Sweeping Through the Heavenly-Immortal Realm

2/14/2026

Evan Yang said goodbye to Xiang Xue, then prepared to leave with Hannah Nangong. As they passed through the city, they noticed something strange.

"Did you notice anything?" Evan asked Hannah Nangong, who was beside him.

Hannah Nangong, strong in her own right, glanced around the city and replied suspiciously, "Yes, it seems something has happened."

"Exactly. Normally you’d hardly see so many footprints on the ground, but today there are so many," Evan said, also feeling it was odd.

The two extended their divine sense and discovered that in a large courtyard in the east of the city, a crowd had gathered—not to watch a show or join the fun, but because a group of cultivators had penned them in.

"Strange. Why are so many people being surrounded?" Evan wondered aloud.

"No idea, but there are a ton of them," Hannah Nangong muttered, eyeing the cultivators.

"Yeah, but why are so many gathered and surrounded by a group? Did something big happen?" Evan asked, curious.

Hannah Nangong didn’t know either. As the two were wondering what was going on, several people suddenly flew up from a nearby building. Seeing Evan and Hannah, they were overjoyed: "Are you Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong?"

"That’s right. Who are you?" Hannah Nangong asked, confused. She didn’t know these people, but they clearly knew her and Evan.

The others were stunned. In just an instant, Evan Yang had crushed the Heavenly-Immortals—far beyond everyone’s expectations. Even Hannah Nangong hadn’t realized Evan’s strength had leapt to first-tier Heavenly-Immortal.

Evan and Hannah exchanged glances at the group. One of them smiled and said, "Miss Nangong, this matter is no longer your concern. You can leave now. As for him, we’ll take him."

Evan Yang’s cultivation was at first-tier Heavenly-Immortal, but his combat power rivaled a peak Heavenly-Immortal. This left an indelible impression on everyone present.

"Miss Nangong, to be honest, we’re from the Qing Family. We came here specifically to capture him. It’s been years without any sign, but now we’ve finally found him and can wrap up. Please don’t make things difficult for us. If something goes wrong, we won’t be able to explain ourselves," the man said.

"I already told you—I’m your enemy," Hannah replied with a cold laugh.

Hannah Nangong snorted coldly, "Want to capture him? No way! Go home and stop wasting time."

They didn’t expect Hannah Nangong to be so stubborn. The group exchanged glances, but orders from above meant they had to take Evan Yang. The situation was now at a stalemate.

Soon, another group arrived—these were people from the crowd, rushing over to surround Evan and Hannah. A battle could break out at any moment.

"Miss Nangong, I’m the one in charge here, Qingxi Qing. Qingyun is my cousin. Our family wants to take him back. If you’re still part of Ethereal Sanctuary, I hope you’ll step aside," said a man stepping forward.

"Step aside? You think I’ll just step aside because you say so? Who do you take me for? And yes, I’m from Ethereal Sanctuary, but I won’t give way," Hannah Nangong replied.

Seeing Hannah Nangong so stubborn, Qingxi Qing frowned and said, "If that’s really the case, then the Qing Family will have to go to Ethereal Sanctuary and consult the Palace Lord to clarify what’s going on."

"No need for consultation. I am myself, the Palace Lord is the Palace Lord, and I have nothing to do with him." Just mentioning the Palace Lord made Hannah Nangong furious; if not for all his schemes, none of this would have happened.

"Is that so? Not bad," Evan replied, hiding his satisfaction. As long as his foes weren’t too tricky, he could take on any Heavenly-Immortal.

"That’s exactly what I mean. I am myself, the Sanctuary is the Sanctuary," Hannah Nangong said.

After hearing this, Evan and Hannah understood: these people were from the Qing Family. They hadn’t expected the Qing Family to really lay in wait here, like hunters staking out a spot, hoping their prey would wander back. If not for the toad in the city’s north, Evan wouldn’t have returned.

With his command, more than twenty people stepped forward. Two had already reached the Profound-Immortal Realm, slightly weaker than Hannah Nangong, but together they could restrain her. The rest were all Heavenly-Immortal level.

As the two Profound-Immortals moved, the others joined in. Over a dozen Heavenly-Immortals surrounded Evan Yang, while Hannah Nangong was entangled by the two Profound-Immortals and several Heavenly-Immortals.

Qingxi Qing shouted, "Attack!"

Immediately, everyone began to besiege Evan Yang.

Hannah Nangong was shocked. Evan’s power could at most match fifth-tier Heavenly-Immortal, but here there were several at seventh and eighth tier. For Evan, it looked like certain death. Furious, she shouted, "Anyone who touches him will answer to me!"

"Miss Nangong, now your affairs aren’t the Sanctuary’s concern, and you don’t represent the Sanctuary. So, with just you alone, the Qing Family isn’t afraid. Don’t struggle pointlessly—better just head back early," Qingxi Qing said.

"Qingxi, you’d better abandon this operation, or I’ll turn you to ash!" Hannah Nangong shouted angrily.

Her anger startled Qingxi Qing; he hadn’t expected Hannah Nangong to say such things for Evan Yang. But he knew that if he didn’t bring Evan back, his family would punish him even worse, so he said, "I’ll accompany you to the end!" "You! Qingxi!" Hannah Nangong was furious.

Seeing Hannah Nangong so worked up, Evan Yang could only sigh. "I’ll be fine. Don’t worry," he reassured her.

"You’ll be fine?" Hannah Nangong thought Evan was joking. The others laughed, thinking he was boasting.

"Kid, you sure talk big. But today, we’ll treat you properly." They already knew Evan could challenge several tiers, so this time they sent only Heavenly-Immortals at sixth tier or above.

The group advanced, ready to attack Evan Yang. Evan just smiled, "Then I won’t be polite."

He flashed forward, moving so fast it rivaled a peak Heavenly-Immortal.

The Heavenly-Immortals didn’t even react. By the time they realized, boom—every one of them dropped, all in free fall.

Over a dozen Heavenly-Immortals fell from the sky, crashing into the snow and forming a huge pit, buried inside.

The others were stunned. In just an instant, Evan Yang had dealt with so many Heavenly-Immortals—far beyond everyone’s expectations. Even Hannah Nangong hadn’t realized Evan’s strength had reached first-tier Heavenly-Immortal.

(Irrelevant system message skipped.)

Evan Yang’s cultivation was at first-tier Heavenly-Immortal, but his combat power rivaled a peak Heavenly-Immortal. This left an indelible impression on everyone present.

Qingxi Qing was shocked and quickly told a Profound-Immortal, "Quick, go capture him!"

Hannah Nangong heard this and laughed, "Trying to escape? No way!"

The two Profound-Immortals were entangled by Hannah Nangong. Seeing the Profound-Immortals unable to act, Qingxi Qing said, "Miss Nangong, do you really want to oppose the Qing Family?"

"Didn’t we already decide that I, Hannah Nangong, am your enemy?" Hannah replied with a cold laugh.

Qingxi Qing gritted his teeth, realizing Hannah Nangong was determined. Suddenly, he did something no one expected—he retreated and tried to escape.

How could Evan Yang let someone who wanted him dead escape? He moved swiftly, appearing right in front of Qingxi Qing. Qingxi was only eighth-tier Heavenly-Immortal; to Evan, he was already a lost cause.

Qingxi Qing cried out, "You’ve offended Qingyun. If I plead for you, maybe you can avoid trouble with the Qing Family. So you’d better let me go."

"Let you go? Did you ever think of letting me go just now?" Evan Yang snorted coldly. He hated people like this the most.

Qingxi Qing just wanted to leave alive, then have the Qing Family send experts to wipe out Evan Yang. So he pleaded, "I know I was wrong. Let me go."

"Let you go? Did you ever think of letting me go just now?" Evan Yang snorted coldly. He hated people like this the most.

"What exactly do you want?" Qingxi Qing asked.

"What do I want? Obviously, it’s time to make snowmen out of you. Who knows how long you’ll survive!" With that, Evan Yang swiftly sealed him, sending him plummeting into the snow.

Boom—a new snowman appeared. The two Profound-Immortals wanted to intervene, but were still entangled. Evan Yang walked over and said, "You two are Qing Family Profound-Immortals. You may be strong, but today you’re unlucky to cross me!"

"Evan, how do you plan to deal with them?" Hannah Nangong asked, controlling the field as she spoke.

"Let them be snowmen too," Evan Yang replied.

"But with their strength, how can you get close?" Hannah Nangong knew Evan’s power shouldn’t be enough to defeat Profound-Immortals, so she was worried.

"Right now, all they want is to escape. So you deliberately let one go, deal with them one by one, then handle the other," Evan Yang continued, sending her a voice transmission.

Hannah Nangong thought it made sense, so she pretended to weaken. Sure enough, the weaker one escaped her range and quickly withdrew.

The one left behind became Hannah’s main target and was quickly struck. Evan Yang seized the chance to seal him, and soon another snowman appeared.

Hannah then chased after the other one. Before long, she returned, dragging the badly injured man to Evan Yang.

Evan Yang smiled, "That’s how it should be!" He sealed him, and boom—another snowman took shape.

The battle in the sky soon calmed. The crowd that had surrounded them scattered. Some cultivators hidden in the city had witnessed Evan and Hannah’s fight and were secretly amazed by Evan’s abilities.

"What now?" Hannah Nangong asked, having finished her task.

"Let’s go—let’s search for the Jupiter System." Evan Yang thought for a moment. There was still something he needed: the Millennia-old Wood Heart.

"It’s pretty dangerous there. Why not wait until you’re stronger?" Hannah Nangong said, worried.

"No need. Let’s go now. Maybe it’ll be a good training opportunity," Evan Yang smiled. He had a reason: his natural cultivation method was connected to spiritual trees. If the Jupiter System was truly magical, it would surely have rare spiritual trees.

Hannah Nangong pondered. She could never quite grasp Evan’s true strength, so she asked, "What exactly is your cultivation?"

"First-tier Heavenly-Immortal. I broke through underground," Evan Yang replied.

"No wonder! But you’re really abnormal—first-tier Heavenly-Immortal and you already rival the peak. That’s terrifying," Hannah exclaimed.

"Is that so? It’s alright," Evan Yang said. But inwardly, he was quite satisfied; as long as his opponents weren’t too troublesome, he could handle any Heavenly-Immortal.
