Demon

In the quiet hours of dawn, inside the clay house.

Soft morning sunlight filtered through the windows, scattering flecks of light across the room and imbuing it with a tranquil silence.

He chuckled.

"Then... what exactly are you saying?" Andrew frowned, staring at Tanya Li, whose face was as pale as death.

Tanya Li’s expression faltered. She gazed out the window and murmured, "Look at the morning sunlight—this might be the last time we ever see the sun."

What?!

Tanya Li, clearly not possessed, was acting so strangely.

Andrew’s brow furrowed as he glanced at the dazed Erli huddled in the corner. Listening to the sporadic sounds of conversation from the township outside, he asked in a low voice, "Is there something wrong with this town?"

Pant.

Pant.

Andrew sneered, "Are you crazy?"

Tanya Li clenched her fists, her face flushing unnaturally. "I'm not crazy. I just think the vehicles we have now aren't advanced enough."

Andrew replied calmly, "The planes we usually take aren't enough?"

"Not enough."

Tanya Li sighed again.

This strange, seemingly meaningless conversation stirred up a storm inside Andrew. He vaguely began to understand the situation.

Below the horizon...

Just one step away...

This must be describing something hidden in the shadows. And what’s just one step beyond the Martial Artist realm? Isn’t it Martial General? The word 'below' hints at the lower tier—the power of a Lower Martial General.

Using a vehicle to get closer to the sun...

Not enough...

She was probably hinting that we need to call for reinforcements immediately. With just the two of us at Martial Artist level, we’re far from able to handle what’s happening here.

But the problem is—

If it’s not a Specter, why is Tanya Li so afraid, even using such a roundabout way to warn me?

Andrew frowned in thought, not panicking.

He could sense Tanya Li’s despair and fear, but at this moment, her calmness in the face of danger also affected Andrew, making him steady his mind and think carefully.

Every Martial Artist possesses extraordinary composure.

Andrew was starting to develop his own resolute character. Once he set his sights on something, it became an unquestionable goal. Believing in himself was the only way to succeed.

Tap. Tap. The quiet sound echoed in the room, adding to the tense atmosphere.

Tap. Tap. The silence deepened, the only sound in the clay house.

Andrew sneered, "Are you crazy?"

Tanya Li clenched her fists, her face flushing unnaturally. "I'm not crazy. I just think the vehicles we have now aren't advanced enough."
