Winter Gate

2/14/2026

In everyone's eyes.

The youth who broke through the Autumn Gate walked step by step toward the final Winter Gate.

Looking around, that small patch of sky and earth was now blanketed in frost and swirling snow.

The Autumn Gate had completely collapsed, and all the residual force gathered into the final Winter Gate.

As the force from the previous three formations poured in, the ice in the Winter Gate grew ever thicker, the blizzard intensified, and the temperature plummeted.

Grandpa Ju's hand on the armrest shifted several times.

Lin Yi stood before the Winter Gate, gazing at the thick ice that had formed so quickly. Through its transparent surface, he could even see his own face reflected in the ice.

Others break arrays either for speed or for style.

Night Winter stood at the core of the array, facing Lin Yi at the gate. He took a deep breath, surprise and admiration flickering in his eyes, along with a hint of complicated emotion: "Before this, I thought you were the type who only bullied the weak and feared the strong. You hurt our Nightstar people and then just ran off, leaving Allen Ju and the others to clean up after you."

He had already broken through three formations.

Logan Lu murmured to himself, glanced at the time, and saw that another thirty-five seconds had passed.

During those thirty-five seconds, most of the time was actually spent with Master Lin from Seacrest standing there, waiting for the Autumn Gate to reach full strength.

If Master Lin from Seacrest had attacked with full force from the moment he entered, the time spent would have been much shorter.

Earlier, Blake Lin had said it would take him about three minutes to break through all four formations.

Three minutes...

Logan Lu couldn't help but glance at Blake Lin.

Only then did he realize that the always calm and composed Blake Lin was lost in thought.

His gaze remained fixed on Master Lin from Seacrest, as if trying to see through him.

However, as someone from the Orthodox Lin Clan, Blake Lin had encountered countless geniuses over the years.

Yet he was still intrigued by Master Lin from Seacrest—and for Logan Lu, he couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Logan Lu couldn't help but glance again at Allen Ju, who was standing nearby.

Today, with Master Lin from Seacrest shaking the world, the biggest winner might just be Allen Ju.

Allen Ju really turned misfortune into fortune this time.

If he hadn't risked everything these past few days to protect his so-called friend, and refused to give up Master Lin from Seacrest for the sake of the Third Young Master Ju's status, maybe he could've kept his position—but he wouldn't have gained Master Lin's friendship.

This is the Master Lin from Seacrest who broke three formations in a row, and the ones he smashed were Nightstar's strongest Four Seasons Grand Array!

Just spreading news of this feat would be enough to make Master Lin from Seacrest famous all over Beijing.

Master Lin's reputation might not surpass Blake Lin's, but as long as he doesn't self-destruct, his future is wide open.

This world has never lacked geniuses, but what it really lacks are geniuses among geniuses.

Logan Lu even wondered if Blake Lin would end up taking an interest in Master Lin from Seacrest.

After all, based on how he's interacted with Blake Lin lately, Logan knew Blake had a natural appreciation for strong opponents.

Besides, as the old saying goes, heroes admire heroes.

If Master Lin from Seacrest got Blake Lin's recommendation and entered the Orthodox Lin Clan...

Well, they're both named Lin anyway.

If Master Lin from Seacrest got taken in as an adopted son by someone in the Orthodox Lin Clan, he'd really be set for life.

Logan Lu's mind was filled with all sorts of messy thoughts.

He was already considering whether, once this was all over, he should try to get closer to Allen Ju—maybe grab dinner, drinks, or even go for a foot soak together.

Of course, Logan couldn't be sure about one thing.

If Master Lin from Seacrest broke the array faster than Blake Lin, would that actually put him in danger?

Blake Lin, a prodigy from the Orthodox Lin Clan, is famously proud—he might not tolerate a youth stronger than himself.

"The fourth formation, the Winter Gate, has gathered all the force from the previous three and become the strongest segment of all."

Blake Lin squinted and looked toward the final Winter Gate: "How long will it take Master Lin from Seacrest to walk out of there?"

"What special tricks does he have up his sleeve?"

"I'm really looking forward to it."

When Blake Lin said those last three words, Logan Lu felt his heart skip a beat.

It was the first time he'd ever heard Blake Lin use the word 'looking forward to.'

With Blake Lin's status, across all of Beijing, only battles with those China Divine Martial List legends would ever make him look forward to something.

And now, he's actually looking forward to seeing what Master Lin from Seacrest will do, and how much time he'll need to break the formation.

It's a kind of expectation that's almost unbelievable.

"Yeah, I'm pretty curious too."

Logan Lu chimed in from the side, not daring to say much at this moment.

"Don't worry about me getting angry."

Blake Lin seemed to see through Logan's thoughts and spoke calmly: "A true powerhouse never fears someone stronger than himself."

"If you meet someone stronger, just beat them."

"Besides, breaking the array faster doesn't necessarily mean you're stronger. Even if he finishes quicker than I expected—or even quicker than I did—that doesn't prove he's stronger than me."

After Blake Lin finished, Logan Lu gave an awkward smile and didn't dare say much more on the topic.

Looking at Master Lin from Seacrest, Logan found himself admiring Blake Lin's words.

Logan realized he'd been judging a gentleman with a petty mindset.

Well, Blake Lin, coming from the Orthodox Lin Clan, wouldn't be so narrow-minded as to not tolerate even Master Lin from Seacrest.

Thinking all this over, Logan Lu looked again toward the Winter Gate.

Inside the Winter Gate.

A bitter cold wind swept through.

Looking around, that small patch of sky and earth was now covered in frost and storm.

The space was icy blue, with deep snow and layers of solid ice.

With the force from the previous three formations added in, the ice in the Winter Gate grew thicker, the storm intensified, and the temperature dropped rapidly.

The world turned pale blue, with the ice reflecting the cold sunlight.

Lin Yi stood before the formation, gazing at the thick ice that had formed in such a short time. Through the transparent layer, he could even see his own face reflected.

"This is the last formation of the Four Seasons Grand Array."

Night Winter stood at the core of the array, looking at Lin Yi in front of the gate. He took a deep breath, his eyes filled with surprise and admiration, along with some complicated emotions: "Before this, I thought you were just someone who bullied the weak and feared the strong. You hurt our Nightstar people and then ran off, leaving Allen Ju and the others to clean up your mess."
