In the Dragon Clan's council hall, Nathan Shadow's proposal was far from perfect, but in truth, no one could come up with a better suggestion.
Joe Di didn’t hesitate. The Skyveil Blade transformed into a tens-of-thousands-zhang blade curtain, slashing downward. The space erupted with cracking sounds as every barrier and defensive array was torn apart. The council hall where the Hundred Clans met was reduced to dust under the force of the Skyveil Blade.
The Dragon Clan's council hall was within the inner guardian array. Entering the inner array was clearly not as easy as the outer array—you couldn't just announce yourself and walk in.
Crack! The blade curtain technique of the Skyveil Blade hadn’t even fully formed when Sam Monk’s hand seal was shredded to pieces by the strike.
Just as Joe Di was about to mention Tammy Tang, a commotion erupted nearby. Without hesitation, Joe Di used his divine sense to break the isolation barrier and immediately saw Tammy Tang being blocked by two men. Over a hundred cultivators watched, but none stepped forward.
"Move aside." Joe Di had no patience for the guards. He grabbed both and tossed them aside, then strode in.
"This item is useful to my Skywood Clan. You're merely at the early Genesis Realm and not of the wood attribute, so giving it to you would be a waste. Besides, our domain faces imminent crisis, and if I take it, there's still a chance to do something for our world. So today, you will hand it over whether you want to or not." The speaker was Sam Monk of the Skywood Clan.
At this moment, Sam Monk's aura was no longer concealed, enveloping Vera Tang and Tammy Tang. Giles and Sam Monk stood at opposite angles, making it clear that if Tammy Tang dared to help Vera Tang, he would strike without hesitation.
As for the others, none stepped forward—or rather, none dared to.
Boom! Crack... The Skyveil Blade slammed into Sam Monk’s Worldstaff giant tree, producing a piercing screech.
Even if he were foolish, he knew better than to help Vera Tang and Tammy Tang.
Besides, years ago, the Dragon Clan's top expert, August Owens, died because of Emperor Ye. The Dragon Clan dared not speak of this grudge, but now he certainly wouldn't stoop so low as to help Emperor Ye's sister, Vera Tang.
No matter how strong Vera Tang's cultivation technique was, she was still outmatched by Sam Monk. His combat ability was far superior, and when his domain pressed down, Vera Tang involuntarily retreated several steps before being suppressed again. The whole space turned to mire, thick and suffocating.
Vera Tang shouted softly, her Genesis Realm domain surging wildly, and the oppressive feeling in the space instantly lessened by more than half.
A look of surprise flashed in Sam Monk's eyes. Earlier in the hall, Vera Tang's domain was only slightly weaker than his. He thought it was because he hadn't gone all out. But now, even at full strength, Vera Tang still wasn't completely suppressed and could resist within his Genesis Realm domain.
The explosion of blood mist at his brow made Sam Monk sigh in relief—Joe Di’s Skyveil Blade stopped at his brow and didn’t split it open. Before he could speak, a massive hand grabbed his neck and lifted him up.
Hearing this voice, Tammy Tang felt a surge of joy—she knew Joe Di had arrived.
Franklin Young and Mark Mariner instinctively stepped back several paces. They were well aware of Joe Di's presence, and that his strength had grown tremendously compared to a few years ago.
"You're courting death!" Sam Monk hadn't expected anyone to call him 'old bark.' He flew into a rage and reached out to grab Joe Di.
As a member of the Skywood Clan, he had an innate sense—he could roughly gauge a person's age and cultivation. Joe Di was frighteningly young, and his cultivation was definitely not at the Genesis Realm.
A mere ant not even at the Genesis Realm dared to act arrogant before Sam Monk? Did he think he’d lived too long?
Joe Di didn’t hesitate. The Sky Curtain Blade transformed into a tens-of-thousands-zhang blade curtain, slashing downward. The space erupted with cracking sounds as every barrier and defensive array was torn apart. The council hall where the Hundred Clans met was reduced to dust under the force of the Sky Curtain Blade.
Joe Di naturally didn’t care about the Dragon Clan’s hall. Just now, when Tammy Tang was bullied by Sam Monk, no one from the Dragon Clan stepped up. Since that’s the case, why should he be polite? If the Dragon Clan wants to fight, so be it.
Crack! The blade curtain technique of the Sky Curtain Blade hadn’t even fully formed when Sam Monk’s hand seal was shredded to pieces by the strike.
Sam Monk was utterly terrified. How could this be a Prime Realm ant? This was clearly a top-tier Genesis Realm powerhouse. At this moment, he dared not underestimate Joe Di in the slightest. He summoned the Worldstaff, which instantly transformed into a tens-of-thousands-zhang giant tree and swept down.
As the giant tree formed, the Worldstaff’s domain merged completely with Sam Monk’s own, stacking atop each other. Even peak Genesis Realm experts couldn’t claim their domain was stronger than this.
Giles, standing aside, was startled by Joe Di. He hadn’t expected Joe Di to force Sam Monk to go all out. Even though Sam Monk’s technique was unleashed in haste, it was still extraordinary.
Once Sam Monk’s Worldstaff completely enveloped the space, Giles smirked coldly. How ignorant. Even he would need a lot of effort to defeat Sam Monk. And yet this young cultivator, who’d appeared out of nowhere, dared to be so arrogant here.
Even if Sam Monk failed to kill him, August Owens wouldn’t let Joe Di go. To draw a blade in the Dragon Clan and destroy their hall was no different from seeking death. The Dragon Clan had always been a top-tier clan, even slightly stronger than the Demon Clan.
Boom! Crack... The Sky Curtain Blade slammed into Sam Monk’s Worldstaff giant tree, producing a piercing screech.
Sam Monk was horrified to find that with just a single strike, Joe Di split his Worldstaff giant tree in two.
Sam Monk’s stacked domain shattered instantly. His domain had already been weaker than Joe Di’s; now, with the stacking broken, Joe Di’s domain completely suppressed Sam Monk’s Genesis Realm domain.

Even now, Sam Monk wanted to use a stronger technique, but under the pressure of Joe Di’s dominant domain, he had no way to act.
Spurt! His brow was struck by the blade curtain, and a jet of blood shot out. Sam Monk watched as the blade curtain, only momentarily stalled, swept forward. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead. Under this blade curtain, his space grew increasingly viscous, making even the slightest movement difficult. This was the very method he’d used against Vera Tang moments ago, and now, after only a few breaths, it was being used against him.
The explosion of blood mist at his brow made Sam Monk sigh in relief—Joe Di’s Sky Curtain Blade stopped at his brow and didn’t split it open. Before he could speak, a massive hand grabbed his neck and lifted him up.
"So you’re the bark who tried to snatch my friend’s item?" Joe Di said disdainfully, hoisting Sam Monk. He still didn’t know what Sam Monk wanted, or if Tammy Tang had more to say. Otherwise, he would have killed Sam Monk with that previous strike.
"Friend, this is a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding," Sam Monk squeezed out through his throat, his neck in Joe Di’s grip.
"A misunderstanding? Heh, your Skywood Clan has nothing worth having. I killed Guang Mingzi before—he was trash too." Joe Di chuckled coldly, giving no face at all.
Guang Mingzi was killed by this slaughterer? Sam Monk shuddered inside. He’d wanted to ask Tammy Tang about Guang Mingzi’s whereabouts. If he’d known Guang Mingzi was killed by Joe Di, he might have skipped the auction and gone straight to hunt down Joe Di.
Only now did he realize just how powerful the cultivator who killed Guang Mingzi truly was—so strong it defied belief. Revenge? Heh, he wasn’t even sure he’d survive this encounter.
Sam Monk’s scalp tingled, his mind spinning with ideas, desperately searching for a way to save himself.
Giles was completely stunned. How could the Human Clan have such a terrifying existence? He was certain Joe Di was a Human Clan cultivator—absolutely certain.
(That's all for today's update. Good night, friends!)
