Fierce Battle for First Place

2/14/2026

Hugh Hei and Purple Mountain—two monster-level geniuses—were evenly matched. Now, it was just a matter of who could hold out longer; whoever lasted would be the winner.

Everyone around watched closely. Whoever won between these two would claim first place. They completely ignored Yang Han.

In the crowd's eyes, Yang Han was just lucky. His flame blocked Nate Nalan's sword, making Nate lose and giving Yang Han a shot at the top three.

Everyone kept watching until Purple Mountain suddenly used a returning spear—spinning mid-strike, his spear whipped back like a shadow to attack Hugh Hei. Hugh was shocked and quickly dodged forward, but ended up stepping right off the platform.

"Brother Hei, sorry about that—I got lucky again." Purple Mountain put away his spear and smiled.

"Brother Purple, your spear technique is as sharp as ever. Looks like taking your number one spot is harder than I thought." Hugh Hei said helplessly.

"Just lucky, that's all," Purple Mountain replied modestly.

The outcome between the two was clear. In everyone's eyes, Purple Mountain had secured first place, and Yang Han could at best hope for second.

But is second place really so great? If Yang Han slipped up, Purple Mountain could cripple him—after all, this round didn't care about life or death.

That was exactly what Nate Nalan thought. If Yang Han died, Nate could at least squeeze into the top three. So he sent a voice transmission to Purple Mountain: "Brother Purple, just kill that kid."

"You want me to kill him so you can take his place?" Zeke Zishan smiled.

"You always understand me, Zeke." Nate Nalan smiled.

"I can help, but you have to give me your prized sword." Zeke Zishan smiled.

Zeke, you're famous for collecting treasures. Looks like my sword won't escape you." Nate Nalan paused, then laughed.

"A sword for ten years of cultivation—worth it." Zeke Zishan smiled.

"Alright, as you say. If you finish him, the sword is yours." Nate Nalan agreed.

"No problem. Only you guys fear this kind of small fry—he's nothing to me." Zeke Zishan smiled.

Nate Nalan knew Zeke had the skill to say this, so he wasn't offended. Instead, he hoped Zeke would win, giving himself a chance to enter the cultivation zone.

Evan Yang was unaware of their conversation—otherwise he wouldn't be so polite.

The battle for first and second soon began. In everyone's eyes, Evan Yang was just lucky to grab second place.
