Feeling the temperature of the Chaotic Magma around him drop, Joe Di breathed a sigh of relief. His Void Mountain was ready at all times—if he couldn’t withstand the heat of the Chaotic Magma, he would immediately summon it. Fortunately, after the first layer of resistance from the Cosmic Flame, the Chaotic Magma hadn’t managed to harm him.
With his physical body strengthened once again, Joe Di immediately extended his Spiritual Sense Domain. He soon discovered that within his domain, the scorching heat of the Chaotic Magma had become controllable.
Joe Di quickly called out to Shelby Young. If she didn’t take advantage of the Chaotic Magma now, she might never get another chance.
"Chaotic Magma!" Shelby Young exclaimed as soon as she emerged, immediately sensing the terrifying heat and spotting the Chaotic Magma beneath her feet.
"That’s right. Go in and recover quickly—the Chaotic Magma shouldn’t harm you under my domain."
"Thank you, Brother Di." Shelby Young knew perfectly well that there was no need for extra words at this moment. If she missed this opportunity, it might take tens of thousands of years for her to recover her strength again.
As Shelby Young entered the Chaotic Magma, her physical body began to recover at a visible rate, and her cultivation surged. Joe Di estimated that she would have no trouble returning to the Prime Realm.
Joe Di didn’t continue cultivating. Instead, he cautiously moved closer to the Cosmic Flame, sending his divine sense through it in search of any trace of the Sacred Sun Pearl. But the moment his divine sense penetrated, it was instantly incinerated by the Chaotic Magma.
Joe Di sighed. Unless Charlotte Ling controlled the Sacred Sun Pearl and burst out from the Chaotic Magma, or unless the Chaotic Magma vanished, he wouldn’t be able to find the Sacred Sun Pearl. Otherwise, he could only enter the Ninth World. But entering the Ninth World was pointless—he still wouldn’t be able to find the Sacred Sun Pearl.
In Joe Di’s opinion, it was just as impossible for Charlotte Ling to control the Sacred Sun Pearl and break free. If even his divine sense couldn’t survive in the Chaotic Magma, there was no way hers could.
Now, the only option was to wait for the Chaotic Magma to dissipate.
Joe Di simply set up a grand array and took out the Storm Pearl that housed Emily Ye’s soul fragment. Emily Ye’s soul was already extremely weak and couldn’t possibly enter the Chaotic Magma to cultivate on her own. Joe Di could only use the array to guide the Primordial Chaos Essence from the magma to nourish her soul within the Storm Pearl, hoping it might help her recover.
In just a few breaths, Joe Di was stunned.
At first, he had only guided a trace of Primordial Chaos Essence—this type of essence was different from the Primal Yin Essence of the Sacred Yin Pearl. The Primordial Chaos Essence from the Chaotic Magma could nourish not only the soul, but also restore the physical body.
Once that trace of Primordial Chaos Essence permeated the Storm Pearl, Joe Di clearly saw a circulation cycle form within it. He barely needed to guide it—endless streams of Primordial Chaos Essence from the Chaotic Magma flowed into the Storm Pearl on their own.
Joe Di watched as Emily Ye’s spirit rapidly grew stronger, her soul intent becoming increasingly clear.
Such a powerful cultivation method—Joe Di was certain that Emily Ye’s technique was at least on par with his own, if not superior. This method seemed to interpret the existence of all things in the clearest and most complete way. In just a short time, Joe Di felt a resonance with the Way in the flow of Dao Rhythm.
Both his Path of Laws and Emily Ye’s cultivation technique originated from the mysteries of the universe, yet each interpreted it from a different perspective. If Emily Ye’s method explained why the universe came to be, then his Path of Laws explained why the universe continues to exist.
Joe Di closed his eyes and immersed himself in cultivation once more.
He had originally thought that all he could do here was temper his body. As for his cultivation realm, Joe Di had never expected to break into the mid Genesis Realm in the short term. Now, however, his cultivation was soaring. If this continued, not only would he reach the mid Genesis Realm—even the late Genesis Realm might be within his grasp.
As Joe Di, Shelby Young, and Emily Ye cultivated with wild abandon, the outer edge of the Chaotic Magma finally became hazy, completely shrouded by the Dao Rhythm of all three.
...
Standing outside the Infernal Lake of Chaotic Magma, Cyrus Flame was relentlessly casting Array Banners. If he didn’t capture Joe Di and tear him to pieces, he would never rest.
After several days, Cyrus Flame sensed something was wrong. According to the usual pattern, the Chaotic Magma never lasted more than seven days. After that, it would gradually recede into the center of the magma lake. But now, it was already the eighth day, and the Chaotic Magma showed no sign of weakening.
Cyrus Flame had already finished arranging his Array Banners. His obsession with killing Joe Di had reached a fever pitch. Only after completing the array did he feel something was out of place.
"Bianna Poe, don’t you think this eruption at the center of the Infernal Lake is different from the previous ones?" Cyrus Flame turned to Bianna Poe, who was standing nearby.
Bianna Poe responded coolly, "Cyrus, don’t you find it a bit odd?"
Cyrus Flame stared at the center of the lake, frowning. "That’s exactly why I asked you—I do find it odd."
Bianna Poe chuckled, "I’m not talking about the Chaotic Magma—I mean Moira Song. Your godson went to Central City to rally the cultivators there, and by all rights, that should have taken no more than half a day. Why is it that after so many days, there’s still no word from him?"
Cyrus Flame was startled, then remembered the arrangements he’d made. All his attention had been on Joe Di, and with his long-standing authority here, he’d never considered the possibility of betrayal.
Moira Song was nothing but an ant—always understanding, always loyal to him like a dog. How could he possibly betray?
"Bianna Poe, I know you have some issues with me, but this is a critical moment for our alliance." Cyrus Flame’s tone cooled as he spoke.
Deep down, he knew something was truly wrong. Before, he’d felt secure—no one had ever dared betray him. But now, grievously wounded, he realized Moira Song had a powerful foundation in Central City.
After saying this, Cyrus Flame turned to the other cultivators. "Everyone, come over here and follow my instructions."

No matter what, he would have to go to Central City himself. It was only today that Cyrus Flame realized he didn’t have a single true confidant.
"I’m afraid they won’t be following your orders anymore," a cool voice said.
Cyrus Flame spun around and saw Moira Song, whom he’d sent to Central City.
But behind Moira Song now stood a large group of cultivators. Some looked completely ordinary, their bodies fully restored; others, though not yet whole, were still recognizable—these were the strongest from Central City.
"Moira Song, you..." Cyrus Flame instinctively stepped back, pointing with a trembling hand at the young man before him. "Moira Song, how have I ever wronged you? Aren’t you afraid of stalling your Grand Way by doing this? You’re only here as a soul fragment—who helped you?"
The young man named Moira Song laughed loudly. "Cyrus Flame, don’t make me laugh. Search your conscience—who here have you ever treated fairly? Everyone is just a tool to you. The only reason no one ever rebelled is because they were afraid. For a single drop of Chaotic Magma, every cultivator who came to Central City had to risk their life to trade for it.
As for me—heh—if I’m not mistaken, all your help was just to make me your second physical body. Besides, when I first arrived, I gave you my Sevenfold Soul Rebirth Path. I was lucky—because I gave you that, your body was fully restored, so I managed to survive. Later, seeing how useful I was, you simply kept me around like a dog.
"So you’ve been plotting against me all along." Cyrus Flame calmed down, realizing his fate was sealed. He regretted leaving Central City—if he’d stayed, even with most of his strength gone and gravely injured, Moira Song wouldn’t have dared touch him.
Moira Song shook his head. "You’re wrong. I never planned to attack you. I knew that in Central City, I’d be doomed if I tried. Outside Central City, if you weren’t injured, no one would dare make a move against you. You brought this on yourself. I’ve been killed once already—left with only a remnant soul. But once is enough. I won’t make the same mistake twice."
(That’s all for today, friends. Good night.)
