After Evan Yang left, a number of people appeared at the site. All of them were Demon Lords, including Demoncloud Demon Lord, whom Evan was familiar with.
These people examined the scene and found traces of the Acting Demon Lord's aura as well as an unfamiliar presence. Finally, one Demon Lord asked, "What exactly happened here?"
"Just now, the Acting Demon Lord's aura was extremely strong—he was probably fighting someone. But now, they're both gone," Demoncloud Demon Lord said, frowning.
"So what do we do now?" another Demon Lord asked.
"Do any of you know what this place is?" Demoncloud Demon Lord asked the others.
Everyone knew this was a location where one of the gates appeared. Encountering the Acting Demon Lord fighting someone here was no trivial matter, so the group frowned, sensing that someone had infiltrated the area.
Seeing everyone silent, Demoncloud Demon Lord said, "This is serious. First, let's find out where the Acting Demon Lord went and who he met."
The Demon Lords nodded and began investigating the surroundings. Soon, they received a report from a nearby planet: the Acting Demon Lord had visited, and the manager there had been subdued and rendered immobile. When Demoncloud Demon Lord and the others received this news, they immediately rushed over.
Suddenly seeing so many Demon Lords arrive, the guards were stunned. Only when the Demon Lords entered the manager's residence did the guards respectfully greet each Demon Lord one by one.
Inside, the Demon Lords examined the scene, looking at Neil Kane lying motionless on the floor, unable to make sense of the situation. Demoncloud Demon Lord showed a suspicious look and said, "This technique feels very familiar."
"What technique is that?" a Demon Lord asked curiously.
"Back at Demon Mountain, someone once infiltrated and used this same immobilization technique on several people," Demoncloud Demon Lord said, his frown deepening.
"Are you talking about Evan Yang?" someone exclaimed.
"I'm just saying the technique is his, but I can't be sure it's him. If it really is, that's strange," Demoncloud Demon Lord muttered.
"Regardless, Evan Yang has always been a top target for Demon Mountain. No matter what, we have to find him. If it really is him, then it's perfect timing," a Demon Lord said coldly.
Demoncloud Demon Lord nodded. "That's right. But he's definitely hiding from us, and finding him won't be easy."
A Demon Lord said, "Don't worry. It's simple—he's looking for the gate, isn't he?"
"How do you know?" Demoncloud Demon Lord asked curiously. "Look, the map on the table is gone. Even the manager shouldn't have the right to take it—it's for security. Now that it's missing, it means the intruder was after the gate, and the Acting Demon Lord discovered it and tried to stop him. Who knows if he could win? If it was Evan Yang, the Acting Demon Lord could handle him—after all, that kid hasn't even reached peak Emperor Realm and isn't qualified to fight us. But if it's not Evan Yang, then who could it be? That's why we must catch him to find out. To do that, we should search the eighteen gates—we'll definitely find his trail. If not, we can post guards near all eighteen gates and report any movement immediately."
Demoncloud Demon Lord pondered for a moment and said, "Guarding isn't really possible. The gate locations are secret—even the guards don't know, only the managers and Demon Lords do. So it's up to us to track him down. If anything happens, regroup immediately. Don't act rashly."
"Alright." The group nodded, then left, heading for the eighteen gates.
Evan Yang did choose another gate, but he didn't expect them to find him so quickly.
At that moment, Evan Yang was lingering near one of the gates, waiting.
Suddenly, two powerful auras approached. Evan Yang looked closely and saw an old acquaintance—Demoncloud Demon Lord. Demoncloud was stunned when he saw Evan.
"So it really is you!" Demoncloud Demon Lord exclaimed as he landed.
"That's right. Long time no see," Evan Yang said with a smile.
The other Demon Lord was unfamiliar to Evan, but he recognized Evan. Years ago, when Evan was thrown into the Demonheart Flame, many Demon Lords were present, and Evan escaped alive, infuriating them.
So this Demon Lord also showed a shocked expression upon seeing Evan Yang.
Demoncloud Demon Lord saw Evan's smile and snorted, "I thought it was some powerhouse, but it's just you? Did you also take care of the Acting Demon Lord?"
"That's right. You all reacted pretty fast," Evan Yang said with a smile.
"How did you deal with him? Did you use that pen of yours?" Demoncloud Demon Lord's deepest impression was of Evan's Realm-Shuttle Pen.
"I don't think I need to report that to you," Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Evan Yang, do you really think you can overturn everything now?" Demoncloud Demon Lord was furious, having let Evan escape many times before.
"Not really, but what about you? Are you here to catch me or what?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"What do you think? Of course I'm here to capture you and hand you over to Titus Skyflood, so he can destroy your soul," Demoncloud Demon Lord snorted coldly.
"Looks like you've forgotten something. Back then, none of you Demon Lords could do anything to me—even the Demonheart Flame couldn't stop me. What makes you think Titus Skyflood can do anything now?" Evan Yang smiled, fearless.
"You—" Demoncloud Demon Lord was struck by Evan's words. Back then, they really couldn't handle Evan, even after using the Demonheart Flame, and he still escaped.
"Don't talk about the past. Even now, if I stand right here and don't use any artifacts, you still can't do anything to me," Evan Yang said.
"Impossible!" Demoncloud Demon Lord said, refusing to believe it.
"Is that so? Then try it," Evan Yang said confidently.
"Fine, I want to see just how much you've improved over the years," Demoncloud Demon Lord snorted, then told the other Demon Lord not to interfere, choosing to face Evan alone.
Evan Yang heard that Demoncloud wanted to handle him alone—he couldn't help but feel underestimated, making him even less afraid of Demoncloud Demon Lord.
Demoncloud Demon Lord gathered clusters of black mist around himself, resembling clouds, then sent them directly at Evan Yang.
Like poisonous snakes, the black mist attacked Evan Yang, but he responded with a punch, unleashing a powerful gust that scattered the clouds instantly.
Seeing Evan Yang's immense strength, Demoncloud Demon Lord was shocked, and so was the other Demon Lord—they hadn't expected Evan to be so terrifying.
"Want to go again, Demoncloud Demon Lord?" Evan Yang said with a smile.
"You've changed so much over the years," Demoncloud Demon Lord said in shock and disbelief.
"Not that much, but it's enough to deal with you," Evan Yang replied.
"How arrogant. Watch this!" Demoncloud Demon Lord shouted. He condensed the demon clouds again, making them even thicker than before. Evan Yang punched, but this time the clouds weren't dispersed—they wrapped around him, frantically trying to burrow into his skin.
Not only that, but sparks of lightning appeared around Evan Yang. This was Demoncloud Demon Lord's ultimate move: trapping Evan inside his demon clouds, which invaded the body, damaged it, and attacked the skin with lightning.
But none of this affected Evan Yang. The lightning was nothing to him, and the demon clouds that entered his body were quickly purified—utterly ineffective.
Outside the demon clouds, Demoncloud Demon Lord sneered, "You're finished now. This is my strongest move—you're dead."
"Finally dealt with this kid," another Demon Lord said excitedly.
"Yeah, he's so troublesome. If he hadn't been so confident, he wouldn't have dared to fight me like this," Demoncloud mocked.
"That's what happens when you're too confident," the other Demon Lord laughed.
Demoncloud Demon Lord chuckled and continued to wait. Once enough time passed, Evan Yang would either go mad or be burned to a crisp. But none of that mattered—Evan was still standing inside, unharmed, until the demon clouds disappeared.
Just as Demoncloud and the other Demon Lord were about to watch Evan Yang lose control or be burned, Evan stood there smiling and said, "Demoncloud Demon Lord, your move is impressive, but it doesn't work on me. Sorry to disappoint you."
"No, that's impossible," Demoncloud was stunned. He couldn't believe Evan was completely unharmed. Even Demon Lords couldn't withstand this move, but Evan had, and was perfectly fine.
"Nothing's impossible. If you've got more tricks, bring them on. If not, it's my turn to attack," Evan Yang said with a smile.
"You want to attack? Hmph, go ahead then," Demoncloud snorted after a moment's hesitation.
With that, Evan Yang raised his fist and attacked Demoncloud. Demoncloud saw Evan's fist and felt a bit terrified—it was nothing like what an Emperor should possess. He couldn't believe Evan could do this, but he wasn't afraid and struck back with his own fist.
With a loud smack, the two collided and each retreated a few steps. They stared at each other, while the other Demon Lord was stunned—this was beyond his imagination. To be safe, he secretly contacted the other Demon Lords.
When the other Demon Lords heard that a fierce battle was happening here and that the troublemaker had been found, they all rushed over. Evan Yang, unaware of this, kept fighting Demoncloud Demon Lord.
The two of them fought for over twenty rounds before anything changed. Demoncloud's eyebrows were all burned off, and his body was covered in red and white patches—burns from the Sacred Ice Flame.
Demoncloud couldn't figure it out. What kind of flame was Evan Yang using? How could it be so terrifying?
"Want to keep going?" Evan Yang asked with a smile.
"You really are different from before—much more frightening. But even so, I won't admit defeat. Today, no matter what, you won't escape," Demoncloud Demon Lord said with a cold laugh.
"Is that so?" Evan Yang had already guessed; he noticed that many Demon Lords were approaching from not far away.
"A lot of Demon Lords are already coming," Demoncloud said with a smile.
"I see them," Evan Yang replied.
"You see them? Then why aren't you leaving?" Demoncloud asked suspiciously.
"You Demon Lords don't scare me. So I've decided not to hide anymore. Sooner or later you'd find me anyway, so I might as well fight you all here and now," Evan Yang said with a smile.
