After leaving Returning Rainbow Mountain, the two of them returned to the Sigil Sect.
Lily Bai sneakily tucked him into her Life-pouch and smuggled him back into her own little courtyard.
Chacha had been here all along.
The moment he saw Lily return, his eyes squinted with joy: "Immortal Lady, you’re finally back! You’ve been gone for so long!"
"Have you been doing well here?"
"Mm! Very well!" Chacha replied. "Your fellow disciples have really taken care of me!"
"You’ve kept my place in great shape," Lily said, glancing around her courtyard with satisfaction. "The flowers, trees, and grass are all thriving better than before."
"You only have me as your immortal attendant, so of course I have to give it my all!" Chacha said.
"She’s got more than just you as an immortal attendant!" Sean suddenly popped out.
Chacha jumped in surprise, then cried out in delight, "Your Majesty the Demon Emperor! You’re here too! That’s wonderful!"
"You still recognize me?" Sean asked.
"Of course I do!" Chacha said. "Over the past hundred years, you loved visiting me, and it was thanks to your divine aura that I could finally take human form!"
"Oh? He used to visit you a lot?" Lily asked.
"Yep!" Chacha said. "His Majesty used to talk to me all the time!"
"He talked to you? What did he say?"
"Chacha!" Sean suddenly ordered, his tone commanding. "Go brew us a pot of tea!"
"Oh..." Chacha pouted and turned to leave.
"Wait!" Lily called out. "You haven’t answered my question yet! What did the Demon Emperor say to you?"
"He said—" Chacha started, then suddenly widened his eyes and looked at Sean.
"Why are you looking at him? Just say it."
Chacha looked aggrieved. "Immortal Lady, His Majesty just threatened me! He said I’m not allowed to say anything."
Lily shot Sean a threatening look and said, "Ignore him! You’re my immortal attendant! You only listen to me! No need to listen to anyone else!"
Chacha glanced at Sean, then at Lily, and finally decided to listen to his master. He nodded, "His Majesty said all kinds of things! Do you want to hear them all?"
"Just tell me the ones that left the deepest impression," Lily said.
"The most memorable..." Chacha thought hard. "That day he snapped off one of my branches—it really hurt! Then he drew a little figure in the dirt with it and said: ‘I went to see you today! Only five years old, so tiny. When will you grow up? If I’d known this would happen, I should’ve taken you back earlier—at least I’d have some memories.’"
‘Take... take... five years old?’ Lily’s jaw dropped, staring at Sean in disbelief. "Sean Shaw! Who were you talking about? Was it me? You beast!"
Sean looked away and didn’t say a word.
Lily took a deep breath and said to Chacha, "Go on."
"Hmm... There was another time, even earlier. I remember it because it was so strange."
"Tell us."
Chacha said, "That day he was leaning against my trunk, looking like he was about to fall asleep. Suddenly, he sat up straight and said, ‘Wet the bed!’ Then he just sat there, not moving at all. After a long while, he said, ‘Nobody cares?’ and left. After he was gone, I checked the spot with my Divine Sense—there was no pee at all! Why did he say he wet the bed?"
