Tough Guy

Shinjuku is just one of Tokyo’s 23 special wards, yet it stands as the most bustling commercial street in Tokyo—and all of Japan.

Kabukicho is simply the name of a street within Shinjuku, packed with restaurants, entertainment venues, and cinemas. It’s also one of Japan’s few large red-light districts.

Kabukicho Street is actually divided into two parts: Ichome and Nichome. East to Meiji Avenue, south to Yasukuni Avenue, west to the Seibu Shinjuku Line, and north to Shokuan Avenue—south of Hanazono Street is Kabukicho Ichome, north is Kabukicho Nichome.

Shinjuku’s other face is its pleasure district, which the Japanese call the “happy street.” Behind its fame as “Japan’s No.1 bustling street” is the legendary adult industry, with Kabukicho as the world-famous red-light zone.

Inside Ichome, eateries and adult shops line the streets, while in Nichome, love hotels are everywhere. The Kuyakusho Street hosts clubs and nightclubs. Gangs have deep roots here, making it Japan’s crime hotspot.

Shinjuku’s adult industry is closely tied to its traditions. Every day, 300,000 people pass through Kabukicho, making it the busiest pleasure district in all of Japan and the East. With crowds flowing all night, it’s earned the nickname "the city that never sleeps."

Night King Club, the most luxurious spot on Kabukicho Nichome’s main drag, is a top-tier venue backed by the Yamaguchi Syndicate—Japan’s biggest gang. Without their muscle, no ordinary person could run a ‘money pit’ like this.

Tony Zhou led Shawn Young and Luna Xiao all the way to the entrance of Night King Club. The parking lot was packed with Lexus and Accord luxury cars, while burly men in black suits patrolled the perimeter.

Standing outside, Tony Zhou pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "Old Luo, we’re here. Come out and get us..." he said.

After hanging up, Tony Zhou waited calmly, looking as cool as ever.

"Uh... Master Zhou, are we waiting for someone here?" Shawn Young asked.

"Yep, that's right. Places like this are strictly members-only. If you’re not a member, you can’t get in—unless you’ve got someone to vouch for you. The guy I’m meeting is a diamond member here. If we want in, we need him," Tony Zhou explained.

"Oh, so that’s how it works. Looks like Japanese folks really love these kinds of places," Shawn Young remarked.

He glanced around and noticed several clubs just like Night King Club, all buzzing with activity. Well-dressed Japanese men came and went—clearly the so-called "successful types."

"Heh, you probably didn’t know this—it’s a Japanese tradition, kinda like in China. The elites here need a private spot for important talks, somewhere reporters can’t find them but isn’t too stiff. That’s why these exclusive clubs popped up, with everything you could want inside. They can play and discuss business at the same time. Tons of politicians, CEOs, and big shots love to meet and mingle in places like this," Tony Zhou said.

"Wow, the Japanese really know how to enjoy life... So, I guess a place like this is full of juicy insider info," Shawn Young finally understood.

"Exactly... Oh—he’s here!" Tony Zhou nodded, then his eyes lit up as he pointed to the entrance.

Shawn Young and Luna Xiao looked over and saw a tall, burly middle-aged man walking toward them.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Old Zhou..." the big guy said loudly as he walked up, his accent clearly from a certain region in China.

"Haha, no worries—we just got here ourselves," Tony Zhou replied, obviously quite familiar with the man.

"Who are these two?" The burly man glanced at Shawn Young and Luna Xiao, then asked Tony Zhou.

"Oh, they’re with me… They’re, uh, a young couple! Haha…" Tony Zhou explained with a grin.

"As long as they’re your people, that’s fine. My big brother doesn’t want too many folks knowing about this," the burly man replied.

"Don’t worry, my people are totally trustworthy. Old Luo, your boss is waiting for me inside, right?" Tony Zhou asked.

Old Luo nodded. "Yeah, my big brother’s inside."

"Uh… Isn’t this Yamaguchi Syndicate turf? Aren’t you guys at odds with them? You still dare to come here…" Tony Zhou couldn’t help but ask, curious.

"Heh… My big brother goes wherever he wants—doesn’t care about the Yamaguchi Syndicate! Our Fuzhou Gang isn’t a pushover!" Old Luo answered proudly.

"Haha, true enough! Honestly, your big brother’s got guts—I respect guys like that," Tony Zhou said with a laugh.

"Let’s go, I’ll take you in." Old Luo beckoned to the three of them and headed toward Night King Club.

A Japanese man in a black suit came up to greet them. Old Luo handed over a shiny gold VIP membership card.

"Irasshaimase, irasshaimase!" (Welcome!) The man’s expression changed instantly—he bowed deeply with enthusiasm, then respectfully stepped aside.

Old Luo proudly clutched his VIP card, leading the trio into Night King Club.

Inside the black-and-gold doors was a rounded corner with a column. Past the corner, a hallway flanked by huge Impressionist oil paintings, surrounded by sculptures and more artwork—each piece exquisitely crafted. It looked less like a nightclub and more like an art gallery.

Beyond the hallway was a large hall, divided into cozy spaces by massive sofas. The lighting was warm and dim. You could see guests and hostesses chatting one-on-one—almost like a hazy matchmaking scene back home.

Shawn Young noticed the décor here was nothing like the clubs back home. Instead of flashy gold and glitter, it felt elegant and dignified. The paintings on the walls and the table decorations were all genuine, high-quality pieces—giving off a sense of real value.

"My big brother’s in a private room inside…" Old Luo said, leading the three straight through the hall to a private suite.

He knocked three times in rhythm. The door opened immediately, revealing the scene inside—and surprising all three of them.

Luna Xiao, in particular, blushed fiercely at the sight inside. She quickly turned away, and if not for her mask, everyone would’ve seen just how embarrassed she was.

Inside, a huge, burly middle-aged man lounged on the sofa, arms around two young, beautiful Japanese women in kimonos. His hands roamed freely inside their collars, squeezing and groping without restraint.

But the most eye-popping sight was a Japanese woman kneeling between the middle-aged man’s legs, head down, giving him some very enthusiastic ‘oral service.’

All three Japanese women tended to him, their moans and whispers making the atmosphere even steamier—their skills were clearly top-notch. The big guy squinted in pleasure, soaking it all in.

"Uh… Big Brother, Master Zhou and his crew… are here…" Old Luo whispered carefully as he stepped forward.

The middle-aged man opened his eyes at the words. The two women beside him quickly backed off, while he unceremoniously shoved the woman away from his lap, zipped up, and stood up with total composure.

Only then did Shawn Young get a good look at him—he was huge, nearly two meters tall, even bigger than Shawn Young. With a wild beard, rugged features, and big bronze eyes that sparkled with intensity, his calm expression carried a natural air of authority.

Shawn Young was secretly impressed. This guy didn’t look like a sleazeball at all—he seemed more like a true badass, almost like Zhang Fei from the Three Kingdoms!
