made Cindy Zhu uneasy. "Cindy Zhu, I know it was you! First you framed me, then you stole my place. From now on, whatever sisterhood we had—it's over!"
"Hmph!" Cindy Zhu sneered. "Sisters? With a loser like you? What makes you think you’re worthy to be sisters with an Imperial Consort like me?"
Imperial Consort?
Heh!
"Not happy about it, are you?" Cindy Zhu’s eyes sparkled with pride. "But what does it matter? You’re just a weak, useless nobody! Nobodies are born to be trampled on, abandoned, and despised! That’s your fate!"
